Could be wrong about that. But Js I knew about him about 8 years ago *because* of his part in rock music and his attitude about rock music. I know other rock fans think the same, it’s never been surprising to me that he went back to these routes!

But at the end the video, he smiles like “I think I am OK” and walks away like all the hate doesn’t affect him anymore…. Just my interpretation 😬
He really outdid himself in this one!! But what I love the most is how he included his best friend and drummer Rooks. Travis is thee goat, but Rooks has been playing for MGK since day one, he had an accident not so long ago and that’s why they show his leg on the video. MGK a real one.

I'm a whole ass punk rock kid and still am. Tickets to My Downfall was my favorite album of 2020. MGK and Travis are a huge part of the pop-punk revival and I'm here for it.

I was thinking that when I listened to it in the car today. Especially the intro. I've also heard Pixies and Weezer. And you can be sure he planned those influences specifically. He's very musically knowledgeable which is one of the things I really admire about him.

That's literally why nobody does punk rock music anymore, because any time *anyone* tries to get into it they are met with toxicity and negativity and the only people that are "accepted" are the ones that don't blow up... if you blow up or are popular, you're a "sell out" or a "poser."
This is coming from a person raised in the punk community, punks just aren't more pretentious than metalheads, omfg, they don't want social justice, they want to be unique and to look cool
