- So today I thought I'd challenge myself at making a DIY pixel super mario mushroom sculpture/art piece out of hand painted wooden blocks. And I'd honestly been putting this DIY project off for a while as I knew it was going to take a long time to make, however I think it was completely worth it! Surprisingly this DIY pixel super mario mushroom art wasn't that hard to make, it was just the investment in time that was the challenge! But I think it turned out really well, and I think it would look great in a game room, or as a piece of decoration for any retro gamers out there! But let me know what your thoughts were on this DIY pixel super mario mushroom art, and let me know whether you'll be attempting something like this yourself!?

I really loved this project Ant! It turned out so well and looks so awesome! My niece did something similar using vinyl sticker paper and created a whole scene from Mario on her bathroom wall. It was quite amazing. When I was very young, about 14, I used to colour in the squares on graph paper to make designs. I found a photograph of one of these pictures just the other day. I could make a 3-D version using blocks. 😊 I have to admit I did wonder why you didn’t spray paint your blocks but your effort certainly was worthwhile. Well done, my friend!
By the way, my little dog Tara, who is now the only dog I have, has transitioned to living inside full-time very well. My two cats aren’t that fussed with her being here and she hasn’t disgraced herself in anyway. She couldn’t be inside previously because her sister was not house trained and was very difficult to control.I was a little worried she might not make the change easily, but she has and I couldn’t be happier. Tara send barks and wags to your plethora of pooches. I send pats.❤

This turned out great - love it!! Honestly, if you had spray painted the blocks, there might’ve been drips or patchy areas, but hand painting each block just made it perfect in the end, so clearly that other person was wrong. 🍄

That mushroom character came out so well Ant! I think you should make it into a wall clock, I think it's a perfect size and shape for a clock. Maybe you need to make Mario too now. By the way, I didn't notice the blemishes on your face until after you mentioned them, they barely showed at all. You looked fine to me.

Awesome video Anthony you did a great job I'm so going to recreate this for my kids. I got a mold from Sophie and toffee that was a pixel mold and I was trying to make the blocks from Minecraft but I gave up because of how tiny it was and air bubbles getting in it but this looks awesome I can't wait to give it a try.
