I freaking love these surprise videos! Sundays are my favorite day and a large part of that is because I look forward so much to watching your videos while sipping my coffee early in the morning, so when I get home from work and see that you posted a surprise one, it makes my whole week. Thank you for always sharing these videos with us, and thank you to both of your families for allowing us to see little bits of their lives as well. I always really enjoy the videos with your families in them.
I'm Vietnamese-Canadian (first generation immigrant) and my partner is Canadian. When we started dating, I instinctively used scissors to cut meat, pizza.. pretty much everything and they were soooo intrigued and thought it was strange. Now I'm showing them more cuisines where it is so normal, such as Korean cuisine, and they see how much easier it is!
Kudos to Sarah’s mom for trying all of the Korean food. I grew up in Louisiana, so Cajun cooking (but not a Cajun myself) and my mother’s relishes and chili gave me an early appreciation of spicy food. Lucky, lucky me! 🌶
I always love these international cooking videos (both the Korean food in Canada and the Canadian food in Korea) as well as, well, all of your videos. (Also, I tend to buy the stuff you recommend - I have two pairs of Vessis and I bought my family Surfshark for the family Christmas present this past holiday. 😆🤘 )
I love your Canadian Xmas videos (especially when watching them in the beginning of Spring lol)…doesn’t feel like this was 3mos ago 😱! I didn’t taste a bite of your dish, but I could tell Kyuho created a total “Chef’s Kiss” of a meal! Btw, I love how Canadians use the word POP, for soda. When I was in the Army, the guys from the Midwest would call it that, and it always tickled me lol! Great video - Great job Chef 🧑🏼🍳
It feels like it was both a short time ago, and a really long time ago since we were there-it’s weird 😅 And YES, we’ve always used pop, at least where I grew up in eastern Canada.
Everything feels like forever when u talk about chicken in the water! 🤣 Side note, you guys always go to that side dish shop and it looks so tasty. I tried searching on Google but it's hard lol Any tips on how to find such shops? Just moved to Hongdae and I don't know what I'm doing but I know I need good banchan stat! 😅
Hahah, I don’t blame them-those chicken burgers are bomb. Oh, as for the side dish places, we just order ours from Coupang Eats and they deliver it to our place :) I believe through the Coupang Eats app you can see the Korean food and side dish options in your area that will deliver! Google maps is useless in Korea, so I’d recommend downloading ‘Kakao Map’ instead :)
Your food always sounds and looks good, but i dont know if i could handle really spicy foods either. It would be fun to try it,though! Hope you will be able to visit your canadian family easily, this summer. Thanks for another lovely video.
Awesome video! I don't blame your mom for sniffing and needing to drink milk, I suck at spicy foods and a good amount of Korean dishes make me need tissues and milk 😅😂
IDK where in Canada you/they are, but judging by someone saying "pop" instead of "soda" I'm going to assume Ontario.. and if so, there is a HUGE Asian market on Niagara Falls Blvd in Tonawanda, NY, probably about 30 mins-1 hr from Niagara Falls, Ont.
I'd be your Mom!😂 I can't enjoy eating something that make's my nose run or my lip's fall off!!😆🤣 What about the yummy hummus bowl!? I love that so much!! But, I cheat & buy my favorite hummus from my favorite deli.🤣 I tried! Mine tasted like kindergarten paste!!😁😆😉 Kiss Beemo for me!! TFS!! Love, light & blessings❤ p.s. Make the hummus bowl this summer when Y'all go visit again!!😁🍲🍲🍲🤤
Wait a minute! Are you guys in Canada right now? What is the recipe for the sauce? Yummy looks delicious! Love your cooking:p oh okay was a old video:) why the grown brother of Sarah still live with the parents, would have been more food for the you guys lol
I think if the food is good then you can handle a certain level of spiciness that goes with it. But if the spiciness overshadows the food then it becomes more pain than pleasure.
9:38 Shouldn't there be text on screen what ingredients were being mixed in? That would have been a great teaching moment. (In the spirit of today's sponsor - Skillshare).
We’re saving that for an actual walkthrough recipe video :) This video we focused more on the visual aspect of the food and family interaction. Skillshare did help us a TON with color grading classes we’ve taken, because the lighting in that kitchen at night is notttt great, and our footage needed a lot of work in post production 😬
unrelated to cooking but is it possible to get some of the stray cats neutered in your area? maybe we can do a fundraiser for that? just so they dont keep having kittens! i was thinking of long-term solutions for feral cats. even with people feeding them and providing shelters its not the best environment to live in (disease, cars, some people try to hurt them if they're seen as pests, if their food source diminishes they will starve..)
Hey! Thanks so much for asking, but they are ALL spayed and neutered 😄 Our district in Seoul has a great TNR program, and we’ve personally called them and got 6 of our cats TNR’d. That’s why if you look closely, all of their left ears are clipped at the top-to show that they’ve been trapped, neutered, and released. Our cats’ ages range from around 3-12 years old. There are a lot of people in this neighborhood who have been caring for cats for years, which is really fortunate. These cats have been living outside their whole lives, and would likely not adjust well to suddenly being indoor cats in small, Seoul apartments. We do have a RUclips membership option, and all those funds go toward the monthly costs of dry food, canned food, and emergency meds for our cats 🐈
Kyuho, where did you learn to cook all those amazing dishes? From your mom, or when you were single and just experimented on your own. Sarah is always making those yummy baked goods. If I lived by you guys, I'll be that annoying neighbor or friend inviting myself over to your place to eat all the time. 😄🥢🍽🍴
I love how open they are to trying other cuisines, also so appreciative.
They’re so awesome and are always so excited and eager when Kyuho cooks 🥺
I like that we can still be transported back to Christmas time in March through these videos 😄
Sarah's mom was really powering through the spice hahahaha
She’s a trooper 🥛
Everyone's reaction to the food is so pure and cute 🤣❤️

Using food scissors is definitely so much more convenient! ✂️
Your mom is a trooper. She really seems like she's suffering from the spicy pork. Love your family.
She loves spicy food in general, but can’t tolerate it very well 🥲🌶
We need a recipe!!!! Please. Looks amazing.
I love Korean food.

Kyuho's Canadian kitchen! ㅋㅋㅋ what a nice surprise on a Friday night ❤
Oh my gawd, I love that name!
I have a bro in law who cooks well too. Makes for great family gatherings!
Thanks for another fun video! Sara, your family is so sweet! The food looks delicious! And at the end I'm wondering what was in the Kinder egg! 😁

We call it pop because it pops in your mouth :D

Love sesame seed oil and kimchi too!!!! But I also don't like too hot!!!😊✌🏻
The sesame oil is an absolute must!

Mmmm😋😍looks delicious and judging by the whole families reaction, they confirmed it.

I’m like Sarah’s mom…I can’t eat spicy food very well but Korean food is so good, you just keep eating anyway. 🤪
Coming from a Caribbean upbringing I’m always genuinely shocked when people can’t handle spicy food. Glad they enjoyed the food despite the heat
Caribbean food is the best 🔥❤️
Growing up in east coast Canada, I very rarely ate spicy stuff.
Would love to try Caribbean food!
I think your family would love bulgogi! It's sweet and not spicy right haha
We couldn’t find the proper cut of beef to make it 🥲
@@2hearts1seoul Awwww
Another Friday surprise ❤
Huhu. Was Sarah's mom okay? I could not help but remember that time when I powered through the spice on my second spicy ramen challenge. Twas tough!
It always amazes me how you guys eat so little. that's like for 2 people! 😂
Damn, that was more than enough for the 5 of us 😂
I have to stop watching mukbang videos. My concept of serving sizes are getting affected 😂

Kyuho, when cooking Korean food is there way to make it less spicy? That way other people can it more spicy themself.
You can add less red pepper paste than the recipes call for, but the final result will definitely be a little bland.
Korean food = spicy in general. Glad your mom could at least eat it with the milk! Looked tasty

The thumbnial look as if you are plotting an evil plan against your family-in-law.
He kind of was 😂🔥 But nah, not really. They all requested a red pepper paste based dish.
Is Kyuho wearing his pajamas?
He’s wearing his flannel pajama pants that Kevin gave him for Christmas 🎄

Your family clearly doesn’t like the camera. So awkward.
Camera shy. Is that a big deal?
Isn’t pretty much anyone a bit awkward in front of the camera if they don’t do it often? 😅
@@ironmaniscoolshit1395 Not a bid deal. Kinda feel bad for them actually.
