Good look, try using a proper lacquer thinner (Cheap brands from Farm & fleet or such), the self leveling properties of that plus the Enamels self leveling properties will you give a much nicer Glass or Mirror finish. 1:1 paint/Lacquer thinner is great starting point, though 1.5 paint to 1 thinner works great too. Great video looking forward to the rest.
Best method I found for wires besides buying an aftermarket set is to use 2 different gauge wires. Choose the size you like for the plug wires then get another wire 1 or 2 gauges larger. The larger guage cut off a length and pull the copper out (Those can be made into linkage lines or brake lines later). Cut the larger gauge to make plug wire boots for both ends. This way no drilling of the Distributor cap the boot slides over and glued just like the real deal minus glue of course lol. You can make the angle boots for the manifold side of the wires but cutting a V groove in the straight boot then gluing after folding to make that 45 or 90 degree angle. I like the yellow or blue wires then use black or red wires for the boots. Luka Cee here on YT made a video describing his method for this which is pretty much the same way we did it before Detail Master came about ;). Hope that helps, drilling distributors is Royal pain lol.

Nice looking workshop, the Nova is coming along nicely, I built the old pro last year ,mostly stock, those fenders are a bit of a challenge! The distributor came out great, nice work.

Thank you my friend. This project is winding down, almost done. I’m going stock too. Little more challenging than the Revell but no problem for an “Old Pro” like me…more like Old Fart! lol I was surprised how well the front Crome went on.(I was expecting issues because of those fenders) Lots of FUN! It’s nice to share this AMAZING HOBBY with like minded people! Thanks again. JC : )

@@jcgabis5546 Yeah, the bumper/ grill fit pretty good, I just taped the hood in place and lined up the fenders that way, took a little grinding and sanding by the firewall.

Hey there! You have a nice building shop.
On removing chrome from plastic my go to was soak parts in bleach overnight and that is that.
I'm in the middle of a building a donny allison monte carlo by salvino JR, and soaking there chrome in bleach didn't work. So I went to the oven cleaner, didn't work either. So I'm wondering if you have built any salvino kits yet if so and you got the chrome removed please let me know.
I resorted to just painting over it YUCK!
I watched hypiguy build it and paint over it as well. While positioning the carb for install I noticed my xacto knife was moving it around before contact lol the stuff is ferrous or partially magnetized as well. Let me know if you have any experience with Salvino kits, Build on!
