As a former Delorean Owner , the "start up you piece of shit." is a real life experience. Deloreans have had all kinds of maintenance issues. Mine was constantly in the shop and drained my bank account. Starting problems, droopy door problems, AC problems, overheating /thermostat problems. electrical problems, window motor problems. You name it. But when I all worked, it was fantastic!!
Yeah the people who designed the delorean had no prior knowledge to how to make a car so there were tons of issues plus if you crashed, it just got shredded
I own a delorean, and I can say that the attention to detail is very nice. Even the original craig stereo is correct as well as the AC panel and binnacle, nice
My dad bought one in 2005, father/son hobby. Drove it to high school on many occasions. Blake is right, the detail is spot on, down to the stitching in the seats, binnacle/ instrument cluster are spot on and the bttf 3 even has a warped fascia, like most end up. We ended up selling it two years ago. believe this is the Delorean from Forza Motorsport? With the Time machine parts from the Vice city mod. (I work on the vice city mod, Bttf: Hill Valley. I recently redid the textures on the Delorean body for it, I used real life images/ one of our team members still has one, so I used images of his interior for it.) Aside from formerly owning one, I've had to stare at references for hours on end. It's hard to beat the Forza mesh though. The Forza models were actually scanned in a booth. They borrowed a real life delorean, etc and used a special camera and tape of I recall. So the detail is as accurate as you are going to get! There's a dev video about how they did this in Forza somewhere.
He also never actually set a new destination time, so he was always just arriving at the exact same time he left. The consequences could be disastrous!

@@JamesWDantonio Apologies for the late reply. All mods are only possible on PC as OpenIV, the open source software that is used to mod the game, is only compatible with the PC version.
In the novelization, the Delorean has a hidden switch which re-engages the engine. Doc Brown uses it when Marty came back from 1955 and the Libyans got trapped when they hit the 24hr photo booth.
Fun Fact: DeLoreans do like to complain when starting, but nothing a new starter won't fix! Plus banging your head on the steering wheel won't honk the horn.. its on the turn signal stalk! LOL -VIN4693

There's also a boost in hover mode if you hold (A) button on a gamepad. And if you hold (X) button you can change the altitude by right and left triggers.
Man this mod has come a far way since the last time I checked it out. The fact that the time circuits and digital speedometer on the interior of the car update in sync with the overlay is astounding. The different sounds and effects depending on which version of the car you have is great. Being able to drive on the train tracks, like, ON the tracks, not just driving along them, is phenomenal. All the details and animations and just every little thing about this is fantastic. If they could just somehow make it so time traveling actually changed the appearance of the world (which is probably infeasible with the amount of resources it would require) this would be the quintessential back to the Future open world game. I've been playing exclusively online for quite some time but seeing this video makes me want to download the mod and go single player. Great video, very well made and showed off just about all I could ask for
BTTF V tips When you ride the DeLorean to 88MPH on the railroad tracks and go to the future or past and when you get out of the car or stay in the car a train comes in front of you or in the back, Press SPACE when in hover mode and you can get a boost, If you're getting chased by cops and travel through time, when you go to the dedicated year or month (day) a cop car comes behind you chasing another car, since you where being chased in the departure date.
Glad I stumbled onto this video. I've been looking for a mod for this since GTAV came out, almost every GTA gets a mod like this. No Time Train? Missed Opportunities.
I'm glad they made changes to the mod, including map changes for each of the time points, the adding in of a train that works just like in the movie, and when you can time travel a few minutes back, and watch yourself come in from the "past," where your character does the same thing you just did. Even a cave you can hide the DeLorean in! Major props to the development team!
Ohmygosh! That’s so clever!! At 8:30 the DeLoreans on the runway are the ones you left there in 2014, so when you arrive to the future in 2015 no one had touched them
i also just remembered: you wondered why a train spawned on the tracks and hit the car head on (and then passed through another train going the scripted path), because that's what happened to the DeLorean at the end of BTTF III and destroyed it. try it again and see what happens.
Thank you for sharing this with us. No clue how I ended up here, not a fan of the movie especially not a fan of the car but can't help it and appreciate this mod quality and details. This is how content should be made and go on from here. Sure there are some weird things going on but might be something conflicting with the mod or it's still a wip. Either way the cars details are amazing.

I'm a fan of BTTF and the car, but am glad, people that don't even necessarily follow this - appreciate this - I was actually blown away when using this mod. I wish GTA V was in a stable spot with mods because I would probably just boot this one up to play with it like a kid.
yeah, it would also be cool, in the spirit of BTTF III, if you have Red Dead Redemption 2 on your pc, to have the DeLorean jump from GTA V, to RDR2! and these model makers for this series of cars was just amazing, they really nailed the look and feel of the cars with exacting detail.
Someone on RUclips did a video similar to that. It was a GTA V zombie apocalypse mod and they went to the humane labs and got into a time machine that took the to RDR2(edited I'm sure). I don't think it was a delorean, but still pretty similar.
It will happen. Kids in the future would have such amazing technology that those games can be combined. I hope someone makes a game like that in my life

The beautiful thing about this mod is that it gets every little detail in there. Heck, the front suspension is raised more than the back suspension on the 3rd movie version, just like the movie.
The plutonium chamber lighting up is a thing in BTTF, it just wasn't used in the movie, but it was in the car. it can be seen in the trailer of it actually.
As a fellow BTTF fan, once I saw this video my reaction was “ well younger self they finally gave us a way to live out time traveling fantasy “ (there were some small things I noticed that were off like the flux capacitor noise and didn’t recall seeing alarm clock from 1955) again these are small things that are just observations but otherwise it’s a very well made mod by people or person who loves the franchise dearly. It’s a shame not many people I’ve met when I am cosplaying as Marty know who it is. That’s ok though us fans are all that matters!!
One the best parts of this mod is the remote control, if you remote drive it, travel 1 minute into the future, and wait 1 minute in game time, the time machine appears!
Only because the level of detail is so fatastically high i'm gonna say this, not to be pedantic. This is an amazing mod, massive fan of the films! :D The miniscule details that are off is the speedometer and the odd interior set piece for each model. All of them have the original DeLorean speedo which only showed a max of 80mph which is perfect for the DMC 12 model but not in Doc's Delorean. They had to modify the speedometer in the films so it went up to 95MPH for it to make sense. And the little touches like the wind up clock in BFF1 on the dash, the compass in BFF2 and the boiler temperature gage in BFF3.
I love this mod. Even though the only games I have by Rockstar are the Red Dead series, this really makes me want to get GTA 5 just to check out this mod. I love the BTTF trilogy and this is basically a dream come true. Besides that stand alone game on steam called "No Time" that game was also pretty good.
I’m a Huge back to the Future Fan probably my favourite movies of all time this mod is amazing the attention to detail wasn’t lazy at all to the delorean not travelling back in time if it doesn’t have plutonium or Mr Fusion is insane thinking the flying delorean every single detail every time it was used on screen I even forgot about the cold delorean in the first scene the remote control scene too like the car alone is insane adding everything else is like a back to the future game was made it’s honestly incredible in every single way it’s like they grabbed the cars from the movies and put them in GTA the sounds are perfect imported from the movie the inside first person view is asif you are Marty from the movies this is perfect

You can fly into a thunderstorm and the car does randomly time travel if the circuits are on!! Then upon re entry it says the time circuits chip is damaged! So much detail to this mod its incredible
Another fun detail is flying the delorean in a lightning storm you can get hit by lightning, time travel, and crash land and the time circuit display wont have a full display and if you try turning the time circuits on or off a display will say they are damaged. I was surprised when I saw they put that in there.
Time Travel Guidelines 1. Wear clothes from time period. 2. Find underground hide out. 3. Only watch history. 4. Spend 1 minute in past. 5. If history is changed travel back and change timeline back to it's original timeline.
My god. They even got the underbody of the car for the standard DeLorean! Frame and all! From driving mine all summer I can indeed confirm they are a bit "boaty", but some euro-spec springs should fix that! -VIN4693
as a back to the future fan as a delorean fan, i know just about every little detail that the time machine has, and i can tell you i am beyond surprised with all the models of the deloreans, the stock one is really clean, and the time machines are done to some crazy extent of detail considering it is made in GTAV, only thing i can do is congratulate the team that made such an epic mod. clap clap clap

Yup 100% forgot when I recorded this about the end of 3, where the train destroys the DeLorean. This mod really did nail everything.

I love the BTTF trilogy and this is basically a dream come true. Besides that stand alone game on steam called "No Time" that game was also pretty good.

I’m a Huge back to the Future Fan probably my favourite movies of all time this mod is amazing the attention to detail wasn’t lazy at all to the delorean not travelling back in time if it doesn’t have plutonium or Mr Fusion is insane thinking the flying delorean every single detail every time it was used on screen I even forgot about the cold delorean in the first scene the remote control scene too like the car alone is insane adding everything else is like a back to the future game was made it’s honestly incredible in every single way it’s like they grabbed the cars from the movies and put them in GTA the sounds are perfect imported from the movie the inside first person view is asif you are Marty from the movies this is perfect
I was hoping you would drive the DeLorean straight at Michael and make it disappear just before it hits him like in the movie! That would be awesome!

The details made me smile ear to ear. The hover conversion is soooo good. Does it just hover above the ground or can it change altitiude? Also, do these guys mod other movie vehicles? cough cough Mad Max Interceptor
It can change altitude and this is the only mod they have made

You can fly into a thunderstorm and the car does randomly time travel if the circuits are on!! Then upon re entry it says the time circuits chip is damaged! So much detail to this mod its incredible
Another fun detail is flying the delorean in a lightning storm you can get hit by lightning, time travel, and crash land and the time circuit display wont have a full display and if you try turning the time circuits on or off a display will say they are damaged. I was surprised when I saw they put that in there.

Time Travel Guidelines
1. Wear clothes from time period.
2. Find underground hide out.
3. Only watch history.
4. Spend 1 minute in past.
5. If history is changed travel back and change timeline back to it's original timeline.
My god. They even got the underbody of the car for the standard DeLorean! Frame and all! From driving mine all summer I can indeed confirm they are a bit "boaty", but some euro-spec springs should fix that! -VIN4693

as a back to the future fan as a delorean fan, i know just about every little detail that the time machine has, and i can tell you i am beyond surprised with all the models of the deloreans, the stock one is really clean, and the time machines are done to some crazy extent of detail considering it is made in GTAV, only thing i can do is congratulate the team that made such an epic mod. clap clap clap
