good video keep it up Ive never used a pull cord fan isolater nice to know could get me out of trouble if the loft is boarded and limited access, you got lucky not having to core the wall
Have you fitted these with solid ducting as opposed to flexi? Is there more of a vibration through solid ducts? I heard these can can cause vibrations and noise if you don't fit rubber feets etc have you hung any fans to rafters instead of the floor /joists?
Does anyone know if you can get an inline fan to go in the loft that has a humidistat? I assume the humidity sensor would need to be integrated into the internal grill in the bathroom rather than into the fan unit itself.
Hi Stephen, thanks for your question! By keeping the duct as short as possible in the loft will help reduce this common problem but also by adding a layer of insulation over the duct will also help this. In this particular video the building contractor I was subbing for had to core out the hole for the vent out and also provide some form of insulation to prevent moisture build up from the cold air in the loft. I try to avoid touching the stuff where possible! Jensen.
@@nadznadz5630 The ducting used is expanding concertina design. Warm moist air vapour will cool as it goes along duct in cold loft and turn into water which collect in internal grooves. Look what happens to a bathroom window in the winter, it gets covered in condensation which turns to water and runs down the glass. The water will drip out of ducting from at ceiling where ducting goes to fan. Condensation will collect in duct from fan to outside. Correct ducting for warm air going through a cold loft is insulated ducting. Insulated ducting cost five times as much as concertina pipe so only professional fan installers use it. This is my job, I know what I'm talking about.
Excellent video and good to see the complete job with all that it entails. The music is calming too. Happy to subscribe 👍

Why did you not bump a hole through the wall, to complete the job.
All very neatly done btw
Another good enjoyable and informative video, glad I found your channel and look forward to your new content

Good post, just need a close up of the wiring please...
An explanation of how the wiring is all connected would be helpful, and a better camera, you video'd the floor for 5 mins lol

How are you going to stop condensation forming in flexible pipe from warm moist air in bathroom flowing through a cold loft?

Jensen.
If the duct is on a decline going outside the wall then it will be fine. Only an issue when venting through roof

Hello how much would you or someone charge me for this job?
You should have avoided putting in the 90 degree turn
