Africans are just good at copying everything they see. They don't consider the reasons behind why some cultures do what they do. Africa is the only continent where its culture is not exported but all other cultures are imported in Africa.
Attributing tattoos to bad in Africa is not entirely wrong, just like linking weed to bad. Patterns prove that those who indulge in certain things end up a certain way...that's not absolute, but there's always a pattern, and history proves it through our forefathers who didn't use modern research methodologies but could tell from observation.

@@mandufagbemi2131 Definitely! I live in the US, too, and I know about that. So, I think we're saying the same thing. I'm here not to celebrate this episode but rather to debunk the notion that what Africans think of tattoos is not entirely false. It's essentially not. You can't just copy cultures from elsewhere and think they should be accepted. Tribal marks in Ethiopia won't be accepted by the West for any reason, but the tribes that wear them in Ethiopia have their reasons for doing so.
This episode would make more sense if he ended by clarifying these surrounding thoughts. But I guess the purpose of this skit was to say people with tattoos are not bad...which I think a skit is not enough to pass that message because there are so many nuances and different areas to address to effectively clear it up.
