What's Mike Sigel play is like watching f****** paint dry. As good as he was, just get up and f****** play man. He'd rather shake his head and act like every shot is the hardest shot he's ever been faced with. He was certainly one of the greatest, but no one is harder to watch playing the game then Mike Siegel. That's why people love Efren because of his humility
Mike Sigel is one of the few pros I just dont personally care to watch. To much rattling on, to much up and down on easy shots. And his stance and stroke is just funny looking.
You're telling me. I would never have taken up the game growing up watching him. A lot of it is for show......not a very nice person.....full of himself.
He's a prick, all the head shaking on straight in shots, he got every roll for 25 years, shits the 9 in first game of this match and look what that led to, blowout, Sigel still thinks he's the greatest to ever play, not even in top 5, Efren ruined him
Yeah I used to feel the exact same way as you but now I feel differently I've grown to respect his game because he is an absolute terror on the 9 ball table
@@Salesman It did make sense from the perspective that there was pool on TV back in the era. Who'd argue with producers? Come to think of it, pool players…
@@LeonFleisherFan I never said it doesn't make sense from a TV standpoint. Everyone knew this was done because the TV execs wanted to compact it to make sure they get in as much as possible, as if these matches were not post edited. It makes no sense from the perspective of a viewer. If the semi finals were first to 13, why were the finals first to nine games? Makes no sense, but what can you do?
It's interesting that Mike was Efren's idol or fave cueist. I imagine because he was the most notable to him growing up, being a 50s kid. If he had seen Bugs Rucker or Irving Crane or any of the others with some intricate and daring shots, wonder who he'd select . . . besides himself, lol
Mike also had an impossibly straight stroke (admittedly more impressive live than on video), which in his prime made him one of the greatest shotmakers under pressure. And he may have had the greatest record ever once he reached the final of a tournament. I don't think Efren admired Mike's creativity, but his record winning tournament and coming with the shot under pressure.
Kim was one of the quietest players ever! Never heard him say more than 2 sentences, how can he annoying! I enjoyed watching him because of his perfect fundamentals! Mr. Steady head...
After a few days we need Kim and Mike reacting on this.
16:43 good lord, Buddy, are you seriously winded from calling a freaking pool match!?!
Cigarettes, booze and overweight. Yes.
I haven't watched it yet I'm starting to now once I saw who the commentators are I got even more excited
Great old time commentary..

Mike never met a shot he didn’t dislike.
Barely made it through a rack and before I clicked the video I said yo myself let’s see how long I can take this guy lmao
Dude, I made it to Mike's second SHOT.....said nope. Not today. Zero humility lmao.
Haha he couldn't even get past the 3rd shot without doing it. Not surprised.
Best tables I've ever played on ! The black gold crowns at the Bicycle club! I'll bet Ernesto set them up..♥️🙏🇺🇸
It amazes me how language of 31 years ago hasn't changed a bit. These commentators sound like it's a 2023 match.
Thank you for not interviewing Mike the Mouth.

Prettiest model of pool table ever made!!!
Yeah I will say this about Billy statement Mike definitely definitely knew how to get the money he was a closer of the highest order
13:32 so in this tournament, the semi finals were a race to 13 and the finals were a race to 9? Why was this?
TV executives wanted some input and that was it. Made no sense but what can you do?

Mike wanted a foul on the six I guess. Sleeve touch.

Pool will never be a legitimate sporting event until it’s alternate break. It’s sad that 30 years later they still haven’t learned.
What guys name is Kim?
Why aren't you guys putting out 2023 DCC videos?
Because they still need some work on our end before they are ready to put out.
@@AccuStats Can't wait for the big foot challenge!
good lord with the popping up and coming back down.... smh
When the tournament go for the shot clock,Sigl lost every game.
I’ve never seen a match Mike played with a shot clock.
Wish Kim had gave Mike a short clothesline when they shook hands, Pos
Two of the most annoying players in the history of pocket billiards.
Mike I understand, but why is Kim Davenport annoying?
I’ve never heard anyone complain about Kim before. I am intrigued.
