00:30 with perhentian it has always been that way, you only find your room once you set foot on the island/beach. Been there 12 times and only this year had I booked my room online for the first time. 02:15 back then 20 years ago even up to 2012, most boat services are using smaller speedboats that could only fit in 10-12 passengers max. Bigger boats like you were in, were only introduced in the past 10 years or so. 06:02 I don't know whether you stopped by ewan's place or not (behind ombak) but they serve the best mango milkshake on the island.

Perhaps the next time you're back in perhentian kecil you could do the pulau rawa snorkeling excursion for a change. 3 locations pulau serenggeh, tokong burung and pulau rawa. If you go to my channel and go to the about section there's a link to my old blog where I wrote about perhentian kecil, it's more like a 13-year memoir, I couldn't post the link on the comment section as it will be deleted by youtube. You could read some stories and recent historical context on the happenings of the island. If you're not a reader then you could just scroll down and look at old photos of perhentian. How it looked back then.

From Kota Bharu Airport, is it easy to get the private taxi to Besut Jetty or is it required to make a booking ahead of time? If you still remember the agency you rented in, could you let me in on the info. 2. I read online that a ticket to Perhentian Island from the jetty requires an online purchase, can you get it on the spot - in person? 3. How are the pricing for food in Perhentian Island? (The reason being, my last visit to an island was to Pulau Tioman, and the food was incredibly expensive). Thank You very much in advance! Do Take Care 🥰🤗
hey! yup, easy to get taxi to besut jetty, they're all parked outside and they'll usually be asking ppl to see if anyone wants taxi. i got the tickets on the spot myself. the taxi brought me to a place and i just bought the tickets there. you gotta check the timing tho. if i remember correctly, the food is reasonably priced, ntg too expensive for normal meals. you're very welcome 😊

30 years ago I arrived on Perhentian Islands. One bar and maybe 12 bungalows. Amazing to see how much it has changed.
Me too.went there in 1993.not many proper accomodation.it was a really virgin island.

I went to Perhentian Islands as well and loved it. I would also suggest neighbouring Redang Island if you haven't been yet
