    I am just beginning to learn about basket making... rank amateur. I enjoy your videos. So slow and common sense.

    I appreciate how slowly you show the initial weave on the uprights first, then on the basket itself. Your description of what you are doing is also excellent - I am guessing you must be a natural born teacher. thank you so much for your videos! Wonderful!

      You prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my brother these days :)

    This was a wonderful video. Cleanly, patiently and understandably taught by someone who seems down to earth and suited to working with natural products who has the gift of making beauty in nature lend itself to practical beauty in the home. I will seek out the other videos intentionally as I am sure to enjoy them and doubtless will learn great skills. Thank you so much for your time.

    Does it matter whether you have odd or even number of uprights for this to work?

    • @BigGreenArt
      @BigGreenArt  Год назад

      no, not for waling, only important for slewing, when you need an odd number

    Thank you so much for this lesson on weaving :) Will this work for garden obelisk as well?

    • @BigGreenArt
      @BigGreenArt  3 года назад +1

      Pairing easier, but this will also work.

      Big Green Art thanks a lot, I already tried and made two :) they’re far from perfect obviously, but I’m happy with the result. Will make another with the method you suggest 👍🏼

    It's a beatiful stone in the middle, but I wonder what it's function is. Weighing it down, presumably, but can you tell us why this is important? Probably a stupid question, but for a teacher those are the best ones, 'cause you probably can't imagine someone not knowing this :)

    • @BigGreenArt
      @BigGreenArt  3 года назад

      Turns out you do know! It's just to weigh down while the uprights are still tall, and a little bit unstable.
