tip: I press alt to compare items and item lvl auto pops up easier!

Ahhh you opend my eyes :D thank you ! I'm playing for 6 days now and I have 3 chaos orbs and 1 regal orb in total, and I'm 77 level specter zombie mage necromancer.

2016 called. It is now possible to know the ilvl by pressing Alt key while hovering mouse over the item. Woohoo 2 years improvements

You can use a 2h weapon or a Bow instead of a 1h+Shield.

Just a little tip for you you can hold the ALT button while having your cursor on an item and it will display its item level no need for macros or chat clic. :D

LiftingNerd Gaming this reciepe is not working for me, i check the item level on all my gear, its a full set over 60... do you need a one hander and a shield? i was trying this with a two hander...
VMAKDUBS u have to make sure that it is all between lvl 60 to 70 if any higher it will not work

You still haven't answered my question, what level and area do I have to be to get level 60 gear drops?
Too bad this recipe is only available at higher levels these days, getting there in HC is such a struggle for me! :D

Phethos, drop what you're doing, follow LiftingNerd's flame or searing totem builds and you'll be there. You'll be kicking yourself that you didn't start off that way from the start. I'm right around a month in the game and in the mid 70's now after many failures in the 40's.

Strongboxes with the +5 levels mod in a lvl 70 zone could also drop Regal Orb worthy rares, right?

So I had to rewatch the video 3 or 4 times. I'm just a little confused. You offered up a lv 34/43 ring and you still got the chaos orb but you said that the entire item set has to be lv 60+. So what's the deal with that?

i have tonnes of belts and rings but no amulets ;_; it feels like there's a 10:1 drop ratio between amulets and rings/belts
Agreed. That's what I save my alchs for. If I can turn each of those into a chaos by completing a turn-in set, I've doubled their value.

If all items are 20% Q the recipe will give one more chaos/regal. But its almost impossible i think :P
True, while that is a rare thing to experience it is worth keeping in mind :)
kemotox if you find 20% whites most loot filters highlight them use T1 essences on them or alchemy

No It doesn't. It take far longer if your playing the game for the first time. Exploring all maps and listening to all dialog take longer than 8 hours to 60 by far. On top of that spend long time mapping out progression on the skill map having no prior experience.
