  • Joe Dator is a cartoonist for the New Yorker. In this short film, he shows the glories and the ardours of the art of cartooning. As fewer printed venues extend cartoons to their readership, Dator claims that the only thing that would make him stop submitting his work to the New Yorker is a court order. Will he get one? Watch to find out!

Thanks for doing this Sam and Joe. I always suspected New Yorker cartoonists slid down poles, drank umbrella drinks, and received back rubs.

This is a wonderful portrait of a wonderful cartoonist. And a heckuva guy. Really nicely done!
