I have been woodworking since I was in middle school and it's the best hobby ever. My younger brother is a Master carpenter and I have learned so much from him and I learn alot from lovely ladies like you. My spindle stash and scrap wood is just about as huge as yours. I cannot and will not throw any kind of wood away. Too valuable. Instead of Mod Podge, I use the same color paint of project background over the stencil and then I use the color I want for the stencil image. Guaranteed no bleed through. I use hair dryer to speed things up. When I use paint on stencil over white background, I seal the white background with a water based sealer first so that when I sand after I stencil, paint won't smear on my white painted background. Continue making your great videos.

I like both for different reasons. I, too, create cutting boards. Mostly, I use old table tops and use spindle handles. If it's cracked anywhere, I use reclaimed hardware to reinforce it.

I have found that when I’m stenciling it is easier for me to weed the center of the letters first. If I drop a small piece, it has a better chance of dropping on the covered area. ❤
Both are beautiful. I’ve never used transfers. But my husband and I have lots of scrap wood. (Not like you tho). Thanks for the demo on making the handle. I do want to give this a try. Great Mothers Day gift idea. ❤🙏🙏

Thank You so much Audrey! The stencils made from the stencil vinyl is not reusable. If you notice when I remove it, it tears to pieces. You can cut it from plastic and make reusable ones. I rarely use the same design twice. 🤦🏼♀️

Cut a piece of wood, painted a piece of wood. Applied decals to wood. No talent needed.
