- I have Found Out From Testing It Appears To Be Impossible To Hit The Head Hit box of lizards if you look straight ahead of your opponent so wanted to show how Busted The Block Is So Hopefully you enjoy

When This video is released Ill be streaming right now. But yea bardiche block is extremely overtuned because even if you suck at blocking like me since i never used a shield before. The bardiche blocks your entire head hit box if your looking at the straight at your target which makes projectiles almost useless since if you crouch while blocking they can only hit you in the lower leg to foot. and if you look at the general direction of the incoming projectile you will parry it very easily so for those buckler gamers out there you guys can do this way better than me and i bet a lot of fighters will start abusing this with shield perks and counter attack. if you have any questions ill try my best to answer when I have the time to do it

i tested this out a bit, if you use perfect block the counter attack comes out basically as quick as a riposte
is gaming with a pen considered against terms of some games? because i can see an actual advantage with someone with osu level aim
@@ValorantKillua That would be silly if it's against terms of any games IMO. I don't think there's any advantage to it over using mouse.
Hey Pete. Longshlong enjoyer here. I've tried the bardiche out on my fighter with counter-attack and shield mastery for the 60% action speed on a return hit. It's.. certainly interesting.
Pros:
* Ridiculously effective at pushing a door with rangers shooting through it. The hitbox protects you way more than it should.
* Excellent at providing protection against weapons that the longsword traditionally struggles to parry/riposte (rapier, short-sword, daggers).
* Great burst damage post a block if you can keep to sweetspot spacing.
Cons:
* Even with the +60% attack speed, and with perfect block active there is a "stagger" delay to the bardiche before your super-fast first attack *can* come out. This can make it surprisingly dodge-able.
* Your mob clear speed is significantly lower than it would be with a longsword - both when fishing for riposte instakills, and when just swinging.
* No clang noise releases zero dopamine on a successful block.
Overall, my conclusion from just running it in normals is that it can't replace a longsword. But it can serve as a good supplement to the longsword if you're running a relatively budget blues/greens dexterity and + phys power build (or strength + action speed), replacing the inventory space you'd otherwise reserve for a sword and board in actual PVP. You do have to give up a helmet for the lizard skin for maximum efficiency, so this isn't something you'd want to run on a BISed out gearset.
But it is fun for pushing that annoying double ranger team in frost caverns that think they're safe cause they're holding a door.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the shield mastery only helps with the speed of the recovery for the next block right? Not the swing of the bardiche- it says 50% action speed for a block not an attack.
@@Edutreg it's just poorly worded. You basically get a 50% action spees bonus to your next action after a successful block. This could be a speed up to you applying a new block, or it could be the speed of a riposte, or indeed a counterattack with a bardiche swing.
Try picking up a bardiche with this perk equipped. Swing once normally, then ask a friend to hit you, and attack post block

Interest = piqued.
Counter Attack seems good with how consistent the blocking is; could make chasing so much easier with that near-constant speed buff, but I'm REALLY excited to try it with Shield Mastery since the next ATTACK is actually increased by 50% action speed (not just the next block, tooltip is inaccurate). Eliminating that slow first swing could be amaze.
Yea I Thought the same Bardiche is balance because the first swing is slow and followed up by a fast jab so i truly believe fighters can really abuse this
Agreed! Also, the action speed from Counter Attack STACKS with the action speed from Shield Mastery, making that first attack after a block just absurdly quick

haha that part around 6 min when the ranger ran out of arrows worked better on stream because he chased for you for like 10 min shooting the whole time. It looks like he only shoots you a few times in the clip but I remember him firing on you for AWHILE.

With the 50% action speed from shield mastery and 10% from counterattack, It might be enough to let you block a hit and counterattack effectively.

Was always my favourite warlock weapon. Can stat check a barb with pos up. Its terrible first swing is probably the only thing stopping it from being meta rn. That and you can't use it in enclosed spaces + hilarious movespeed penalty.
Yea with counter attack perk and shield mastery I bet that will no longer be a problem anymore
@Skinny_Pete_ Too bad blocking isn't client side so you're still essentially gambling. That and the abhorrent range on the first swing is likely to get you hit if you mess up your spacing

I've already done this build with my fighter some time ago because i love blocking with bucklers. I did adventurer's boots, cloth pants, heavy gauntlets, grand bergadine, sallet, and murcerial cloak. In order to get my dex to 35+ and strength to 30. Pairing shield mastery with counter attack on bardiche. The goal was to get the block stance to work as fast as the buckler.
The problem with this on barbarian is what next? You dont stop their combo and you dont benefit from it. On fighter youd be getting a lot of movement and action speed, also more resistance. But it definitely is really good for projectiles id say for melee combat not so much. Ah well watching further into the video you say its better for fighter, I still think this will be really good for barbarian tho just because you can easily block projectiles with it.
Well simple way to put it is blocking projectiles while closing the gap is useful. and if you mess up spacing you can rely on blocking the attacks to create more spacing to dodge
The bardiche block is like a thinner Pavise but tilted on its side. It can block the head and the torso and if you need to protect your knees you can look down. I am interested in how big the spear block is, I wonder if it's similar but vertical instead?

Yea With bardiche block its impossible to hit the lizards head hitbox but not sure if it also applies to human characters

You should try the forbidden potion chugger build.
Ive been stacking magic healing and buff duration with potion perk and depending on how high you take the combo it can be 25-40 hp off a grey potion in 12+ seconds. Action speed is important for the weapon swapping (I run club / lantern both with magic healing)
Iron lungs also works well with the buff stacking.
Dark and darker, where npcs will shoot an arrow through the smallest crack in the floor at your pinky-toe, yet this is also a thing. One or the other Ironmace. Precise/perfect hitboxes, or not. Please pick.

@@Skinny_Pete_ idk, i showed it to my brand new irl friend and they hit like 50 parries in a row on barb, never seen a fighter use bardich in 800 hours. Its another bugged thing that benefits barbs, same with achilles and full heal skill on barb.
