    First off I lived in Egypt for 25 years
    the driver was really teasing him I never was in a taxi that went that speed and I was in many taxis
    of course you would give the poor maid some money
    she sees you as a wealthy tourists
    women who work as maids in Egypt are really poor.

      @FinkworldTravels 5 лет назад +6

      I enjoyed the whole video up until that point where he spoke about the maid and the 20 pound note. And then to resort to name calling ("Ballsy"), was way over the top, completely uncalled for. If she were not performing any kind of a service to/for him then I can understand to a point, but to deny her any part of it is simply chintzy and shows a lack of compassion for those less fortunate. Shame!

      @@zazapipe Buddy you seem to forget that 500EGP can barely get you food for 3 or 4 days with the current economy. a $20 tip (I live in the US) is generous but a very acceptable amount to give to servers, maids or bus drivers.

    One more thing, Maybe there’s something weird about people whom you met, but there will always be that good part that is not hard to be found you know.. The Good in Egyptian people is the best thing about Egypt 🌸✨

Wherever you came from, all people are treated the same. I agree with you when you talked about the cleaning lady. You will see a considerable number like here. Marhaba Mike, your follower from Egypt here, I love your vids man and your passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures. But I have to tell you something when you talk about Cairo or Egypt in general: IT IS SO BIG AND SO DIVERSE just like you said. So you can't judge the whole city based on your experience since your experience could've been totally different if you went to another area of Cairo, and 1:46 correcrtion: there ARE quite a lot of posh parts in Cairo, trust me.

    If you ever go back to Egypt, don’t spend too much time in the city. Just look at the pyramids and leave. You should go to Sharm El-Sheikh, the cleopatra sea in Marsa Matruh, and of course, Alexandria. Also, you wouldn’t want to miss out on the ancient buildings in Luxor and Aswan. The people there are the most friendly. You should also try to find someone to show you around to give you the best experience. I can help you with the last part.

    You have to go out of the central district for the posh areas. The central district was the posh area until the 60s but went down hill. I lived on Cherif (Pasha) Street, Immobilia Building built in 1939; art deco. We could see the pyramids in those days. That was the tallest and most modern building's till the 50s.

But that time still I haven’t done my RUclips channel just lately I realized that I should have done my YT channel long time ago.

    Traffic in Egypt can be very dangerous. 3 of my friends were in a car crash couple of months agk. Only one of them survived with broken ribs and the two others were dead on the scene. The problem is that they weren’t speeding, they actually were parked on a highway as their car broke down and a truck I guess or a van hit them. Pray for them to rest in peace inshallah.
