FINALLY!! Someone who has a technique that most of us women can actually do! It seems like literally every other video out there showing photographers how to fold down a reflector are done by men, most of whom are as tall or taller than the reflector and have a lot more upper body strength than many of us women. I probably watched 25 videos before I finally googled a video with a woman doing it and found yours. THANK YOU!!
EXACTLY THIS. All the men have taller midsections and a wider wingspan. This is the ONLY video that shows a process that WORKS for women (esp short ones like me).

I agree, this is the best video. I ended up bending my frame trying to do other videos. I'm a tall strong guy, but it isn't about strength, it is about doing the twist just like Gabrielle explains and shows.
I watch like 3 or 4 other videos before I came to yours. Then FINALLY I ran into this video who not only can show but TEACH a technic which not only super fast but I can imagine pretty much anybody can understand. I tried it for like 10 min before I ran across your video. After watching yours, I got it right the first time at the fist watch 😂. And then I did it 2 more times to make sure I got it. Took me about a min to do all 3 times correctly and have comfortable enough to say I know now to put up my green screen up lol. I bought an entire lighting setup from a dear friend, who tossed in the pop up black and blue background, along with the other goodies I bought. I decided to see what this thing was all about, and rued the day when I unzipped the case, removed the coiled monster, and allow it to pop open!! I have had a 5x7 backdrop sitting open in my garage for over 6 months (brought it home from a client site, all mangled in the back of my suv because I was so embarrassed trying to fold it in front of him). Every now and then, I'd try to fold it and give up. I just watched three other videos and couldn't do any of them. I have RA and my wrists only fold and bend but so much. Someone posted in the comments about your video. I just tried and scored on the first attempt! Tried three times, opening and closing. Thank you so much! The real "key" was talking about how the section in your hands was the middle section. Perfect!

Definitely the best. We watched one that was not helpful when we first got ours out of its bag. I figured "look for a woman explaining it" and I got this method right on the first try. Also like how she shows you the issue with twisting you can get when you do it wrong, that freaked me out the first time ours did that, but she set my mind at ease that it's going to be OK.

This video is kind of magic, by the way. I tried earlier to foid mine up today, and I thought I remembered. And I swear I did it the same way. But only after having this video on and sort of doing it at the same time, was I able to get the thing to fold. A piece of it happening is a kind of relaxing, you cant try too hard, you have to kind of let it fall into the shape in part. Its a dance. with subtle choreography. One of these days I'll get all the moves down and not need to watch the video in order to achieve it. Thank you again, Gabrielle, for putting this up. Just please don't take it down!
