Question...do you bathe her/him every day? And do you put in warm water? AND, what do you do when they get too big for the water tub? Say, like when they weigh 30 lbs...do they still need a warm water bath?
Where do you live might I ask? I live in the IE closer to the lower desert, I've considered doing this for Tortellini Tortilla, do you have something on he top that protects it from anything being able to get to it?
I’m actually working on some content currently, I waited to at least gain 100 subscribers before dropping my first actual enclosure set up video. GREAT content coming soon! 😊
We have a tricarinate hill turtle . But this is land turtle . So how can i make him friend . And how to make house for him .Its my request that can you make a video for my turtle 😊😊😊 . Which food is good for this turtle that we can purchase easily. Can you reply quickly❤❤😊😢
I recommend natural top soil(I buy mine at Home Depot) I also, mix that with ReptiBark.....(That's just me personally and it works well if it's sprayed moist with water usually after awhile springtails begin appearing) keep in mind for me this is in an indoor enclosure
I have a gated patio so there’s fencing around him, also you can make a square frame with 2x2 and staple a mesh screen on the frame to put on top of the house , very affordable and easy
Do you keep your tortoise outdoors mostly? We have a 5 year old Russian tortoise and have kept him outside mostly. However I don’t know what’s best. Also what bedding do you recommend?
Outside is always best, natural sun and fresh air but make sure that your outdoor enclosure is safe for your tortoise from predators as for bedding I have a sulcuta so I use half cypress mulch to hold humidity and half top soil
I haven't been able to find unfertlized soil or cypress in Las Vegas. Can you recommend something else? My sulcata is beginning to be too big for to keep in the house and I need to start planning his home outside@@wonderingwildlife2934
They love climbing and exploring. But they also like hiding under plants and logs. Build it an enclosure as big as possible with lots of sunlight and keep it moist.
@@ericcuellar9549 so sadly they never hatched and we don’t know if it was to hot becuse of the Texas heat or if they weren’t fertilized but thanks for the tip I might buy a box turtle
Iam sure your not covering the tub of the Tortoise At nigth other animals will smell and come to the Tortoise home and then eat the Tortoise Even in the day if your not there, eagles can come take your Tortoise away If your not there make sure to cover the whole tub
What kind of tortoise is that? I bought one impulsively when I was 9 and I don’t know what kind it is despite asking the breeders. They just said it was a desert tortoise. Mine looks exactly like that one
My sulcata, only in 1 year. From 5cm to 17cm. She as big as my palm now.
wait till year 2-3
Mine is 9 months and is almost too big for just 1 hand.😂

@@dawncrawford887 I will only bathe my Sulcata when she looks dirty and usually I also dry her in the sun.
Que bello

Hello. Great video. Thank you for sharing. I have a question... can we have an ornate box turtle and a sulcata together? Do they get along?
No
Sulcatas don’t live in north america
No
Not only would they not get along but, we're talking about 2 different types of living conditions.
That looks like my tortoise
I meer one of those ramps

That tort needs a bit more humidity.
Agree
it's a pity that there aren't any decent videos - too short

He’s gonna climb right out of that with time. Not near tall enough.
How did you placed the bricks with which you made the little house?
I just stacked on each other but made sure the stones were nice and even to prevent falling over they are to heavy for him to move
What type of soil do you recommend? Just dirt or do you buy a certain type?
