That response alone tells me all i need to know about BLM an the need to bring awareness to racism that still exsists in this great sport. There is unfortunately still a lot of morons in this sport still crying just because players take a knee before kick off.
Great interview an thanks for your brilliance on the field Leon especially for my beloved Saints.

Brilliant episode. Leon is such a nice guy and very passionate about the game and fully deserves a better opportunity back in the game. He did a great job coaching at Workington Town .

You’re not aware of his court appearances for violence then?

When Leon said it is what it is... probably sums it all up! It’s not what it should be.
I honestly can’t believe in 2020 things like this is still happening, it’s not directly happening I.E someone saying something racist to a person but indirectly and subconsciously happening. It’s absolutely mental, I’d love to see Leon as a coach eventually and definitely a Assistant in the super league for sure!
He’s been on sky for a couple of games and he’s gone above and beyond on those games. There’s commentators on recently who don’t have a good outlook on the game and call the game wrong. Getting players names wrong etc! Leon deserves every opportunity.
I wish him the best, even though he is from Bradford!

Can anyone please tell me whats changed...from a sport that has a large number of its heros who are black, that welcomed people of colour from all around the world (Fijians etc in the 50s), was the first to have a Black captain of our national side without thinking twice, to supposedly a sport that is systemically racist all of a sudden...I dont get it...Yes Leon broke my heart then, and he should have more air time on Sky and the opportunity to Coach at whatever level that his talent will allow as he comes across as eloquent and intelligent so who specifically or what specifically is stopping this from happening and why is it only now coming to light...why when we as a game pride ourselves on our inclusivity are being told that we are now suddenly racist. ....

@@paulkyffinPaul I dont think we are too far apart on this as I completely agree that in society as a whole we have racist elements and as you say we have come on in leaps and bounds as a society and sport regarding eradicating racism especially on the terraces, however thats not to say that we should rest on our laurels. However basically to say that our sport is systemically racist IMHO is wrong, as the sport has given opportunity to anyone irrespective of race creed or colour. If Leon isnt getting a shot due to the colour of his skin then Im with him 100% ..but im sure thats not done due to the colour of his skin rather than the competition he faces at the moment, however Im sure he will get that shot as more and more coaches are now from UK as opposed to being Antipodean. Regarding the fact there are now more ex Black players on as commentators on Sky Sports, welcomed as they are for there imput do you not think that given we only have 10% of players who are black or of an ethnic minority playing our game Sky are overcompensating to try and prove that they are diverse, the way things are they will run out of players to invite on. This should be done organically rather than forcing the issue...
