Xavi was one of the best midfielder in the world, way before euro 2008.
He was just underrated back then.
He was under pression because Barça fans expected he became on new Guardiola playing as midfield like him

Xavi was a complete midfielder ever...he had everything a midfielder should had...especially vision and technical ability ..meanwhile iniesta had a calm dribbling ability that almost hard to find again in these days midfielders

Xavi and iniesta's game was more like simple. People should embrace simplicity not fancies.

I watched both players on their whole careers @sjurinho. I remember that Iniesta was a crack from the very beginning of his professional career in terms of skills, ball control and tecnique, he only needed to improve his body balance and physicall strenght wich he actually had around the year 2005. On the other hand, Xavi wasn't the same case, since the beginning (around 1998) he showed that he was indeed a GOOD PLAYER (good tecnique, passing, assist and intensity), but only a good player. I began to notice in his early career that Xavi played WELL if he plays on GOOD FIELDS AND PITCHES WITH GOOD GRASS (like that performance on anfield road on the year 2001 wich he assisted Overmars), if he doesn't played on such conditions his performance was on the same level by miles and the game began to have too much those disputes in the air, due to the fact that was impossible to establish a passing game because of the horrible field. Good coincidence that most football pithces, field and grass began to be on the same world class level as today on the period around 2005-2006, he had tremendous good individual seasons on 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 althought Barcelona didn't win titles and after that came EURO 2008 (probably his greatest contribution to football) wich he showed to be a dominant player and almost as Iniesta.
"dominant player almost as Iniesta" In my opinon, Xavi's best years were better then Iniestas. He could not dribble like Andres but he was a maestro of the games. Everything went through Xavi. Messi, Iniesta, Pique, Busquets, Xabi Alonso or David Silva, they all were looking to give the ball to him, play through him. He was the one dictating the pace of the games, it was up to him to tear down the defense. Tiki-Taka was litterly born and died with Xavi. 2008-2012

Well it's just that ur videos are unique and you actually pick music that matches with the videos especially the vids from 08/09 season, and no there are not many iniesta or Xavi match comps especially xavi, xavi has played many games yet there are very few match comps of him on RUclips for some reason

@@benzyluu2684 Thank you so much :) The problem these days is that it is not easy choosing music because there are simply not that much to choose from because of copyright issues. For instance, this video had two other songs but they had copyright issues so I needed to change them for something else. They are very strict. And I have no idea what kind of songs I used to use back then :P But I can definitely make some Xavi comps for you :) Just need to find the footage :)

I agree. I see a lot of comparisons to Iniesta but, imo, Pedri's style of play and abilities are a lot closer to Xavi's. I wish Koeman would play Pedri deeper, more centrally.
