I was at this gig!! This is amazing to see, nearly 28 years later. I remember it really vividly - it was a lovely atmosphere, a really intimate gig in a tent, in fact the last gig of the Glastonbury weekend I think. I remember being next to a man who kept shouting "Go for it Al!" then turning to me and repeating "He's a songsmith!" It was an utterly memorable and mesmerising experience. Brilliant. Thank you so much for uploading xx

I was there too! I must have been standing about 10ft behind the camera from memory.

I have always loved Al Stewarts songs what a great story teller. Thank You for sharing this concert on You Tube. I have seen Al only once and that was in 1993 Houston TX at Rockefeller's a small hall. Great intimate setting and had the number one table in front left of the stage, close enough to almost shake Al's hand. He had Peter White with him then. loved the show! one point he asked the audience what song he should play for his encore and I yelled Roads to Moscow, and lucky there were a number of others asking for it also. Thank You Al because that song was my first introduction to your music!

Whether they are played with a full band or just a guitar, Al's songs always sound warm and beautiful. I think Al is my favourite artist. He always has been.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I think I will take a few of these tracks and cut them into individual videos in the new year - Los Angeles Sunset, Modern Times and Roads to Moscow are the prime candidates for this.
