I’d _love_ to get a nighttime recording of this someday! Since they’re only tested at 10:00 AM, my only hope would to be at the park during a tornado warning.
It really is something to behold in person! I would’ve recorded another test vid there today, but we’re currently under a tornado watch so that kinda failed 😅
@@xaptusI’ve frequently wondered about a proper stereo or binural recording for various model sirens at various points around you. (I have one I’ve been wanting to capture for a while whilst I work on the placement to record at.)
@@progenitor_amborella The location I record this particular siren is an awesome vantage point; just a bit of hiking & slight climbing to get to it, but the payoff is huge. What other models of sirens are you interested in recording nearby?
Dude I once heard the sirens im the dead of night, a tornado warning was issued to my entire town and a funnel cloud was coming our way, I live off grid with my parents and we have no place to hide except the dried up creek bed, Dad grabbed Mom and me and we ran to the creek, Mom and Dad practically squished me into the dirt to make sure I was the safest. Thanks for reading
@@benmeyer2916 Ehh not exactly mountains, but the distant hills & valleys do help out with the echo. Also the siren is elevated about 50ft higher than where this was recorded. It’s a very interesting vantage point.
Laclede tests their sirens on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM. It sounds cool in video, but the echoes are truly something to behold in person!
I recorded this from the top of the cliffs at Bennett Springs State Park, just outside of Lebanon MO in Laclede County. They sound at 10:00 AM on the second Wednesday of the month for a 3-minute alert. If you’d like, we can meet together next month & I can get you more accurate direction to get to the cliffs from there.
@@FalconDoesntKnowWeather Yeah, it’s monthly. It used to be weekly about 10 years ago, when we had the old siren system. Was every Tuesday at 12:00 PM.
imagine hearing that… at night…

this is so beautiful siren ambience this reminds me of the tbolt i filmed the echos are the best
That is probably the most haunting echo I've ever heard... The near dead winter landscape suits it well too
That is some of the most gorgeous siren ambiance I have ever heard. It makes it even better that the siren is my favorite siren.
Thankya! I’ll be sure to have more on the way :)
It’s truly something amazing to hear in person.
War of the World's siren ambiance.
I don't want to set the world. On. Fire.
I know that song from fallout :)
I used to be so scared of that sound when I was a kid
damn that is some insane echos

Dual toned silent hill siren
No
Definitely would hear that during an air raid or tornado warning.
This is one of the best ambiences I’ve ever heard. Thanks for sharing! ❤
You know your gonna die when you hear that
Surreal. Beautiful end with the jet noise in the distance.
I came here from a vid on tiktok
Dude…. Same literally. This was by far the coolest sounding one in the compilation

I love the sound of that siren and how the sound echoes through the terrain. Those 2T22 are great.
What an awesome video, just earned a new sub!🔊🤩
That was awesome 👌
Hey Xaptus_4 Living Mice Love Listening To The Federal Signal 2T22 Siren Ambience In Attack
The wind downs sound like they're echoing in a very large room, kinda weird
It’s as if this recording was done in the mountains

@@xaptus haha yeah I was just being a smart ass with the original commenter
Very nice 👍
Love this
The timer seems to be running a bit fast so it doesn’t wind down long enough but it still sounds stunning regardless
The deer in the area: 💀
The coyotes really like to respond whenever they’re around
I used this sound as i will open and close with my two tablet-speakers as a 3t22 or i will double close my tablet-speakers as
A cs8
when do they test these? im hoping to experience this
