I might be wrong but it looks like you missed almost 1 inch of free move in the beginning. Add a hockey puck on top if you can squeeze it in (I assume the next hole makes jack too high), you may gain an additional inch which will solve the problem. I have 6000lbs model and it works for my 4Runner without any modifications (~6.5" of travel is enough for the front suspension when jacking the frame).
Thank you. yeah, I guess I might get an extra inch if I try hard. Or just making the jacking point further away from the wheel to get more lifting height. It is not worth the headache for using this jack. Definitly it won't work at all for the front wheel since it is too tall to put under my mini van. These days I just using VEVOR eletrical scissor jack. It is cheaper and efficient. I may buy a floor jack if I have more car repair DIY work. At least be able to recover the lost for buying this useless jack. 🙂
the unijack has 2 models and it states on amazon the maximum lifting height for the 4000lb jack is 8 inches while the 6000lb jack is 21 inches. that's probably why you couldn't lift the vehicle high enough
4000ib model lift range is from 8-5/8 to 18-3/8 inches whereas 6000lb mode lift range from 11 to 21. 6000lb model is too tall to be put under my car because I guess it is 11 inches tall. I don't think for any normal car or mini van bottom has 11 inches frame to ground gap. Most is 8 inches. Actually I even can't put 4000lb model under my mini van at front part. Bottle jack's cylinder height limits usage. Compare a floor jack, it can low at 4 inches, and it can raise over 20 inches. Similarly, my old scissor jack low to less than 4 inches, raise over 18 inches.
@@jsc3417 yes, bottle jack lifting range is limited by the cylinder height. yeah, make a taller cylinder can increase lifting range, but then we cannot put it under any normal cars....
Totally agree about it. However, majority of people might just measure to see if it fit in fron or back of the car. But in this case, we also need mesaure what is the minimum jacking height that tire can leave the ground. The key point is bottle jack extend distance is limited by the bottle height. So in conclusion, this jack is NOT fit for most of family cars.
helps if you read the instructions mine works wonderfully
Great video 👍 that's nice you got helpers!

@@thecommonsensefamilyincana3318 so you are saying the problem with 4000 lb UniJack is that it has too short of a lift range?

do you have jamaican accent?
I have two power built unijacks. Both are crap. One doesn’t work at all.
Ever heard of measure twice? Always measure if will fit the front and back in your car. For trucks they are golden. People these days. Geez
