When you realize this movie truly is about a dying woman wanting to go get (presumably her last) pizza at a sentimental place to her, it becomes so much more beautiful
The director of this movie also made PIG with Nicolas Cage in the lead, which is also similar in terms of taking a simple premise and making something truly unique and beautiful out of it. In that case, it explores grief in a unique way.
To see Lupita Nyong'o in yet another great film, showcasing her talent and range, I'd really recommend watching Us. It also stars Winston Duke, who was in Black Panther with her :)

A cool fact about this film: Lupita was terrified of cats, but wanted this role and it had to be alongside "Frodo", so she had exposure therapy and has since adopted her own cat!
I read on another reaction that these aliens brought some plant from where they live to grow here. They're using human bodies to grow this plant and that's what they were eating in that one scene. They don't eat humans.
Still no idea as to why or where they're from, other than space.

8:40 no that's not how the death angels work. It's not the heartbeat that they hear it's what's the loudest they react to. Heartbeats are not loud enough. Anything that's too loud like a waterfall they'll ignore
intriguing theory about the creatures being sent as an extermination force by a more intelligent species, though I'm not sure if the official story is that the creatures are basically from a planet that blew up, with pockets of them protected inside the pieces of their once home-planet, and Earth was just unfortunate enough to be right in the crosshairs of several of these monster-bearing asteroids which ended up raining down upon various continents, and considering what has been shown of the creature's endurance (completely bullet-proof hide, unaffected by explosions, etc), they are definitely capable of surviving both the re-entry and impact of such events if you would like to see another alien attack movie, I would highly recommend Amazon Prime's original film, The Tomorrow War

Hello, if you don’t mind, can you do a movie reaction on a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise.
Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armand Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples.
Directed by Ridley Scott.

You guys definitely NEED to check out this director's (Michael Sarnoski) previous film PIG (2021) starring Nicolas Cage, which is a unique exploration of grief. His ability to make character-driven dramas is something else.
