Thank you for sharing your video. I will do mine ASAP, because I added 1/4 gallon of washer fluid instead of coolant antifreeze. I will take care of the whole system later.

Hi, Perhaps you can consider installing a preheater giving the old girl some relieve with a (than not so) cold start? Anyways great episode ones again 👍 Cheers, Albert P.S. I really admire the fact you don’t just trash parts because they look old and dirty like the coolant expansion tank!!

It’s surprisingly good at cold starts now, cleaning up the terminal connections and new battery made a big difference. Cheers Al, I try my best to reuse where possible, but the radiator definitely needed replacing 👍🏼

I love this channel, found it last year I think and am always pleased to see new uploads. The quality of your work is exemplary I think.
I said it before, for a young lad you're very switched on.

Thank you 😊 the thermostat was relatively new that’s why I didn’t replace it in the video. The old one stuck open so swapped it out previously.

Maybe yiu can help. 2015 Ford transit, been to two dealers no one can figure this out. After it’s been running, it cools down then it dumps most of the coolant on ground. As a hydronic heating guy, I’m trying to find out how system works. When yiu heat coolant it expands and that’s the function of over flow, but is there a relief valve that blows and the reservoir(overflow), is too small. If the system gets under pressure, there must be some sort of place for expansion ect. So big question is why after it’s parked is it blowing coolant all over driveway. One dealer changed a resistor or some sort of part, the next one was just to do a pressurized test, but dais same sensor was to blame, changed it again, if the friggin computer doesn’t tell the techs now A days no one seems to know anything anymore, not their fault but old fashion back yard mechanics are a dying breed. Can anyone help here.

That’s a really odd one. So it’s blowing coolant when the system is cold?

@@TurnersWorkshop97 we don’t know, after is been off. I suspect while it’s in cool down, it is one of my plumbers truck, I said frig it, and changed the tank and that hose, sure enough cracks all over the tank, what really pisses me off, is the little bastards, I’m old enough to call anyone under 40 a kid, why is it that I could feel and get fluid on my fingers when I checked around, and then this problem is not uncommon and I’d expect a dealer to know this, but anyways, the kid’s nowadays if a computer doesn’t tell them what’s wrong, god forbid maybe do something else to figure it out. I also blame piece work, why do extra if you’re not going to get paid. Anyways, that’s my rant, but so far, been few days, and it’s still fine. I did see a lot of discolouration around the top where it has a over flow, not sure if it’s a built in pressure relief in cap that makes it leak there, but the new part came with a new cap so I changed it as well, so ya mystery. Thanks so much for getting back to me, I’ll let yiu know how I make out. Dan
