Great video ! I remember amazing snorkelling spot at P.I.R beach (in front of the Perhentian Island Resort on Perhentian Besar). That reef was literally packed with small fishes, coral sharks, clown fish, turtles, and of course vivid corals. But it was in 2015. In 2018 we found nothing, all that ecosystem was gone. Only broken bleached corals left :(
I remember my trip to the fisherman village after 3 snorkeling point. I was really exhausted. Then i ordered Kari Sotong for lunch. I came back to life. At Night i ate ikan bakar at amelia chalet cafe. So good. Anyway as my last comment, really hope u can visit Redang. Steve, you are a good swimmer , going so deep down.(like a pro!) Ivana did it well too! Always like your drone video! Years ago, my hubby , me and his friends went fishing (speed boat) out in the sea near the smaller islands( in the background - Pulau Salji, uninhabited where I was let to rest while the guys went out fishing - shown in your previous video). Great memories.
Hey! Thanks for watching. The drone stuff is easy to film on Perhentian, because it seems like whatever the camera is looking at is beautiful! And, -sounds like a great trip you had!
I was staying in Perhentian, last week...staying close to shark point, saw sharks , esp baby shark, almost every time I went out snorkeling ..If you big on snorkeling Pulau Rawa is even better.
Oh, they fenced up the light house, when I was there (like years ago), people could actually climb up there and jump down...maybe there were some accidents that made them fence it up, I managed to see a shark at Shark Point but it was shy and swam away from us. Glad you guys enjoyed Perhentian, I love it there, I stayed there for a week, all by myself. Try Redang next
4:29 seems a bit empty, usually (before mco) the food court would be jam packed because everyone on the snorkeling trip would have lunch at the same time. You guys planning to go for the Rawa island snorkeling? The corals in Serenggeh island are gorgeous since they are more protected there. But hopefully no storm is coming to that part of the island.
Perhentian is best.... but the magnificent n the best place to snorkling n dive is in pulau sipadan & pulau mabul also in malaysia in the state of sabah....u must try it....

Fantastic Video, well done. Just to add a little comment on the guy feeding the fish by hand. Although it looks like fun etc., it can be dangerous because while the food attracts a lot of fishes, it also attracts the baby sharks if there are any around. These baby sharks don't feed like those cute little fishes, it zoom in like a torpedo and Boom...there goes your fingers.... This happened in Pulau Payar Marine Park of Langkawi. I placed a tiny plastic bag of food on a coral to attract the little fishes so that I could take underwater photos of them feeding...Yup, pretty nice and plenty of pretty fishes...then, suddenly, the baby sharks zoomed in, came like missiles and Bam..the little bag of food was gone...and I got a photo shot of that too!! Luckily, I wasn't holding the little bag or holding the food in my hand because the baby sharks have very sharp teeth. A stupid guy caught one baby shark, held it by its tail so as to take a photo by his friend..He was smiling for the camera when the baby shark turned and bite his arm. The resulting photo must have shown a guy grieving with pain and a bleeding arm, feeling stupid...that's how dangerous it can be...The blood in the water could have also attracted the baby shark's parents... Hence, we all have to respect nature and its surroundings...and be aware of the dangers that may not be so obvious... Nature is not created as our playground or theme park....Other than that, enjoy and have fun...Take care and Stay safe...Cheers.
Wow! Crazy story! Yeah, we figured it was wrong to feed the fish, as it is just about always wrong to feed any wildlife. I can still see why he did it, great photo opportunity! But we don't do stuff like that. Leave it for the people who are ok with having 9 fingers 😜😂
Please do not bring plastic bags into the ocean and please do not feed them / touch them just to satisfy yr.desire for a good photo, the food might not be good for them, just admire/respect them. We are in their homes.
