"Lockdown" MND charity album released to support Rob Burrow.

Album on sale today at alexsimmonstv.com with all profits donated to the MND Association supporting Rob Burrow who is currently battling the disease.
It's been a tough long year for everyone and honestly in that time I feel i've made the best of the time given producing this album, just one of many positives I can take from the past 12 months.
Just over a year ago I was with Rob at JJB's testimonial and it was the first time i'd seen him since his diagnosis. Rob at just 38 after a glittering career as one of the greatest players to ever pull on the Leeds Rhinos shirt had been diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease.
The disease had already claimed the life of my Mark Burgess father to my good friends Luke, Sam, Tom and George so I understood the battle Rob had ahead... MND is a devestating disease currently with no cure.
Rob was so positive at the game and talking to him I was inspired, he was facing adversity head on determined to tackle the disease just as he matched up to blokes twice his size on the pitch, true bravery, grit and determination.
Rob has always been so supportive of mine and JJB's Rugby AM show actually being our first guest in my shed when the program was in its embionic stage he stood up and supported a true champion and giving up his time to support me Keith and Jonesy.
I really wanted to do my bit to support him in his battle to raise awarness of a disease that affects 5000 people in the UK and thousands more around the world, Rob and his friends have raised literally millions with a huge special mention to Kev Sinfield whose 7 in 7 marathons raised an unbelivable 2.7 million pounds.
These days i'd be chugging after 2.7 miles but I am pretty handy on the decks so my support will come in a different format, its one campaign in 3 parts PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE support however you can!
