Team Alpha!! But I also enjoy Gardein. I haven't tried Morning Star so I'll try based off this video.
Great taste test. I hadn't tried a few of those yet.
Right now, Morningstar Farms and Boca are top on my list. But, now I want to try Alpha.
I'm not a fan of Gardein because the texture feels battered instead of breaded - so not crispy enough.

Morning Star is like a Wendy's nugget and The Alpha Nugget is more like a thicker and better McDonald's nugget.

I’ve heard Nuggs was created and owned by a teenager. More power to them. To be honest, I hardly ever buy processed foods, so I don’t really eat nuggets. But I’m happy they are there to help people transition to a vegan lifestyle.

I like and my kids love almond milk specifically unsweetened vanilla blue diamond almonds brand the vanilla is good but too sweet for me. Also which one is better depends on what you're using the milk for like I like vanilla oatmilk in my coffee better than a flavored coconut creamer.

I'm still transitiong to being 100% vegan and I use oatly oat milk. It tastes like milk and I use oatly because it seems like they are more nutritionally comparable to real milk as far as what they add to it

For biggest morning star and gardein are my favs. I’ve had almost all of those you reviewed but the OGs are my favs!!

I just tried “Nowadays” nuggets a few weeks ago and if you guys ever get the chance to, I would 100% recommend trying them. Absolutely amazing!! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and I couldn’t believe they were vegan.
I'm glad you found joy in eating them. I thought they were terrible. I'm an omnivore, and if Nowadays was trying to replicate real chicken nuggets, they 100% failed miserably. Imagine a sponge soaked in chicken broth and covered in a mealy corn-flavored breading. THAT'S the Nowadays nugget. IMO, it's not even worth spending the money to try it. Eat Impossible nuggets instead.

I've heard of a brand of mock meats called Jack & Annie's that uses jackfruit for the mock meats and I really want to try their nuggets! Can't seem to find them anywhere near me, though...😭

I love the good and gather tenders! But I bake them in the oven for 12 minutes, flip and then another 12 and they get so crispy and delicious!

Thank you for these helpful and fun videos! Are all of these breaded or were any of them battered without breading? It was difficult to see the nuggets. I grew up on McDonald’s nuggets which were battered without breading (in the 90s; no idea what they are like now).
The alpha ones were probably the closest to what I remember those nuggets being like

The Aldi ones are SO good! I don't mind the "mushy" texture at all.
I think they changed the recipe. Not for sure but I don't remember it being like this before

Another excellent video! Alpha is $4.99, MS are $4.09, & Gardein is $4.39 all regular prices at my Meijer. There are often sales though. I’d love if you tested the various brands of Tofu. I know of 4 in my area...but that would be a good topic (as well as the uses for the different kinds) especially for new vegans. Thanks!

Mom and Dad, please don't fight! I love the Nuggs packaging; that is some excellent graphic design. I think they taste of nothing. I won't battle you two over this opinion, mind you! I usually just go for Gardein tenders. They do still make chicken nuggets, but, like you I never see them anywhere. This video has given me some other options to look for, so TFP!

I agree! The Nuggs brand did not taste like anything; cardboard has more taste than them and they were overpriced.

BOCA over Morning Star by far for me and the kiddo. She LOVES the Boca. I just had the Alpha's last week because Boca was out of stock, and they were good... but I'd still take Boca over all of them. Ive had almost all of these on the list over the years and Boca is always our go to. Good video!

Personally as someone who has just begun their vegan journey and a nugget feen I absolutely love the 365 brand.I feel like they resemble chicken more and get crispy without drying unlike the gardein. Also they are cheaper in my area which really helps. Lastly I feel like Nuggs are so over hyped/expensive and aren’t even worth the price. If I’m going to spend that much money I would rather buy Atlas Monroe 10 out of 10!! I know it’s not a nugget but their fried chicken is 🔥🔥. Thank you guys for doing videos like this honestly saves my wallet.
They keep improving the Nuggs by the way. 3 years ago they were like crispy saw dust 🤮 I threw away the box 😂 but they are constantly improving. I’ve tried 3 different versions
Thank you for sharing it’s good to know. I honestly wanted to love them. They are not horrible seasoning wise but I just can’t justify myself spending that much money on an okay product. Especially after finding cheaper and better tasting nuggets 😄

So... I tried the Raised & Rooted nuggets from Aldi and liked them way better than the Alpha Foods nuggets I bought through Vedgco. The texture & flavor for me was spot on and no soy! 👌🏽 I'm still trying other brands, but they're my fav so far. Thanks for sharing! 💚

Where I live in the UK, I used to be able to buy the Gardein ones and I liked them. But my supermarket has stopped selling them, which is a shame. I've not yet found another nugget that I can say " Yes, that's the one!"

Alpha and Gardein are very good! Have you tried the Gardein Ultimate Plant-based Chick’n nuggets? By far the best taste, texture, breading, & similarity to chicken on the market currently. Even the breading has an amazing taste! Highly recommend them! Morningstar Incogmeato nuggets and popcorn chicken are very good as well. Love watching your videos! 🖤

This is so good! I've been vegetarian now for 5months. I wish that I could've found this video months ago lol it would've definitely came in handy! Gardein is my favorite but I will definitely try morning star brand.

Considering the Alpha is almost twice the price for the same size package (at least in my area) it is a clear choice.
I bought the Daring lemon herb chicken and it was really good with mashed potatoes! Very strong flavors! 🤤

I live in Fort Lauderdale and just bought Alfa nuggets at Publix a huge chain grocery store,and because I'm cheap I user the app Ibotta to get money back for buying it! Thanks for the review.I lived in NJ all my life until a year and half ago.Cant wait to try these nuggets!

I’ve tried all of these nuggets over the years and I agree that Boca Nuggets are top tier over the others. Second are the Alpha nuggets in my opinion. Lastly if you try Dr.Praigers Buffalo flavor Tenders instead of originals, you guys might like those better.

I’ve tried most of these and I liked nugg brand the best. The reason is strictly on taste. The breading is the absolute best. The fact that’s it’s a bit thin, doesn’t really matter to me.

Try the Morningstar nuggets with Iron Chef brand General Tso sauce if you can get it. Something about the flavors of each that just go perfect together. You gotta get the Iron Chef brand though, as other brands I've tried just don't taste the same. Serve it with rice and vegetables and it tastes just like real General Tso's chicken you'd get from a chinese restaurant imo. You can get it at Meijer if you have one near you.

Found your channel four days ago and have watched 10 of your videos! Loving all of them. My question. Only one of the nuggets was without wheat. Most all your grocery hauls are all with wheat. I can have wheat but need to limit it. Do you have a few favorite prepackaged snacks and meals that are wheat-free? Seems like vegan = gluten.
There are so many snacks that are great and still GF and a vegan diet can be high in vegan but there's plenty of vegan and gluten free recipes too. Snack idea -- any produce - peanut butter and hummus for dips. Aldi has some great GF snacks like cookies, thin crisps, most chips are GF, energy bites or granola bars, etc
I love your taste test videos. I have been vegetarian since last June and have tried a few of the brands you showcased. I'm not a fan of morning star but I do like alpha. I also love Quorn nuggets and other meatless products. I believe they are soy or gluten free. But Quorn is not vegan. I will definitely go try the daring brand. Thanks for showing different brands to try especially since I'm new to this meatless world.

Quorn brand? I seasoned them today with a lil bit of pink Himalayan salt and chopped them up to go along with my 🥗, delish.🤙🏽

Yes! But Quorn does have a full vegan spicy patty, the nuggets unfortunately do contain milk & egg. Spicy patty is much better than the Buffalo pieces. 👌🏼 it’s my fave!
Im gonna have to agree .. BOCA is pretty good! I always get morning star or boca!! But the boca chicken patties are my go to as well!!

I love your reviews! It took me a while to get through this one because I kept getting distracted and needed to restart. BTW...the Gardein nuggets were disgusting (mushy, not crispy, etc.). I think they must be reworking the formula to match the quality of their tenders.

Most packaged food has high sodium. Everything in moderation though is our motto. You could also make your own to cut down on it

You can get alpha at natural grocers and winco in Portland. It’s only slightly pricier than Morning star at winco

You can make sweet chilli or sweet and sour "chikn" with with the nuggets. I used to spend hours trying and breading tofu but yusing the nuggets us the same concept and tastes delicious

The Whole Foods brand nugs are my favorite! I think its the onion powder you're tasting. I like the more prominent flavor, but I don't think it necessarily has a"wang."

Ok. I tried them again and they totally changed everything about them! They have a tuna texture and no flavor. The breading is different too. Why would they do that? 😪

I'm back with an update. I was watching another vegan taste test and they really really like these nuggets and I couldn't believe it that they didn't even notice the weird wang.. So I thought I'd give them another chance. They're back to tasting great except for the textures a little softer now. What are they doing???

REBELLYOUS Chicken Nuggets are the best! Breading is very good and texture great! 1. rebellyous 2. boca but I think rebellyous is the best.. tried gardein morning star alpha dr. preggers... they aren't the same... gardein fish is great!!

Alpha nuggets are scary good and tast identical to normal chicken nuggets. The Gardein ultimate nuggets are good but crispness and taste could be improved. The spicy MorningStar are delicious. Have yet to try the Nuggs and Impossible brands.
Daring chicken makes a breaded version now. I like the plain version because it's so versatile. I think it is the best vegan mock meat on the market. You can cook any dish with it. From salads, soups, wraps, and stir fry. It does have a texture that is close to chicken but it doesn't bother me because it doesn't taste like chicken. I just like the texture.
You know what's messed up....when we went to Sprouts to get things to make this video it wasn't there. Went back the next week and it was there with a big freakin NEW sign. We were like seriously.
Currently, my favorite are the Raised and Rooted plant based nuggets. I did just pick up the Nuggs at Sam’s to try.

Love the Morningstar but I’ve been buying the wegmans brand lately “don’t be a chicken”.. although I’m going to stop buying them due to the price , they are delicious especially in the air fryer ! Morningstar has a new line called “incogmeato” for kids and they have Mickey Mouse shaped nuggets. For sure switching to the alpha foods nuggets .. they have them on vedgeco.com .. 105 for 39.99 which is extremely cheaper in bulk vs the wegmans one

I kinda want to try that Daring brand. It had y'all so shook that I'm fascinated. I'm not vegan but am trying to cut back so if that can help me break away from chicken then it would be awesome.

I agree with.you guys top two and they can flip flop either day. Gardein new vegan soy free nuggets are pretty good too. Also Field roast has some nuggets and I'm not super impressed but they are worth trying.

I prefer the gardein nuggets but you guys weren’t able to find them! Their mandarin orange crispy chick’n product is very similar if you use the sauce on the side.
