    Prep Time: 20 mins
    Cook Time: 25 mins
    Servings: 3-4
    To Make Dough
    Wheat Flour - 2 Cups
    Salt - 1/2 Tsp
    Ghee - 2 Tsp
    Warm Water
    To Make Filling
    Almonds - 1 Cup
    Jaggery - 1 Cup
    Cardamom Powder - 1 Tsp
    Ghee - 1 Tsp
    Method:
    1. Take wheat flour and salt in a large bowl. Mix it well and add ghee.
    2. Mix it all again and gradually add warm water.
    3. Prepare the dough and knead it for 5 mins. Apply some ghee on the dough, cover the bowl and rest the dough for 30 mins.
    4. For the filling, dry roast the almonds for 2-3 mins to make sure they have the slightly rich brown chars.
    5. Take them out and powder them in a mixer jar. Transfer it to a bowl and add jaggery, cardamom powder and ghee.
    6. Mix it all well and keep it aside.
    7. Take the rested dough and divide it into dough balls. Take each dough ball, dust it with some flour and then roll it into a slightly thick roti.
    8. At this point, keep the almond jaggery filling in the middle and then close it with the dough from all sides to the centre.
    9. Gently seal and press the paratha, start rolling it again very gently in order to not let the filling come out.
    10. Once the paratha reaches a medium thickness, place it on a hot Tawa.
    11. Keep flipping it on both sides, keep applying some ghee on both the sides and cook the parathas until they have rich brown spots on them on both sides.
    12. Sweet, tasty and tempting Gur ka Parathas are ready to be served hot with some gooey almond jaggery stuffing inside.
    Hello Viewers,
Today, I am going to show you all a unique recipe. This is "Gur ka Paratha". Gur in Hindi means jaggery and paratha is our very own Indian bread made with wheat flour. Parathas usually have spicy stuffing made with vegetables or meat or just spices inside them. But this one is very different from all those varieties because it has jaggery with almond in it and is sweet in taste obviously. Though this is slightly closer to the idea of Puran Poli/Obbattu/Bobbattu, the taste of these two varieties is absolutely different. The texture of Puranpoli is solid and gur ka paratha is gooey inside. So try this variety recipe and enjoy.
