We are travelling on a budget and many of the resorts or hotels are extremely expensive, but we did not want to camp since we heard that the tent can be hot, mosquitoes can be a problem, and it can be harsh during rainy days. We had our electronics so we didn't want to risk it.
So we searched three of the cheapest accommodations on 3 of the most popular beaches in Perhentian Island.
We stayed at:

You could get cheap rooms if you're not picky. The cheapest I've paid for a night in long beach was rm35.

@@afariznizam1519 i've been to Kapas island before, the island very peaceful and a very tiny island..within 30 mins to 1 hour you can walk/snorkel the whole island~

hahahha u right, i rly wanted to go there and i asked my mom, we might plan to go there during my school's winter break end of this year. it looks so beautiful. the last time i went to places like this is the maldives and that was 2 years ago.

But no aircond with direct exposure to the strong khatulistiwa sunlight will make the room like an oven! Better choose the room with aircond one!

Haven't been to Perhentian before..... more of a Tioman guy and usually head to the beaches of Phuket & Krabi ( Pre-Covid era) but always good to new options open...... Stay safe & happy travels...

I like the aircon one. I like to sleep in cold room, lol esp when the weather is cooking hot !
I stayed at Cocohut and had to walk up the steps and slope... not for old folks, lol. But the chalet is comfortable wt ac. We know the owner there.
The other place we stayed at was The Barat Perhentian resort. The food is VERY GOOD, and chalet/room is ac. Place to sit and lie on the hammock, and that is where you can see the flying squirrels.
I would recommend The Barat Perhentian resort.

I sent 1 week in long Beach 20 years ago. It has changed so much since then . Long Beach was amazing weather went snorkeling and saw tones tropical fish and even saw reef sharks. I thought long Beach was way better then bondi Beach, Australia

i wonder how did they get that super host badge...OMG their attitude is sucks!
The owner of Crocodile Rock are not the friendliest people. We didn’t want to mention it in our video, we don’t know what they are going through.

I just came back from Perhentian. Stayed at Bubu Villa and the price is equivalent to the pool suite in St Regis Langkawi!
Bibi villa is the most luxury resort in long beach after Mimpi I guess.

well I would say for a local person these price are still quite expensive. if you are solo or just boys you could chose `Butterfly Chalet` it cost 60-80RM/night

Wow that place is beautiful! unbelived turquoise beaches, no idea why they are saying that langkawi is the best beach in malaysia, that beach looks like a fairy tale compared to anything ive seen. equivalent to niagra falls of beaches??

I've never booked any accommodations in advanced when going to Perhentian Kecil considering that I've been there numerous times. I think it's old habit. Would only look for a room once I set foot on the island. The same goes with kapas island. I would tell my wife if we can't find a room, we'd sleep on the beach, but that never happens.
haha we didn’t want to take the risk of sleeping on the beach lol. Not with our electronics.

Pulau Perhentian is expensive to going there.. We locals also pay more than other islands in Malaysia such as Pangkor, Redang, etc.. Better spend it to Mabul Island, Sipadan Island etc..

yes. Actually there are cheaper options on Perhentian Besar but not much to do
