• The Waltons - Walton F...
The artwork of passed away cast members was a touching memorial... people may not know that Lynn Hamilton, who played Verdie Grant, the African American widow who was good friends with the Walton family is still alive... she was born in 1930... being that she is in her 90's, she may well be totally retired from doing any media involving her career, but it would be nice to perhaps hear some words about her and her character from cast members! Thank you MS. Norton for making these videos... they are greatly appreciated by many!
I wish Judy could interview Lynn on here
It was mentioned at the event that she's in her 90s and her health isn't good. I loved everything I've seen her in.
She was always such a joy to work with. I wish her health was up to being able to be a guest. We were lucky to have her with us for so many seasons.
I LOVED Lynn Hamilton's award winning work! Every episode she was in, was so believable, wrought with intense emotion and true to the role she portrayed. Judy had mentioned she has health issues. She is adored by many and we wish her well.
@@LisaLisa-2023 Lynn's work was fabulous. I felt like the Verdie and Harley, Josh and Jodie could have been a great show too.
Everyone looked great & I envy everyone who was there to be present for the long-awaited wedding. 😄
So glad you enjoyed it.
I had a crush on Judy and her "sisters" when I was a little boy. they are still so beautiful. My crush on them remains 😍
Finally! Drew and Elizabeth Cutler! That was so nice to see.😊
We had a lot of fun with that.
@@judynorton2598 Judy and Meg- I loved it, seeing Tony Becker feeling well and Kami with him, was a lot of fun to watch too. I thought you all were just very genuine and very charismatic.
Judy, we had a great time in Waco.Enjoyed seeing all of you. My Walton family. It's a dream come true. Luv you all.
Thanks for coming to share the events with us.
Thank you Judy. Such memories of simpler times..
Indeed. 🥰
Viewers like me find it heart warming when cast members are friends with each other. In this case, it's more like what Judy said, "family". What a great event. Thanks for sharing.
Love that!
So true and great to see them enjoying each other!
What great memories everyone shared about the ones who are gone. A great tribute. Thanks for sharing this exciting event Judy. This was the next best thing to being there.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
What a lovely fun endearing event! Love how you all really look the same as your beloved characters. The sketches of those who’ve passed away are beautiful! Great seeing the various guest star characters like GW and Drew attending too. “Drew” still has that distinctive young man’s voice!
It was a wonderful gathering for all of us and I believe the fans enjoyed it as well. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I love how Kami stated, "one of my older siblings" because you are a real family. Absolutely wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Love seeing you all together ! After all these years your still close ! Probably not to many shows today that the cast are still getting together. Love the portraits that were done of the cast who aren't with you anymore. Love seeing this video.
So happy to hear that. Yes, we feel very fortunate to all be so close.
Dear Judy, I think it's wonderful how you all paid tribute to the deceased cast members. Those sketches are soooo beautiful, really capturing the essence of the performers. It sounds like you all had a really nice time.
It really was a nice weekend. The sketches really were beautiful.
It would be AWESOME if y'all could come to Mid-Michigan one of these times! We used to watch the show when I was little, and it reminds me so much of my parents! Missing them so much today, especially as today is the 31st year of my dad's Homegoing! Also, my oldest sister's first, so I'm naturally a little emotional today! Much love, and God's Blessings to you ALL! 🙌🏻🫶🙏💜
I vote for them coming to Michigan also! I live in South east Michigan.
Thank you for continuing to watch.
@chefvaleriewilson8738 That's awesome! We should just encourage them to make the decision to come our way one of these times, huh?! 😉 Lol!
@judynorton2598 No prob, Judy! Won't ever stop, either! 🙌🏻🫶💜 (Btw, just FYI, I love ALL y'all to pieces, but David H.'s my absolute fave! Just sayin', of course. 😉 Lol!)
Judy seeing all of you is like seeing family members again. This was wonderful and everyone looked amazing . I hope you and the rest of the cast do this again. Thanks so much for letting us who could not be there see so much of this wonderful gathering. 💕
So glad you enjoyed it.
The nostalgia of this literally makes me cry! Those were the days my friend!!!
We have a very special legacy.
Thank you Judy!!! I was glued to my phone watching and listening to you about this event. I would have loved to have been there to meet you all!!!❤
So glad you enjoyed this.
Wow!!! The sketches are phenomenal
I agree. He is so talented.
Really wish my body would allow me to travel to these fests! i have all the dvd's and still watch daily on tv on vision channel. My dad watched it as well, we lost him last year as i still watch i feel he's watching with me. i a big fan would really love to have a signed photo of all of you one day!
Sorry you weren’t able to join us.
the cookbook sounds like it would be fun to have
We hope so. I’ll keep you all up to date.
The sketches of the cast members who had passed gave me goosebumps!
They were stunning.
Oh, this was brilliant, Judy. What a gift to all who could not attend such a special gathering!! I just loved the "reunion" and breakfast "wedding" of Elizabeth and Drew. So so sweet, and I am hoping y'all found Tony Becker feeling better as he certainly looked great after what he has been through (as a fellow cancer survivor, I totally relate ....). I also love how your Waltons family comes together when times are tough, and helping each other -- in this case, helping Martha Nix's husband in his health crisis. How lucky each of you are to have a family made possible by a Virginia writer named Earl Hamner whose stories have made all of our lives better. Thanks again for a peak into your lovely weekend together.
We’ll always be family, and we pull together to help each other. Thanks for watching.
❤❤❤❤
I am looking forward to the cookbook. 😊
Awesome! Will post when there’s more to share.
So moving to see those beautiful portraits. They brought tears to my eyes. I enjoyed viewing this video very much and it's like I can hear their voices to this day. They all are missed a great deal in my Family because to me it was like Ellen and Will were my Grandparents and I felt like I was a part of the Waltons Family. I cherish the work done on the show by all of you because you made the Fans believe possibly in those Blue Ridge Mountains we would hear the sound of John Boy's vehicle coming up the dirt road to the house heading to bed and then suddenly a little light can be seen in John Boy's window and we hear Daddy say going to bed soon Son? John Boy saying in reply in a little while Daddy and then we hear all of you saying your Good Night to each other. There will never be a greater show on Television than you all. I truly appreciate and cherish all of you 😪😊💖💖
Thank you for sharing what the show meant to you. We appreciate that so much.
@@judynorton2598you're welcome 🙂💖
Thankyou ❤this! Glad Drew and Elizabeth finally got to be married lol
It was a fun moment :)

So cool! Thank you so much.
Lovely to see ye all so well again. Where does the time go. Love Stephen in Ireland xxx
Thank you. Hard to believe it’s been over 50 years since The Waltons started.
@@judynorton2598 yet it has remained ageless and like it was made yesterday as a new TV series. That is why all new generations start watching it I think. Hello Judy by the way. Xxx
This was great to see for those of us unable to be there. I’m in the UK but you and The Walton’s were very much part of my childhood growing up and I have watched reruns of the series and films many times. Very happy memories. ( when we holiday In Cornwall I always keep an eye out for Jon!!). Xx
Thanks for watching! Hope you bump into Jon!
I want to say thank you show me all this to us thank you
Thank for watching!
I live 45 MINUTES from Waco, but I had a colonoscopy that weekend, so I couldn’t go! 😭 I was so disappointed! But I’m so glad you got these clips together to show us! Makes me feel like I was there
Sorry you weren’t able to be there in person, but glad you enjoyed this video.
This was so super. You are so all grownup now. It really was sort of like a family reunion of the younger generation. Nice to know that GW and Elizabeth finaliy got “married”. Glad to see that David Harper was there. Great work, Judy. Thank you.
Drew and Elizabeth.
It’s always such fun for us when we all get together.
The Waltons was a staple in my house growing up in the 70s. My favourites were Johnboy and Mary Ellen. My dad was quite strict and we were only allowed to watch BBC1 when he was at home! My absolute favourite program of all time. Much love from Moira in Scotland 🏴🫶👏💜
My family is from Scotland and I had an older sister whos name was Moira...It not a usual name in Canada but I know it is there...
Thank you so much.
Judy your posts are the very best. Thank you. So much is covered and explained.
So glad you enjoyed it.
I am so sad I missed this event. Thank you for visiting my hometown.
We had a wonderful time. Sorry you weren’t able to join us.
Judy, thank you so much for sharing this with those of us who couldn't be there. It was truly special! It actually brought me to tears. Happy and grateful tears. Your show means so much to me ❤
I'm so glad! Thank you.
Good food you all shared together
Hi Judy this was so awesome to see this and got to see a few of you all enjoyed seeing the video and pictures
Thanks so much
I smiled the whole time!!❤
So happy to hear that.
Thanks, Judy, for sharing.
You are so welcome
The drawings are wonderful! It’s great to see all of you together. Thank you so much Judy for sharing this with us. ❤
Yes, the sketches really were beautiful. Glad you enjoyed it.
This was epic! Seeing all of you come together as an actual family and reminiscing about departed loved ones was truly heartwarming❤. I would loved to have been there! Oh yeah, Elizabeth and Drew do make a charming couple! I'm so glad things worked out for them LOL😊!
Thanks for joining our little reunion :)
Judy thanks for sharing with those of us who couldn't be there. It's good to see so many of the cast. Hope Martha's husband can get his operation and get well.
Thank you.
Hearing Eric speak about Beaulah Bondi made me remember that she was in " Its a Wonderful Life " as Jimmy Stewarts mother....and Ellen Corby was also in Wonderful Life...I often wonder if they remembered each other from back then....
I’m sure they did. They were both favorites of mine.
Yes! Every year when I watch It’s a Wonderful Life, it’s so great to see both of them.
I knew Ellen Corby was, but didn't realize Beaulah Bondi was in that as well! How neat! I'm a couple years younger than Kami, and I remember seeing the episodes with Beaulah Bondi in them and truly believing she was their aunt Martha Corinne. She seemed like a real mountain woman. Superb acting!
Hi Judy , I WATCH YOU EVERY NIGHT (Waltons) I cannot go to sleep, unless I watch the Waltons- I wake up in the middle of the night I turned on the recordings because I have them all recorded and I watch the recordings to fall asleep as well. You might as well say I watch it 24 seven. Lol 😂
❤️
Judy I have been reading these comments and have noticed that nearly everyone received a personal answer from you. Thats amazing that you would take the time to answer hundreds of messages
I try to reach out to everyone who takes the time to comment. Thank you for watching.
@@judynorton2598 So nice to meet you . I have liked and subscribed😍
Thank you for sharing. It looks like you all had a great time getting back together. It is nice to see shows were the cast gets along, and it shows thru into the show. The Waltons is still one of my favorite shows.
So glad you are still enjoying the show.
This event was so much fun! I feel fortunate to have been able to go and participate. The cast were all so delightful and the staff for the event did a wonderful job as well. I know your schedule was tight, but so glad you came to the dinner and breakfast. I and the other attendees I spoke with appreciate you fitting this in to spend time with us all. Most definitely a fabulous event.
Mike McGreevey's documentary about Earl gave a lot of info I didn't know about him and it was nice seeing you guys and others he'd worked with speak about him. Definitely worth a watch for fans of his work, it's called Earl Hammer Storyteller.
So glad you enjoyed the weekend of events. I was glad to be able to share some of the events with everyone. Yes - Mike’s documentary about Earl is really a lovely tribute.
@@judynorton2598Judy and Scott! That is wonderful!! Im always so excited for the ones who could and have attended. Hobie Shanks, that was one of my favorite episodes. Wouldve loved to hear Michael Mcgreevey's exciting storytelling about the inimitable Earl Hamner, a man who loves people.
Come to Delaware or Maryland so I can meet all of you.
As I listen to you all what an honor for all of you at such a young age to work with such talented actors. A true blessing.
We were so fortunate.
What a lovely event. I feel like I'm a sister to you all because I grew up in Va watching every show and saying goodnight to everyone. My brothers and sisters would do this each night and we still do. Thank you to everyone for your time and commitment in helping this channel grow
Thank you so much.
I really loved this episode. It was great to see some of the cast and other guest stars. The artist who did the portraits of the cast members who had past did an excellent job to honor them. It was great to see David Harper at the end even though it was just a picture. I've seen other RUclips video claiming David was not doing well, but clearly they were wrong, so I was happy and glad to see him doing well. Glad to see all had a great time reminiscing and telling stories about the Walton's.
He seems to be almost a hermit, but very friendly at the event.
@@Scott__C By any chance were you at this event? I'm sure David is not a hermit but just likes his private life without any public appearances.
@@DaveD2488 I was, I was just joking about that, since he seldom appears at these things. I did mention that to Reen Bula jokingly, and she said that he'd probably say that himself. It was great to meet him, his dry sense of humor was great too.
@@Scott__C Oh ok cool! That must have been so awesome to see everyone and meet as well. Were you able to meet the one and only Judy Norton our host of this channel? If so that must have been so awesome and exciting.
@@DaveD2488 Yes, although of course not as long as I'd have liked , but she was only able to be there for the dinner and the breakfast and the photos. Fortunately, got a wonderful photo with them and it is very special.
It was so nice to see and hear the memories of these cast members! Looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for honoring the ones who have passed away!
It was a special weekend.
My daughter gave me the VIP package for my birthday gift!!
Had a wonderful time enjoyed the stories and other fans!! ❤
That is awesome! So glad you were able to join us.
Thank you. Judy. You are very gracious & kind for sharing. ❤
Thank you so much!
Thanks Judy for sharing. Such lovely memories. Everyone looked great.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank-you for sharing the wonderful memories you all have! (I always cry when G.W. dies & Daddy reads his will to Erin)
Our pleasure. Thanks for continuing to watch.
Another beautiful, wonderful and heartwarming video, thankyou for sharing I look forward to the cookbook too xx

Oh My Goodness Judy!!! This Is TREASURE!!! What An Amazing Footage You’ve Captured For All Of Us To See And Enjoy!!! BRAVO JUDY BRAVO!!!🙌🏾👏🏾🎉
Thank you. I’m so glad you enjoyed this.
@@judynorton2598 Yes I agree Latonya... and Judy, as always you never exclude those of us who want to but can not attend... Your labor of love brings us right to the heart of this tribute. And I loved your spontaneous dance with GW Haines LOL, David Doremus, a very dashing fellow, healthy and strong as Grandpa once quipped on the episode when GW returned to visit home, and Erin. 😁🧡💛💚
It's impressive that you gathered so many cast and guest stars to be in the reunion. (I counted 12 total). I'm sure the fans who attended appreciated that and I certainly enjoyed watching it.
I think everyone had a good time.
That was great. Thank you for that. Really enjoyed this !!!
Yay! Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing the Waco event! Almost felt like I was there. Hopefully some day. The portraits were amazing. Loved seeing everyone and listening to their memories. Cute wedding and it looks like MaryEllen didn't have to threaten to wham GW into dancing with her! 😉
Glad you had fun with this - I know we did.

What a wonderful time you all must've had, I so wish I could have been there. The Waltons was my all-time favorite show growing up. The memories the show and people involved created are priceless and will be carried in my heart forever. Thank you, Judy, for rekindling the fond and wonderful memories of a life well lived. You are truly loved and will always be held closely to our hearts.
Thank you so much.
This was fantastic, Judy. You are a gifted orator. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing us along. This was so fun! I am rewatching all seasons of The Waltons, and am currently at the beginning of season seven. God bless you for the treasure of pure Americana and pop culture that The Waltons has contributed to our society. I long for the days of simpler lifestyles and close-knit families.
Thank you so much!

Plenty of Waltons fans here. I never realized that Apple’s Way was
an Mr. Hamner production. Still looking to find a stream/ dvd of that show.
We’ve done a couple of events in the LA area. Not sure Apple’s Way ran long enough for them to syndicate.

Wow, Judy! That was a great convention in Waco! I wish Richard Thomas was here.
We missed our family members who couldn’t be there.
Thank you Judy for keeping us all apart of this wonderful series that’s still being watched in 2024. So enjoy getting to be apart of the reunions.
Thank you so much for continuing to watch.

Hi Judy. WOW!!!!! I enjoyed this sooooo much. To this day I still watch the WALTON'S. I have seen all of the shows. I just wish we could go back!! I really enjoyed all of the Walton children and all of the other actor's. I missed everyone who was not able to come. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind comments.
Thank you for sharing all of the details of the Waco event.

I think it is wonderful that all of you still maintain a family-type relationship with each other. I truly wish that there were more examples of that kind of family values programming on TV today. I will never forget The Waltons.
Thank you very much.
So awesome to be able to still have most of your cast still able to reunite after 40 years of the shows finale episode! I forgot Jack tripper was on the Waltons as a minister supervising because the characters i seen him play was not minister like at all 😊 wonderful you recorded this reunion to share with us Thankyou So much!!
Thank you for watching. Yes, it was wonderful to get to work with John Ritter.
Thank you, Thank you thank you! I loved this!! I had so many items shown for the silent auction: the lunch box, the paper dolls, the game, a couple of books and the view master reel of the episode " The Separation." This made my week!!! Love seeing all of you!
So glad you enjoyed it.
It would be nice to have a reunion show again with Drew and Elizabeth 50th wedding anniversary
Now there’s an idea :)
Thank you so much Judy, for sharing this with us, it was so fun seeing you all together and listening
Thanks for watching. So glad you enjoyed it.
It was great seeing you all together again. I have every episode on DVD, including The Homecoming. The episodes with Beulah Bondi are 2 of my favorites. She was a wonderful actress. Also love the episodes with Cora Beth, Maude and the Baldwin sisters. This series will live forever!
Thank you for continuing to watch the show.
So nice to hear from GW! Lovely reunion! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Holly, The episode that brought GW Haines Home was one of my favorite episodes. The love he had still, for Erin and the way he Beamed as he waved to his Parents who were working on their farm, not knowing their only son was to return just this one time was heartbreaking. The panoramic setting of his home & the farm would add so much emotion to the tragedy that followed (his death). David Doremus was great in that role. Wished his role would continue. But Michael aka Hobie explained GW's death was a necessary conflict for the show during that period. I think Judy might've mentioned something similar in previous videos.
@@LisaLisa-2023 ❤️❤️❤️

The impact of this show is beyond words growing up in the early 80s with a family of 8 .. a wood stove and small town this show resonated deeply with our own daily life
I can see how the show would resonate for you.
The Waltons loved having their animals
Yes we did ;)
Those art sketches are absolutely gorgeous, now more than ever we need The Waltons and those amazing stories and amazing characters, both the ones in the show each week and of course those that were visitors to Waltons mountain for an episode.

Thanks for the awesome recap❤ always good to see you all! 🌟
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed this.
What a wonderful honoring and testament to the lasting legacy, power and influence of such a wholesome, endearing and lovely show that's touched the hearts and minds of SO MANY OF US. The Waltons stands the test of time and simply can't be replicated today. Thank God we have it in perpetuity to show our own children and grands. The fact that you've all remained so close and 'normal' (with regards to the chaos & degerency that Hollywood & entertainment-in-general has become) in the ensuing years shows just how deep the values & morals of the show affect ALL involved. Thank you, Judy, for giving those of us who can't be at these reunions, a nice glimpse into them.
Thank you for your kind comments.
