    what you're going through is the most difficult withdrawal there is. alcohol could be worse but were splitting hairs. I was on 30mg Valium for about 14 years. I kept my dose the same the entire time but there were times when I did start taking 5 or more 10mg tabs per day. The best thing to do is research how to treat your body to recover your GABA system. You have to quit things like caffeine and alcohol or you will never recover. You need a high-protein high-fat diet only healthy fats. You have to rebuild your brain and your nervous system. You need amino acids and fatty acids to restore nervous system tissues. I've been clean for 10 years I'm feeling better every day. You don't just recover one day you're going to be recovering for the rest of your life. It will take about 6 months to a year to get some real traction on your recovery. This is why it's so hard you feel stuck and you feel like shit all day every day. It gets much easier after that. Start working out after you begin to feel better. Set goals and stick to your plan. Bottom line once you get past about 2 weeks it's all downhill from there. The recovery is so damn slow you can't really notice it but it's happening a millimeter at a time. Research benzo cessation there is tons of info out there. Good luck.

      I'm not an but I'm an empathizt and I watch people suffering and I'm drawn to sending the healing vibes. Sooo anyhoo this comment about how to slowl recover from benzo addiction is absolutely amazing I just had to tell you that word for word you described a plan to follow. I really touched my heart and it seemed everyday simple and the expectations and the struggles and I really hope that many people will find this comment and they will give them hope to try and recover.

      @@blindsidedbylife143 I can't believe how many people just average people are now on opiates and benzos from the doctor for feeling anxious or depressed or just because they say they're in pain. And the doctors give them to you till you die it's up to you to quit. You learn the hard way they don't want to stop you they want to up your dose. I comment because I really do hope I can help someone. Thanks for your consideration.

    Your the first person to say that it feels like the flu, because that’s how I’ve felt for the past 16 months since my taper started from my taking one milligram tablet of Alprazolam, three times a day for 18+ years.
    I’ve gotten myself down to taking, two, 2 milligram tablets of diazepam or valium now. I know I’m towards the end but still have a long way to go.
    Some of these jokers and their videos are making us look worse by stating they’ve got fibromyalgia and other symptoms that doctors are already looking down at people for claiming that’s their issue. Even if they think they do, they probably shouldn’t say so, because some doctors already think we are full of shit about our benzodiazepine withdrawal.
    You’re going to be alright, stay strong girl. You got this shit!

    Back in the last 90's I had to withdraw from Xanax. My prescribed starting dose was 1 mg 3 times a day which should knock out a horse! I was on it for years and when I finally got off of them the nightmare was just beginning. I had no idea what I was in for. You are smart to taper slowly now.
    Fast forward several decades, and I had a massive brain hemorrhage and when I was recovering from it, it reminded me of how I felt when I was in withdrawal. Hang in there.

    • @dave4505
      @dave4505 8 месяцев назад +1

      That’s what I was taking for over 18 years. Three, 1 milligram tablets of Xanax a day
      I am going on my 11th month of my tapering and have gotten myself down to about one milligram of diazepam (Valium) a day. I still feel like shit and I really can’t do much of anything but lay in bed. How long did it take you to completely taper off of the benzoes? and around how long was it until you started feeling somewhat normal again to where you could be a productive member of society again?
      I haven’t taken any supplements as of yet, not sure what to take as I am going through this on my own. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
      Thank you so much,
      Dave

    Pain and suffering is an inherently lonely experience and you cant change that. I have no experience with benzos but I do take two different stimulants for a chronic condition. Anyways, just writing a comment to say I dont fully relate but I'm listening ❤
    Some people find it quite dark, but personally I go on RUclips and watch videos of people talk about their darkest days. It truly helps me because I'll find myself thinking how glad I am to be in bed crying vs in a hospital after a car accident or sitting in an oncologists office or watching my family and friends open gifts on Xmas knowing it's my last Xmas.
    Anyway, wishing you the best. You can do this.

      @LifewithErin777  10 месяцев назад +4

      Wow, thanks for sharing your experience. I too have a chronic illness that I’m on a trial drug for and it’s almost in remission. I do serve RUclips but I am being very careful to not watch really dark things on benzos cause it just makes me scared, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from. It’s a very lonely experience when you’re experience experiencing something of people around you aren’t. Thanks so much for being here. I truly appreciate it.

      @MyCrazyLife777 did you have to be put on other meds during your beginning of your tapper? I have low bp and my heart rate is pretty low. I have developed pots symptoms. It's all after coming off of Adderall in September 23. So I am a mess. I was only then on klonopin 4mg that's when I noticed my heart rate was slower. and bp tanked lower after stopping adderall so I am afraid tapering klonopin will kill me. Even doing it slow. I don't trust any detox places nor my psychiatrist. What can I do?

In the moment at my low dose to stopping was horrible but I tried not to give it power and the days pass by before I knew it I was ok. You can do this keep going and it will be a distant memory.
