I have the same issue with Beyond messing with my stomach and to me it also reminds me of canned corned beef... Not burger meat to me🤷♀️
I bought the Incogmeato for my daughter and I and when i wss cooking it all I could smell was that wet dogfood smell. It made me so sick to my stomach that I couldnt even make myself taste it lol my daughter loved it though! She does like Beyond better though. We havent tried Impossible butgers yet!

I am an Impossible fan...so agreed on your top pick! I do not like Beyonds taste or smell....I'm sensitive to pea protein in most products that use it. The Impossible ground meat opens up so many recipe possibilities along with making your own patties so this is a staple product in my home.
I’m calling the company on those beyond burgers I want my money back cuZ they were nasty but I like the Italian style meatballs tho weird but they hv a different taste than the burgers
I love beyond burgers. Slap some Himalayan salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika on them and put it in the oven and dress it with avocado spread, vegan mayo, red onions ketchup and mustard and we in there!😁

This is why I no longer eat vegan burgers at Carl's Jr. or Burger King anymore! I have trust issues. My paranoia keeps telling me that the grill cook will be an anti-vegan pimply faced teenaged boy. This forty something year old vegan trucker doesn't wanna get caught on video for beating up a boy over a burger, LOL!
I just love watching you taste test videos on the different vegan foods. You guys give good quality content and information. It's also entertaining. This helps me learn about more vegan options out there I can as a non-vegan lol
Same-- not a vegan but I do like to branch out and try to cut out as much dairy as I can because it upsets my stomach- I loved theirs
Taste tests about non daily milk and what not so I started watching them all! And have tried several new products because of it!🙂
my fave is the beyond burger, perfect with pretzel buns, and sautéed mushrooms. the beyond meat tastes great if you get vegan wonton wrappers, add vitalife cheese, and the ground up meat roll em up, fry them. SO GOOOD

Impossible taste more like a burger to me the first time I had one I had the same reaction thinking it was beef, lol
I thought that Beyond was the best burger until I tried Impossible and now it’s the only one I eat 😝 but it’s sometimes nice to have a regular veggie burger or a bean one

Impossible burger is amazing! I just made a meatloaf tonight for a mixed crowd with a couple of serious meat eaters and all they could say is how delicious it was! I’ve also used it to make their recipe for gyro’s which were awesome! I can’t wait until they come out with more products! ❤️😊 I’ve heard great things about the light life burgers too. After your reviews, I’m going to get a package to try. I haven’t tried a recent version of beyond beef, but I do love the beyond sausages. Your reviews are great!

HAHAH, we figured out after that we each had the equivalent to 3 full burgers which is still a lot but not as much as it looks like while we are tasting it LOL.
I've been avoiding this brand because of some of the taste tests that I've watched, but now I want to try their burger!

One thing I've noticed is that I feel full longer when I eat one of the veggie burgers I season it just as I would a hamburger, then add onions, catsup and mustard. So far this week, I have eaten two per day for almost a week. I have several different brands including Amy's. Too early to decide which I like best.

I really enjoy these large reviews. Thanks for taking one (or 12😉) for the team. The Impossible & Beyond are my favorites. However, I’d probably eat any of these. I haven’t tried the Meatless Farms, Fry’s, Worthington X, or Alpha. Like Andrew, I usually buy whichever is on sale.

Alpha chicken patties are actually delicious. My bf who isn’t veg likes Beyond, but only likes Alpha and Raised Rooted fake chicken.
Dr Praegers is the one!!! But fry in pan in vegan butter omggggggggggggggggg & onion garlic salt & pepper!!!! Real burger!

This is the type of comprehensive content I need 🙌🏼 I was craving a burger the other day but was holding off on buying one because I didn’t know which brand to try, but now I do! 👍🏼 I would say impossible is my top one so far, used to like Beyond meat but it also kind of upset my stomach. Wondering if the new formula is better.

BTW all of the top 5 are near $6 for two burgers (in south florida) but the Gardein in the bag is $3.50 for 4. Comparing a $3 burger to an 88 cent burger is a little unfair.

I'm working through a backlog of videos on my watch list ...and, wow! Vegan burgers have come a long way since Garden Burger and then Boca Burger! (I recall many vegan were repulsed initially by Boca because they thought it tasted too "real" -- back then!) And I've had several of these and would not complain about the ones I've had! But that must be tough to taste test a dozen of these at one sitting!! I'm impressed!! ... BTW, whatever happened to the Beast Burger from a couple years ago?
Beyond upsets my stomach too and generally don’t feel good after eating them unfortunately but I tried the new one and I felt fine after!

Impossible is great due to their exclusive ingredient, leghemoglobin (legume hemoglobin), which is essentially blood made by plants. It's a product of soy root nodules.

It's always hilarious to see how you all rate things different from what I expect. I'm defiantly all about Impossible, but they're expensive. My second favorite is Field Roast. It's seitan, so the texture is different, but I really enjoy it.

Just found you guys today. Loving the content! Huge fan of the Beyond, Impossible and Gardein burgers. IMO Gardein bag ones are especially good to double up on with a good melting vegan cheese. Not a fan of the meatless farm range. I'm starting my own conspiracy theory that they're a carnist owned company that want to keep carnists thinking that all vegan food is terrible 😂
This is my first video of you guys and I enjoyed it. My favorite is Beyond so far. I have more I want to try. Gardein has a 1 or 2 more burger options. I didn't like them. I haven't tried the ones you showed. Also all I could focus on was the amount of ketchup being used 🙂
Like your videos you both! I remember my first homemade beyond burger, and I couldn’t get that smell out of my nose. Smelled like cat food, and had a funny taste as well. I’ll have to try a couple of these other brands!

That's why I like impossible, beyond and the ultimate it allows you to cook it like a regular burger. Getting the ever so slightly char and still juicy on the inside. Even most non vegans cant tell the difference. with the beyond sausage also

The first time I had the impossible burger was at TGI Friday's. It was amazing. I haven't had the beyond burgers. I love their spicy and sweet sausage and ground for spaghetti. Their italian meatballs are amazing!

Lightlife is one of my favorites, so I was glad to see it ranked high. I love the Field Roast burger with a tomato cayenne Chao slice on an English muffin, no condiments. For some reason the flavors are so good to me. 🙂
Are you able to find Field Roast anywhere? They disappeared from all my usual retailers.

My fave is actually Light Life with a bit of liquid smoke when you cook it. Impossible a strong second. I actually had some of Impossibles sausage this summer at Bar Loui and it was really good-it's not in stores yet....Thanks for trying these for us! I'll stick to what I know lol.

Dr. Praegers nailed it on the grilled burger taste. I was surprised as well. Cooking it in the air fryer takes less than 10 mins. Beyond and Impossible are my 2nd and 3rd choices only bec of cost.

I am not necessarily vegan out of choice, it's mainly because I have a lot of food allergies and I try and hunt for alternatives to stuff like diary and meat and because of that I found your channel and am currently loving it!

SOOOOO we've tested pepperoni rolls and we have a recipe that's not posted. However, we are working to make our own pepperoni first before posting b/c I'm not thrilled with the pepperoni options out there. But soon! lol

Lightlife is my favorite. It has great texture and is great in the skillet and excellent on the grill. I like the impossible burger but I liked their original impossible burger much better.
So far I have tried gardein and impossible. Loved both of them. What a time to be Plant-based.

I love the Dr. Praeger Perfect Burger! I like that it can be baked, which is so easy! Beyond and Impossible are my favorites for on the grill, but this is my go-to home kitchen burger.
Beyond burgers hand down. Get them at Costco for 13, there are 8 in a package. On sale they’re 9

It smells weird when you cook it, but it’s one of those things where as soon as you eat it, the taste and meaty texture overshadows the smell.

Just curious if the field roast burger you tried was a new version? The ones I've had before was in a different package and I really liked them. Dr. Praegers also has a good mushroom risotto burger that is more like a veggie burger, but is still pretty good.
These are their new packaging. We've never had them before though so not sure the difference.
Fry’s has a lot of great products, literally just had their chickpeas and roasted butternut balls and they are the best. They also have great variety burgers and chicken schnitzel. However the burger that you two just had is literally the worst burger and probably the worst product they have. You should try their other burgers though, very tasty, convenient, flavourful and delicious .

The problem with Impossible meat, is the GMO that makes their meat bleed, and taste meaty, is the a soy based GMO called "Heme" or Soy leghemoglobin. This ingredient has some questionable health data, feel free to do some googling. I'll stick with Beyond, as they also have a better company objective in regards to sustainability.
Impossible also tested on animals during development, so most hardcore vegans don’t consider them a vegan product.

Love the ultimate burger & the impossible burger! There is something about the beyond burger I absolutely hate so I was so happy when I could find the impossible patty premade ! Havent tried the new and improved version though lol .

I agree 100% w/Andrew! Impossible and Gardein Ultimate have been in my rotation for a couple of months now. You can't go wrong with either and the Gardein Ultimate was a huge surprise the first time I picked them up on a whim! Unfortunately, I have sworn off ANYTHING LightLife makes after tasting their hot dogs.

I grabbed Incogmeato on a whim this week since it was under $3 at Walmart - and I was pleasantly surprised. The inside was kinda soft but it developed a nice char on the outside and had kind of a grilled burger flavor that I enjoyed. Hit the spot paired with FYH American slices.
Glad to hear Beyond has changed their formula. The smell literally ran me out of my house the one time I cooked it. And it tasted just like it smelled. *shudder*

I love making meatloaf with impossible. It’s so good! I use it for my non vegan friends snd they love it. Even my moms boyfriend likes it so that’s cool. I’m curious about lightlife. They used to be my favorite grounds for tacos until impossible lol. I love beyonds company and I haven’t tried their new burgers yet but i will become its usually cheaper here than impossible. Nothing will replace impossible ground meat package though.
Dr pragers has been my number 1 “healthy” burger for the last couple years. Big time sleeper. They started selling this same burger as a ground beef 16oz package too. Frozen. These burgers are super low in sat fat which is maybe why you thought it tasted dryer,less coconut oil “white chunks” in the burger. This video has me wanting to try light life. I’m very surprised with that one. Thanks for the great content. I’m newer to the channel and have been going back and binge watching!

I've only had beyond and impossible at restaurants twice and both times I was so paranoid. Same thing at coffee shops the use sweetened soy milk in iced drinks.
Edit: I like the gardien in the bag because it is thin and has less saturated fat than others plus when you get it on sale it's pretty cheap.

I agree with impossible being 1. But my favorite is beyond bcuz it does not contain soy, which is good for me. But u did put me on to some other one that I will try now because of the review. I do shop at sprouts and have seen a few of those other brands. Now I’m going to give them a try.

More recent than this video, but the Very Good Butchers’ new “Butchers’ Select Flippin’ Good Burger” is my new favourite if you’re looking for something that has the taste and mouth feel of meat. It’s healthier than most other options like that too.

I like the Dr. Prager's burger. The ingredients are let processed than some of the others. They also hold up on the grill well and have a lot less fat than Impossible or Beyond.

I've tried impossible burgers prepared at different fast food restaurants. The taste difference is surprising. Like I love how Habit Burger prepares it. Can't stand how this local place makes it. The other ingredients are so important to the taste.
The frozen Gardein burgers were our first go-to vegan burger. We now only buy Impossible Burger, usually the 12-ounce package that I can either use for burgers or meatballs or picadillo. I tried the Meatless Farm, and it reminded me of Salisbury steaks from long-ago eaten TV dinners. Not a good memory.
I agree that impossible is the best! I don’t mind Beyond from Carl’s Jr. but not so crazy about cooking it at home. I actually like the Gardein beefless patties and not the Ultimate. I also like the Incogmeato. Was not sure about Dr Praeger’s, but I’m willing to try now. I’ve avoided Lightlife because I saw reviews about it being like Beyond, but based on your review, I’ll definitely try.
