Al Stewart is my favorite folkie! To this day, I can't believe he played Ovation guitars (vs. Gibson, Guild, etc.).

"Antarctica" is a classic, such a clever metaphor. One of Al's finest songs. Lovely additional notes contributed by Peter, making it musically even richer.

Beautiful interview! So good to hear Al and Peter together. Al is absolutely adorable, but, as I told him 3 years later, when I met him, sometimes he speaks too fast for me! Lol. Thanks for sharing David!

Great interview, thanks for the upload! Nice to hear him mention Canadian authors, as a Canadian. Is there any book the man hasn't read? (Also nice Bruce Cockburn shout-out)

@@TheAlStewartArchives Video! Yes uploadd will be on this YT channel. oh I also did a 45 minute interview with Al way back in 1983 it's on an audio cassette so that will be quite a while to find and figure out how to play it. I have no memory of what I asked him.

Yes, I agree. "I'm an iconoclast." "You're a troublemaker!" "Yes, that's what the word means." Wow.
