GEORG FRIEDRICH HAENDEL {HALLLE 1685-1759 LONDRES} LAUDATE PUERI DOMINUS {HWV 236} {1706} - AETEMA BRATISLAVA VOCALIS BRANISLAS KOSTKA.
This is young Handel (at age 22) at his very best. What an impression he must have made on the Cardinals, and his fellow musicians, with music like this when he arrived in Rome in 1707. This is an absolutely brilliant work, and it really comes to life in this fabulous performance. No other recorded version comes anywhere close to capturing the thrill of this great early Handel work. Kamila Zajickova is breathtaking - her voice perfect in tone and dynamics for the music. The choir and orchestra are world class and the conductor achieves a tempo throughout that - at times - makes your hairs stand on end. CONGRATULATIONS to all those involved, and grateful thanks for uploading such a heartwarming recording! Thank you so much. Two final thoughts: 1) Why, oh why do we seldom hear this music? 2) Please, please consider a CD release of this recording. I am certain Classic FM would receive it with open arms here in the UK.

Please, World, I've traveled but never ascended to such an illustrious Rococo or Baroque masterpiece such as what I'm beholding. Where is this church/cathedral?
They're gone! Either these geniuses of transcendentalism took their gifts with them to the better world or those talents lie wasted in the dredges of mediocrity. Decades before Internet these inspired composers and their performers lifted life to a higher plane. We await modernity to catch-up with antiquity. Keep the GEIST alive!

Ms.Zajickova's breath control is simply amazing. It puts me in mind of the legendary Teresa Stich-Randall.
