I love seeing over 40 influencers that I can relate with. I’m turning 43 soon and I am looking for a foundation that gives flawless look without being cakey but doesn’t break the bank. I can’t wait to try this.
You don’t seem awkward, you don’t need to be perfectly polished. I like that you’re just down to earth, spontaneous and unpretentious, it’s refreshing.
I. Am. Amazed. I went out and bought this yesterday evening. I wore it today with no primer or powder, while teaching 7th graders in a mask all day. It still looks good! I'm shocked! Thanks for the review 😊
I actually snagged this pretty early for $14.99 on Amazon. I got the first two shades, so I could get two bottles and mix them for about $30 total (and get twice the amount of product). I absolutely love it, I adore light coverage so this is one of my new holy grail foundations. To me, it’s even worth the $20, because I actually even like it better than my high end light coverage options. Also, on me it lasted amazingly for 9+ hours. Btw, it looked gorgeous on you too.
Same. I bought this as soon as I saw it and not many reviews were out yet at all. But I figured this is exactly what I wanted since I don’t like heavy coverage foundations. I was nervous because I didn’t wait for any reviews and I have oily skin - but it’s been AMAZING. I’ve been downsizing my makeup collection and literally got rid of all of my other foundations. This has become my favorite!
I found a bottle of the lightest shade (hidden away on a different shelf at Walmart because it’s sold out everywhere) and wearing it for the first time today, and I love it! It is so lightweight and serum-y and just melts into the skin leaving it looking soft, smooth, blurred and hydrated. Combined with the L’Oréal Lumi Bronze bronzer in the lightest shade and an ELF putty blush, and I LOVE my face today! 🥰
I was looking for a new foundation and felt lost in a sea of reviews and choice, with a distinct lack of 'real life' information for maturer skin. A search on You Tube pointed me in your direction and I'm so glad I found your channel. Following your review of this foundation I managed to get my hands on a bottle of the lightest shade, and wow! I am really impressed by this product and in love with how it makes my skin look. Thank you so much for doing these reviews. You are now my go-to-beauty-guru 🙂
I found this a few weeks ago at Walgreens and I love the way it makes my skin look and it feels so lovely and hydrating..got it in the lighted shade and its perfect. Great review. ✌
Wow!!! I'm so glad this randomly turned up in my recommendations, I love this review, you seem like such a lovely warm person, thank you for your honesty, it's really refreshing, you should have millions of subscribers honestly. Hi Shelley, thank you for the very detailed review. I love this stuff! All of my regular foundations have suddenly turned against me and make me look like I'm 30 years older!! This is now my One & Only 🥰 Have a great weekend.
Coverage looks pretty darn similar to Wet and Wild tinted hydrator which goes for 5 bucks or so and doesn't have denat. alcohol in it..Thank you for the review Shelley! ♥️ Saved me 20 bucks🥰
I feel like This product dries down like you said a satin finish. Maybe a little bit more on the mat side but that's what I love. It actually doesn't need to be set with powder in my opinion and I forgot how much I love this one. The L'Oreal tinted serum is neck connect with the wet and wild tinted hydrator
I'm late to this foundation party, but I LOVE this stuff.........covers my red, but feels super light and natural and last surprisingly well! I do use a primer, I alternate between Rodial Glass primer (which I love love but its $39) and Nyx Marshmallow primer. My new go to foundation!
I don’t have the “high” expectation that a foundation or BB/CC cream or tinted moisturizer should still be “perfect” after hours of wearing a mask and going about your day. (I’m a nurse… so this has been a “lack of high expectation” for years, in my case.) I will look into this foundation. Thanks for the review. Stay safe!!! 🤗 By the way.…. Love the eye look hair color and your new cut! (Haven’t seen any of your latest videos, in a while.)
Tanya, as a fellow nurse, who also LOVES makeup, the Charlotte tillbury setting spray, is hands down the BEST for 12 hrs of mask wearing. I also use the Lancôme “long time no shine” setting powder and my usual foundations (Mac, Estée Lauder, Hourglass, and I even picked up this L’Oréal one due to all the hype around it) and they all work awesome with the CT setting spray. Give it a try.
@@anb4156 I can’t use the setting spray because it irritates my sensitive skin and rosacea, due to the fragrance and 2 kinds of (non-fatty!!!) alcohols it contains. I’ve used the setting spray by Hourglass and 2 by CoverFX, on days off and (pre-pandemic) when I wasn’t constantly wearing a mask. They worked ok, most of the time without a mask… but still eventually allowed the makeup to fade and rub off.
@Tanya. Oh no, that’s a bummer!! Bc the CT one is AMAZING. I forgot to add the Milk- hydro grip primer is also a part of the mix! Maybe that won’t irritate u!
@@anb4156 that primer unfortunately also contains “fragrance ingredients” (the floral extracts) and at least one type of non-fatty alcohol. 😔 I actually tried a mini of this and it gave me breakouts and bit of what looked like contact dermatitis.
I got this one back in June and it’s been perfect for hot summer weather. I love the way it applies so easily and how smoothly it wears off throughout the day. My only annoyance is the dropper - I just can’t get it to work and end up using what I can wipe off, but it’s not a big deal. I’ve been waiting for your review of this one, so I’m glad you also like it! ❤️
I had the same issue. I used the pump from the Butter Believe it foundation from Physician Formula. Works perfectly. Its the same thread and it stops the mess right in its tracks. I wish Loreal would make this one in a pump. PLEASE. Hope it helped you.
I think the TMNS finish is nice, but even the palest shade was too dark or muddy for me. I am a pale neutral and not even the lightest shade in other lines. But I do love the Revlon Illuminance Foundation (shade 105). It's so nourishing, but also looks great for a long time. I bought it in part because of your review.
Well you're not kidding it is sold out everywhere I can't wait to get my hands on it thanks for a great review and I'm glad the first day of school went well for you
Thank you for the comprehensive review, Shelly. It’s especially good to know how a foundation holds up with wearing a mask. All your makeup ended up looking lovely💖💖💖
Thank you for mentioning my two challenges, Blue Veins and Sun spots! Yay! I have this product coming from Target this week. Please keep up the great work for us real working women....not full time You Tubers that can take all the time to perfect.
I purchased this foundation last week and love it. I also had to get the shade 2-3 because the light shade was out of stock. It works for summer, but I will need to get the light soon. This is the best foundation I've used. It ticks all my boxes.
Angie Hot and Flashy also reviewed this yesterday. She loved it. How I wish that L'oreal would get on the cruelty free bandwagon. With that being said, it looks great on your skin. Very light and natural with a great blurring effect. Great job, Shelly. You found a winner. Enjoy your weekend. Are they finally done with the addition?? ❤❤
Tiny bit of indoor things and we still need the gutters hung for the addition! But almost done :) I'm hopeful that some of the news about China changing their animal testing requirements will come to fruition, as that is the last component of L'Oreal being cruelty free (selling in mainland China). They themselves don't test their products on animals or source animal-tested ingredients, and are one of the biggest companies working with China on alternative testing methods. But until China changes those laws (and while L'Oreal continues to sell there), I don't consider them cruelty free. :(
@@goow I'm sure you can't wait for everything to be finished. I too can't wait until cosmetic testing is banned. It's senseless and cruel. Here's to hoping that it comes to an end soon.
That looks so pretty on you Shelli, I've got to have it now. I feel so bad that your nervous, I've been the same way getting back out in society..I tend to be a hermit and the pandemic got me in a cozy all by myself but pretty lonely mood. I bet your great at teaching, hope all goes well for you💛😘
Me too! I definitely tend to isolate, and honestly the pandemic finally allowed me to without having to defend my hermit-ness! But I also found myself getting lonely, too. It's nice to know others felt like I did :)

Like it's predecessor Tru Match, this has quickly become a favorite of mine! I canNOT believe how well it stayed on either, under masks, in hot humid Midwest weather...! I expected it to slide around and rub off with ease, and it did neither
I really wanted to love this product so badly for my normal to dry skin. I was hoping for that holy grail foundation for everyday use! I don't know why but I found it dry, matte, not dewy at all. I got the same color as you. Mine wasn't even runny like yours was on your mixing palette, it was super thick! I didn't use moisturizer though, because I really didn't want to "Influence" the serum hype with another moisturizing product. I wanted to see how it made my skin feel. My bottle is sitting since I bought it. Maybe I need to try again with moisturizer! It looks great on you and all I can think is "why me?" ☺👍
I’m getting ready to hit 30 and I have super dry skin and wrinkles under my eyes (not ready to get more Botox yet). This is such a pretty foundation, you’ve sold me. But tell me how you look like that at your age. I’m trying to age gracefully like you 🥹
Nice look, may try that foundation. I have to agree with you about your hair, the first time I saw that you cut your hair my first thought was wow, that is a great look.
this stuff is also amazing when mixed with a long-wearing foundation too. I love it with Catrice HD. Women are asking me what I'm using since it gives more coverage with that soft glow. You looked beautiful! I hope you have a good school year!
I must’ve missed the memo on this one .. I NEVER buy foundation without your review first though, as I have very similar skin. You’re the best! Thank you!! 🤗
New to your channel. Love your content. I almost bougth this tint today but hesitated. I'm 37 with veery dry/sensitive skin. The product looks gorgeous on your skin. Will definetly buy
I loved this video!😊 im glad you gave the side note explaining the hyaluronic acid, because I bought this product just yesterday and I absolutely love it😍, except it dried my face terribly. Im going to have to figure something out because its great and i want to continue using it. ❤
Hi Sharon! Have you ever done the "7 skins" routine? It's basically just layering a hydrating essence or toner in multiple layers on your skin until it can't absorb any more moisture, then applying moisturizer to lock it in (and going to bed, in my case, since I do it at night!) I do this at least once a week (though in the winter I'll do a couple layers in the morning too). The best way to combat water loss from the skin in a dry climate for me seems to be supplying as much moisture as I can to begin with since it won't be coming from the environment.
@@goow Wow, that's very good information, I have not tried that but I will. But also, since I've stopped using all my new hyaluronic products, my skin has thankfully returned to normal. I still want to layer as you said, but don't wanna use that stuff. 😊
looks good Shelly, I bought it about a week ago and love it on my 56 year old skin, especially for work, I work in a hospital and so happy this is available in my country, because Lóreal not always is in the Netherlands. I know I like it, but still wanted to see your review !!
Thanks, Emer! I just got approval today on my 2022 Ireland program proposal :) of course it's all contingent on whether groups can travel internationally next summer, but the first step is green lighted! =D
I like the True Match line products and I am going to look for this foundation!! I do live in a humid climate and mask most of my day so this will hopefully work for me too!!!
I got this today after watching your review and I love it! I bought it in Light by mistake, which is also too dark for me (in Feb) so have ordered very light. Your reviews are the best! I have really come to trust your opinion. Thank you.
I love the way you talk. I'm italian, this serum is now just arrived here and already sold out, so I was looking for an english review and found you. I understood all you told, and it'a big score for me 🤣
This looks so beautiful on you! I decided against trying it because the lightest shade still looked too dark for me but maybe I'll have to give it a shot after all. Thanks for the review!❤
This is great, I have been using neutrogena glow primer+serum and it would be wonderful if it had a tint like this with the hyaluronic acid so thank you so much for sharing! Some days you just want skin like finishes, just wonderful! Love how it wears off, not gunky.
Let me know what you think if you try it, Angela! I wore it the day after I filmed this too (also teaching in a mask, that time without setting it with powder) and it still held up fantastically.
Happy to hear that your first day back and live was a good one! Also happy that this product worked so well for you! YAY!!! Have a great weekend! 💚and see you over on IG!
Ummm...can we just talk about how beautiful your entire face is? Looks like I’m heading out to grab this foundation now...and also the eye shadow...and mascara...
I absolutely love it too. In fact, Ulta has my review on the top as the most helpful review. It did make your skin look soft and natural. Love your hair cut and you look cute and uplifted with the new style.
Hi Shelley high amounts of HA in skincare dry me out (rebound dryness) despite all the layers, an occlusive moisturiser and spf. You know the multiple weights and cross polymers etc they all seem to want to use nowadays. However this might be worth a try, as it will be over all that and probably primer. Scotland is not an arid place lol as it's fairly wet year round, but for much of the year we have central heating and that might be an issue. We have had (surprisingly) a hot/humid Summer this year, so this would have probably been good for that. What attracts me is the fact it held up under a mask - so few products do tbh. For the last few months i've been wearing the Lancome teint idole in 008/091 (great shade match for my palest of the pale Scottish skin), as it doesn't transfer as much onto masks etc. I have to moisturise well and use a hydrating primer for it to look it's best on my dry skin, but no powder needed and minimal transfer. This might be a more hydrating option - depending on how light the lightest shade actually is. It looked really good on you. It made me laugh re the shouting in the mask. I'm being investigated for Menieres and my hearing in the right ear can feel dulled during a bout. Masks have made things worse for those with any issues. Living in Scotland there can be a lot of variation in accent, depending on where people are from (Ireland is similar). This can impact how the mask distorts sound I find. I don't need people to shout lol - just to speak fairly clearly. Best wishes.
This one does have denatured alcohol pretty high in the ingredients but I've worn it for 2 full work days and so far it's not drying on me (and the second day, it held up equally well under the mask without setting powder). I wish somebody would've come up with an acceptable clear mask, as I've realized how much I rely on seeing people's mouths in "hearing" them. I think all of my concert-going has dulled my hearing a bit (my dad always said I'd be deaf by 30 if I didn't turn the music down....)
@@goow Lol I'm not saying the heavy rock music gigs and festivals didn't play a part either, but the masks do muffle the sounds. I think I also rely on facial expressions, as part of communication more than I ever thought. All in all the masks can make it more difficult, but here they're not going anywhere for the next several months at least. I'm glad it held up well and will try it when it gets to the UK. x

Good question. I bought the WnW after watching Shelli's review.
I'd say I love them equally and the WnW has a tiny bit more coverage so I'd make my decision between them based on how much coverage I wanted :)
Also the WnW in Fair is a better skin tone match for me, though I can get away with the L'Oreal.
Have you tried the Laura Geller baked & brightening foundations? It’s my new fave! They are powder form which makes application so easy.
I came back and watched this video after I purchased the product. I love it!! I'm glad you feel the same❤️
Looks really nice, gives a nice healthy glow to your skin. I'm going to have to try it.
Which do you like better, this or the wet n wild tinted hydrator?
Subscribed! As another 40-something woman, I can relate to you and love your sense of humor! Thank you for teaching ❤️
Omg the short hair cut in the thumbnail looks soooooo much better on you!
looks good Shelly, I bought it about a week ago and love it on my 56 year old skin, especially for work, I work in a hospital and so happy this is available in my country, because Lóreal not always is in the Netherlands. I know I like it, but still wanted to see your review !!
I'm glad we both like it!! =D I hope you're staying well over there, Gina!
Hi 👋🏼
I would love to see you review the Valentino very Valentino foundation 🙏🏼😘
Oh Shelly that foundation looks fantabulous. Not surprised it was an A. Cannot wait for it to come out in Ireland. Lookin' good girl.
Thanks, Emer! I just got approval today on my 2022 Ireland program proposal :) of course it's all contingent on whether groups can travel internationally next summer, but the first step is green lighted! =D
@@goow Yasssss!
I like the True Match line products and I am going to look for this foundation!! I do live in a humid climate and mask most of my day so this will hopefully work for me too!!!
So glad to see this! Love how quickly it applied. I wanna try this one.
I got this today after watching your review and I love it! I bought it in Light by mistake, which is also too dark for me (in Feb) so have ordered very light. Your reviews are the best! I have really come to trust your opinion. Thank you.
Looks so pretty on you. Love all the makeup on you.
I bought this on Amazon for $5 less than Ulta.
It looks so good on you!
Thanks, Krystal! I wore it yesterday too and same excellent performance. Wheeee happy!
I'm a teacher too and have to wear a mask all day. Excited to try this product in the future! Thanks for testing it out.
Let me know what you think if you try it, Angela! I wore it the day after I filmed this too (also teaching in a mask, that time without setting it with powder) and it still held up fantastically.
What do you teach? Love this foundation!!
I was waiting for your review before I purchased!! Thank you! I’m giving it a try!
Let me know how you like it, Lindsey!
I bought this last week. I really like. I just don’t know if wears for a full day for me yet
Wow. I was not expecting it to do so well! Great video.
Thank you you help us alot
Happy to hear that your first day back and live was a good one! Also happy that this product worked so well for you! YAY!!! Have a great weekend! 💚and see you over on IG!
Thank you for this vid.
I hope you can also make a review of the Physicians Formula Butter Believe liquid foundation
Thank you💖
Hi Shelley, you look gorgeous with this. I'm sold! I'm getting it 🙂
Happy New Year 🥂🎉
I ordered this one....i need to pick up the W&W tinted moisturizer!
The WnW is amazing too!! I now have the 2 lightest shades of the L'Oreal and mix them. It's an excellent performer under masks too.
Ooo, will have to try this one! Thanks!
I think 0.5-2 very light would be a better match for you. Thanks for the review
I finally was able to find 0.5-2! =D
Ummm...can we just talk about how beautiful your entire face is? Looks like I’m heading out to grab this foundation now...and also the eye shadow...and mascara...
💜 thanks, Kristen!
I'm glad it held up well and will try it when it gets to the UK. x
Thankyou. It wore beautiful on you. Hope you had a good first day back 🤍
It’s beautiful. Thanks so much
I just tried this and i absolutely LOVE it!!!!
Woohooo!!! I've worn it several times now and it's fantastic for work and under masks!
I does look so pretty 😁I just bought it my self and love it
I just ordered this in the lightest shade online at Target for $14.99 today! Can't wait to try it out ♡
Let me know how you like it, Mandi!
Just got it . Looks great . Thank u
