The Lich isn't really someone known for its super powers or abilities like Tatsumaki. The Lich in adventure time is somewhat like the literal nature of the end itself. To put it into a sort of analogy. If you imagine Tatsumaki as a very powerful star that could eat up planets with ease. The Lich is what causes its supernova that extinguishes the life of said star. He's is legitimately the end of all things no matter how much you preserve yourself. While at the same time Finn being the opposite which is the creation of all things. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong though.
The lich is catalyst comet and embodiment of all that is evil while Finn is the catalyst comet and embodiment of all that is good. However the Lich was burdened with a purpose thats apocalyptic which is to end all life for the god of chaos Golb. So hes not really the manifestation of inevitable end of all things but an evil scholar with purpose of extinguishing all life. Reason this makes a difference is because in the finale just because the lich misinterpeted his methods of achieving his purpose resulted in him being sealed away in a tetris box. While finn is the ultimate good he keeps being reincarnated to fight against the lich for eternity as they both come back however the fatak winner is already known since Finn's reincarnations gets their memories to be reset or hidden too deep within, Lich remains always intelligent regardless of his vessel except one time where he got turned into sweet pea which also killed him partly as Death can kill life, only way to end death would be giving it life. Yet part of is conciousness still resides in the depths of his mind.
I agree on the lich, but I’m pretty sure Finn represents heroism and justice. Finn is more of a willingness to still exist and fight to survive even in the face of an all consuming end. It’s also worth noting we’ve only witnessed the lich at his weakest even at his well of power him regaining his power was interrupted by Finn and jake so we never truly saw him at his best

It wouldn't surprise me if the Lich won the first fight. Tatsumaki is incredibly self-absorbed and cocky, the Lich is definitely going to manipulate her. Even Finn knew just how much of a threat the Lich was if left alone.

A big part of the Lich's abilities is that the people he fights are afraid of him. They fear him, they dread him. Billy, someone who didn't fear the Lich was able to defeat him multiple times with just hand to hand combat. Tatsumaki isn't going to be afaird of him either and whilst you'd need magic to seal him away for good, i think she'd pretty handily beat him until they find a way to seal him
I think it would be in a similar fashion to the “Pure of heart warrior” Finn. Where she’d just barely be able to resist it, before eventually fully collapsing.

And even a guy so pure of heart and mind could barely resist it. It isn’t just fundamental willpower we’re talking about here. Its mindset too with the seeming only way to break the Lich’s hex on one’s mind is overwhelming the feelings of cold and weakness in oneself with that of love and warmth. Like I’m not joking, I’m pretty sure the Lich and his magic can only be beaten with his total opposite: Life and love. He’s basically a poison on reality, and can only be stopped with an antidote.

Since you brought up Senator Armstrong, I might as well request my favorite matchup for him: Armstrong vs Lordgenome from Gurren Lagann. Villains who got tougher to beat after they *exited* their giant mechs. Peak Lordgenome (whether post timeskip or prequel OVA) would stomp, but getting him specifically during his pre-timeskip battle against Simon (out of practice compared to prequel ova, and before huge power amp post timeskip), I think it could be a fair fight.
I think Tatsumaki can defeat the lich easily the first time. The second time he comes back as somebody she knows, but doesn't care about. She beats him again, but doesn't finish him off so he can't possess anyone else- he death breaths and she drops him, killing his host. Third return he comes back as Tatsumaki's sister. She does not win that fight.

Idk all but a few good ones. A greag hand to hand and weapon combat skill( dosent have a great mastery with specific weapons but basic knowledge to use most of the weapons) Insane endurance for long period figths. Great strength. One time he suplex a giant monster ho has the size of a whale. Durability is i think his best of all. One time got punched repeatly by a giant of 15-20 meters and survive. He had a enchanment for electric resitence and he debeloped a fire resitence too due his relationship with fire princes( my man got a power up the firussy 🥶) He fougth a great amount of enemies and monster sience birth so he ad a great experience in combat. One chapter he got telekinesis for some spirotual shit and lose it in same chapter. Also he tecnically knoe basic magic but never used it. And this is teenage finn(17 aprox) So i geniuly think he could survive a lot and put a great figth to the apostles( not the god hand these duded plays with reality) Also he has a lot of magic and futuridtic weapons and armourds but never use it because idk maybe no drip. Tatsumaki is Moon Level + and maybe barely Small Planetary basing it off her being way stronger than Psykos Orochi which hugely upscales from normal Orochi who can shoot a Moon Level blast at Saitama in his fight with the bald hero (being able to one-shot a character makes you 7.5 times stronger by Vs Battle Wiki standards so using that we can get a numerical increase in power from Orchi Moon level to Tatsumaki Small Planet Level. Finally, Tatsumakis's speed can get to FTL+ ranges at best and not any higher. It wouldn't surprise me if the Lich won the first fight. Tatsumaki is incredibly self-absorbed and cocky, the Lich is definitely going to manipulate her. Even Finn knew just how much of a threat the Lich was if left alone.

A big part of the Lich's abilities is that the people he fights are afraid of him. They fear him, they dread him. Billy, someone who didn't fear the Lich was able to defeat him multiple times with just hand to hand combat. Tatsumaki isn't going to be afaird of him either and whilst you'd need magic to seal him away for good, i think she'd pretty handily beat him until they find a way to seal him
The lichs mind control isn't caused by fear, the ancients he controlled had no concept of fear
I think it would be in a similar fashion to the “Pure of heart warrior” Finn. Where she’d just barely be able to resist it, before eventually fully collapsing.

And even a guy so pure of heart and mind could barely resist it. It isn’t just fundamental willpower we’re talking about here. Its mindset too with the seeming only way to break the Lich’s hex on one’s mind is overwhelming the feelings of cold and weakness in oneself with that of love and warmth.

Since you brought up Senator Armstrong, I might as well request my favorite matchup for him: Armstrong vs Lordgenome from Gurren Lagann. Villains who got tougher to beat after they *exited* their giant mechs. Peak Lordgenome (whether post timeskip or prequel OVA) would stomp, but getting him specifically during his pre-timeskip battle against Simon (out of practice compared to prequel ova, and before huge power amp post timeskip), I think it could be a fair fight.
I think Tatsumaki can defeat the lich easily the first time. The second time he comes back as somebody she knows, but doesn't care about. She beats him again, but doesn't finish him off so he can't possess anyone else- he death breaths and she drops him, killing his host. Third return he comes back as Tatsumaki's sister. She does not win that fight.

Lich is actually a really powerful character, some people underestimate him, he's the master of mind control and manipulation, and again: if adventure time wasn't restricted for a "kids show" it would be extremely gore and dark just because of the lich, even if tatsumaki was fast enough to do something to avoid any lich's spell, she would instantly be dominated by him, although he should have powers that we never seen before to, before they nerfed him to simp of golb.
I heard that in the studio of Adventure Time, there was a rule for the Lich. Whenever he is on screen, the jokes should immediately stop and things should get serious, and it just stops being a kids show.

Durability is i think his best of all. One time got punched repeatly by a giant of 15-20 meters and survive. He had a enchanment for electric resitence and he debeloped a fire resitence too due his relationship with fire princes( my man got a power up the firussy 🥶)
He fougth a great amount of enemies and monster sience birth so he ad a great experience in combat.
One chapter he got telekinesis for some spirotual shit and lose it in same chapter. Also he tecnically knoe basic magic but never used it.
And this is teenage finn(17 aprox)
So i geniuly think he could survive a lot and put a great figth to the apostles( not the god hand these duded plays with reality)

What is this battle, who asked for this, WTH, this is not even a battle this is not fair at all give mercy to my girl Tatsumaki😭. Also, Vs Battle Has him scaled higher than this video and we know how they love to underplay all their characters' feats and statements. The Lich is at least Large Plantery and maybe multiversal+ from his statement of being able to end all life in the infinite multiverse of his verse. His speed is easily FTL+ if not Massively FTL+ from scaling to beings that can travel the universe in a short amount of time. Tatsumaki is Moon Level + and maybe barely Small Planetary basing it off her being way stronger than Psykos Orochi which hugely upscales from normal Orochi who can shoot a Moon Level blast at Saitama in his fight with the bald hero (being able to one-shot a character makes you 7.5 times stronger by Vs Battle Wiki standards so using that we can get a numerical increase in power from Orchi Moon level to Tatsumaki Small Planet Level. Finally, Tatsumakis's speed can get to FTL+ ranges at best and not any higher.
