Can I just say thank you for this video: you explained things quite well, and I appreciate that you took the time. I couldn’t understand what the forums were talking about when it came to sets and recipes when selling. This will definitely help when it comes to what I pick up and what I don’t!!
Guys if you like these videos, please do me the favour of sharing it on your social media network sites such as Facebook, Twitter or whatever you prefer. Doing that is the single most effective way for my channel to grow and you would be helping me A LOT. I appreciate you guys being here and thank you for your support! :)
all of it is still relevant, except with the skill gems, most skill gems are not worth more than 1 chaos even less, some skill ges however, Empower/enligthen fx is worth a lot more but also a lot rarer
Great information! Particularly loved the vendor recipes. I always seem to have far too many gems that go unused, so the trade to gemcutters might be just the thing to retrieve some of that tab space.
Another useful recipe for lowbies is if you vendor 3 of the same type of potion you will be given a higher tier potion, so for the example you would receive 1 large potion in exchange for 3 mediums.
Hey! Really enjoying your PoE beginner videos. If I may be so bold and to request one on how you organize your stash tabs and one on some general tips for when the new 3 month league begins this month. Thanks!
Glad to hear that man! Thank you for telling me! I will definitely make a guide or two on the things you should be aware of when starting a new league to do as good as possible :) Thank you for the suggestion! :)
this is a very helpful guide. thanks a lot, poe is very confusing for new players especially if you're used to normal mmorpg's where you loot everything for currency.
Your videos are such high quality, and very user-friendly/noob-friendly. Not to mention I can tell you're a great, well-balanced person in general. Too few of those these days!
Started my first playthrough at the start of the current League (Beastiary) and I've found 2 6slot weaponsthat I remember. I really wish I watched this video an hour or two ago.
I haven't even watched the video, but as a new player with 4 characters in parallel just starting Act II, all I can say is: Up to level 10, collect EVERYTHING, and then sell whatever isn't the pick of the best. After level 10, only pick up weapons or armour that are yellow or better, and always save them in your stash. Other characters could in future use them so only ever sell them if you have something that is a better same-level-access equivalent (obsoletion). Honestly, I still would never sell anything orange or better. After level 10 don't bother picking up weapons or armour that is lower than yellow rarity unless you need to use it. It is clutter that is worth less than the hassle of carrying and selling it. Other stuff at all levels: Always keep all small useful things Orbs, Fragments of Orbs, Gems, etc. Don't waste consumables on low-level stuff. I often still pick up small junk because it can still be sold and it only takes 1 square in the inventory. Leaguestones; I save them all and often use them, but some people just sell them all. It a personal choice I guess.
Generic Internetter picking up white weapons at high level if they are close to your level and then hitting it with +quality, upgrade to magic and then rolling for good affixes will yield a much better weapon than your standard rare. don't ignore whites.
I highly recommend picking up all of the scrolls of wisdom you see regardless of whether you have a small sustainable stack or not. There's no reason to only pick them up when you run low imo, you can't have too many of those.
Hey LNB when are you going to continue your survival guide you stopped playing your arc totem character right around video 8. I have been playing for the first time following along with your progress and learning all kinds of useful info honestly it’s helped me break into this game and feel more confident about starting POE. Hope you continue that character again soon even if it isn’t in the current league I feel like it was to valuable to abandon especially for us newbies who enjoy and learn a lot from a pro like yourself !
LiftingNerdBro Please, keep creating Forsaken Masters content, we want to see more of it. Especially builds, hints, tips, farm points..... anything....
Something you didn't really address in this video, I have a sort of OCD thing where when I see even white items dropped near a waypoint I always feel like I should grab them and run them back to a vendor to get some wisdom scroll fragments. Is there any point in this? Or should I just ignore them and move on to rarer more important loot.
Nostradingus I also have this tendency. I feel like if something drops, and it's able to be sold, I will always benefit from doing so. It doesn't seem to be terribly time-consuming, even if you need to use a waypoint scroll (so long as you are at least getting equivalent to the scroll, and then some). I could be wrong, though.
If you still read this, there are trade recipes for sets, if you have one of each equipment (1x 2h weapon, 1x armor, 1x glove, 1x boots, 1x belt, etc until you have a full set), then you can trade them for orbs of chances or chaos orbs later.
they all have to be the same color and the higher the lowest items ilvl Plus item color = the return i,e 1 two handed weapon or 2 one handed weapons or 1 one handed weapon and a shield + 1 armour + 1 gloves + 1 boots +1 belt + 1 amulet + 2 rings all ilvl 60 plus and rare(yellow) will give you a chaos and to top it off if all the items are unidentified it will give you 2 chaos instead and there is a prophecy you can buy that gives you one extra chaos for the recipe once per proph they can be cost effective to buy them cheap and store them till you are ready to do the vendor recipe a few times
@LiftingNerd Gaming what items do people pick up white/blue/rare to upgrade? I am not sure what items I should be getting since even in a map I get items ranging in all directions of level. What normal items do people pick up to turn into rare, and unidentifed items do people pick up and with what affixes.
I'm still pretty new to PoE and i've gained a couple melee splash gems and sold them to vendors. (face palm) this vid has helped me a lot so far. thinking about re rolling a character to get the full potential out it now since i know what i'm actually doing. i have a marauder right now. I'm from diablo 3 and know the witch doctor very well, any characters that are similar to it? or fun? I was looking at the shadow but i'm not sure. any help guys? i'm finishing act 2 soon
I recently started playing this and holy fuck, i have so many questions, but one i have from this video....considering the rarity of the 5 and 6 link items, is it worth keeping or using lower level items until or during the end game if you have one? If all your other items are workable? Or is there a way to level it up? or is its low level at that point too much of a bummer even though it's number of links are rare AF?
thanks. just hit lvl 40 with a mage. I use a item filter, yet i don't really know what items are GOOD or bad. fuck.. i have found a couple of 5 link items..... now i know i should pick em up
Oh I will mate! I just want to get the beginner guides out there first. I have a lot of build videos and stuff coming up as well :) Thank you for your kind comment :)
pfft. if you dont pick up blue and white items, especially when starting out you wont have hardly any money/crafting mats. You also always want to pick up items that have all three colors. fused together. As vendoring those will give you the item that allows you to change the color of sockets. You also want tons of orbs of alteration so you can buy and. use those gem orbs and trade them for orbs of fusing. You will go through tons of ID scrolls but its worth it. Its really cheap and easy to get tons of id scrolls once you get a portal stone. This way you can go back to town cheap without using portal scrolls. Obviously once youre established you no longer need to do this
Very helpful because coming from a new players point of view this game has the absolute worst inventory I have ever seen I hate this garbage ass system
lakie92 yeah but its small and I dont like how for a chest piece you need 6 squares that is shit and people I talk about the game with agree its not bad to the point I won't play it is just annoying really
First useful beginners guide i've seen for PoE :-)
Can I just say thank you for this video: you explained things quite well, and I appreciate that you took the time. I couldn’t understand what the forums were talking about when it came to sets and recipes when selling. This will definitely help when it comes to what I pick up and what I don’t!!
You are the first one who clear and understandable explaines all those different game aspects and I am really thankfull I found youre channel
I just begin POE, about a week now still a noob but I learn a lot from this channel.
Extremely useful. I've been playing off and on and had no idea about some of these.
Awesome video dude. Just starting playing this and this is the exact type of info that I was looking for.
Guys if you like these videos, please do me the favour of sharing it on your social media network sites such as Facebook, Twitter or whatever you prefer. Doing that is the single most effective way for my channel to grow and you would be helping me A LOT.
I appreciate you guys being here and thank you for your support! :)
LiftingNerd Gaming Does this guide remain fairly accurate even in 2.5?
all of it is still relevant, except with the skill gems, most skill gems are not worth more than 1 chaos even less, some skill ges however, Empower/enligthen fx is worth a lot more but also a lot rarer
LiftingNerd Gaming ey man Just a question, from which country are you?
He sounds danish in the accent. How do i know , well iam danish :P

Another useful recipe for lowbies is if you vendor 3 of the same type of potion you will be given a higher tier potion, so for the example you would receive 1 large potion in exchange for 3 mediums.
It's the very first thing that is covered in the video?
Hey! Really enjoying your PoE beginner videos. If I may be so bold and to request one on how you organize your stash tabs and one on some general tips for when the new 3 month league begins this month. Thanks!
Glad to hear that man! Thank you for telling me!
I will definitely make a guide or two on the things you should be aware of when starting a new league to do as good as possible :)

Wow thank you! I always wondered why people on streams leave so much of the loot behind. Now I know!
this is a very helpful guide. thanks a lot, poe is very confusing for new players especially if you're used to normal mmorpg's where you loot everything for currency.
exactly what I was looking for, huge thanks!
Your videos are such high quality, and very user-friendly/noob-friendly. Not to mention I can tell you're a great, well-balanced person in general. Too few of those these days!
Checking vendors every time you level up would've fit this video well.
chumppi checking for what?

I like how your mana vibrates between 332 and 333 mana at 08:55

Thanks man! Glad you liked it :)

Path of Exile: Beginner Tips - Which Items Should I Pick Up, and Why?
I just started playing PoE, so this is very useful. Thx!
Thanks a tone dude! These were very useful.

Just started yesterday, this video was very useful, thank you.
I highly recommend picking up all of the scrolls of wisdom you see regardless of whether you have a small sustainable stack or not. There's no reason to only pick them up when you run low imo, you can't have too many of those.
+Echoherb Not that I have anywhere near that, but I think 4 full tabs would be too many.

"its not something that grows on the trees." I died when he said that. But when he repeated it I almost fell out of my chair.
4 years later filterblade made this obsolete but a good tutorial still even after 4 years
So how are we supposed to get 6 socketed items if they so rarely drop?
Trancer006 I dunno. I tried taking showers and fucking cheap hookers, still no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

Oh I will mate! I just want to get the beginner guides out there first. I have a lot of build videos and stuff coming up as well :)
