hi, as you said if the company highly value in finance ap ar gl account, then should go for SAP s4. is oracle , d365 weak in finance module? please give me details, we are plans to choose best fit solution
I am loving this. Eric can you suggest the best way to implement ERP ? Waterfall does not work. You already said Agile does not work . Any form of hybrid ?
Good Day, we implemented D365 Template moving from SAP using both Waterfall and Agile. Its a tricky concept to get right, but if managed and tracked it works.
Hi Charlie, there is good merit to industry specific solutions. They may not be as "big" as other ERP systems, but they can provide more specific and cost-effective capabilities depending on industry and what the requirements are.
@@erickimberling Thank you for your thoughts and insight. I myself am with one of the “smaller industry specific” ERP systems. My father has a company with 5 locations out west and in Mexico, and he decided to go down the Oracle/Generic path. Long story short, he regrets not getting an industry specific package. Glad I subscribed to your channel! You’ll be seeing my comments on your page. Cheers!
Wonder how this holds up today. After leading an Oracle ERP transformation, I find their definition of the word FUSION to be misleading. I agree that it is more mature (some modules) and is flexible, but almost to a fault. Their tech stack is not fully on Redwood and is a mix of OAF/ADF/Redwood. And most of their other modules are acquisitions that are not fully integrated into Fusion.
SAP is too complex for its own good, and it’s inelegant with it. You can build unintelligible and eventually unsupportable data models with it. You can paint yourselves into a process corner with it if you are not careful.
@@richardhoulton4016 lol we are always critical on the programs we use. I am an university student and I'm learning about logistics and im wondering what program i should learn to have an attractive resume / cv. I'm thinking based on the comment section. I will learn microsoft dynamics as I am already familiar with word excel and microsoft has a good well known track record. I worry that SAP might be obsolete and not intuitive to pick up.
@@joelt7869 Once you have a thorough understanding of ERP concepts, it’s not terribly hard to “switch” ERPs. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I still believe that SAP in over engineered for most organisations…even Tier 1 organisations.
Don't understand how you can compare Microsoft with SAP or Oracle. The comparison should be between D365 F&SCM vs SAP S4 hana vs Oracle. Business central is a very basic product and it cannot be compared with SAP at all, hence no point in comparing Microsoft with SAP etc
From a cost perspective , is there a way of putting that in the evaluation? (set up cost, maintence cost)
Infor is not here ?
Thank you so much for making these videos available.
how can someone try them out? Are there free demo's anywhere?

Thank you so much for this valuable knowledge! As a Business Management student, I just love it here! 💯👌
Which SI’s are generally the best for each?
Great Video. Quick question. What is the main difference between SAP By Design and SAP S/4Hana?
if u hav a group of companies, can u maintain two to three companies' books of accounts under one license?
Possible with same country domain.
What would you recommend for a small/medium manufacturing company with multiple and very different production lines
Without any doubt go for dynamics 365 business central

@@wernerleithgob5629 Would suggest a hybrid waterfall approach. Waterfall the whole thing and divide tasks into sprints.
What are your thoughts on Industry specific ERP packages that were made to support/grow with a specific industry?

Great Video. I am a PeopleSoft consultant and looking for a transition. which one would be better in terms of job opportunity and pay rate. Thanks.
Keen to hear your thoughts on Salwsforce, Pega CRM and Dymanics 375
Get Salesforce don't bother with the others
An outstanding example , which we too follow....
Very helpful! Thank you.

Very good. Excellent explanation.
SAP is a nightmare, please do not get into SAP specially if you have a small or mid growing company
Sap is slow af, dynamics 365 is faster. And it integrates well with power apps, power automate and power bi
What do u mean by slow?

Interesting your assessment does not include Infor. Surely with 14000 cloud customers, ahead of your leading three, your analysis is limited.
