The biscuit base has to be firm and nice. That's why u shouldn't mix up the cream with it. Always use digestive biscuits for the base. You can use the cream separately as a layer if you want or mix it in the custard.
At least use a piping bag for the too thick custard to spread out. The outer lines of the dessert container r extremely untidy, hence un appealing even if ur an amateur cook
