Hello Abdullah, Thanks for the info. Yes i do agree with you when someone asks me the difference between ECC & S4 HANA it's not fair to say some or other changes and leave the rest. But for my knowledge i have listed some of major changes as we know they were several changes. I would like to tell on a shorter to note I've categorised into 14 major differences:
14 Major Differences between ECC to S/4 HANA
1.S/4 HANA can either run on Cloud or On- Premise,(Example 1609-On Premise & Cloud - 1610)
2.S/4 HANA can only run on HANA Database where as ECC can run on multiple DB's like Oracle,DB2 etc
3.SAP Fiori App is Mandatory it can perform activities & run real time reports.
4.S/4 HANA Employs a single line item table ACDOCA - Universal Journal, Combining tables of AP,AR,GL,AA,ML & CO.
5.HANA Database is columnar based in S4 HANA, Resulting in speed from fewer distinct values and parallel processing.
6.In S/4 HANA there are no summary tables, index tables instead, line item tables are used.
7.Inventory Management is reduced from 26 tables to a single table (MATDOC) line item table.
8.Material Ledger is mandatory and helps in valuation in two additional currencies in S4 HANA
9.In S4 HANA Parallel Ledger is a pre requisite for new asset accounting
10.Cost elements are merged as GL Accounts in S4 HANA, resulting No need of reconciliation from CO-FI
11.In S4 HANA pricing table “KONV” is replaced by a new table “PRCD_ELEMENTS”.
12.S4 HANA includes migration cockpit.(LTMC - Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit)
13.In S4 HANA. Customer & Vendor are integrated as a “ Business Partner”(CVI - Customer Vendor Integration)
14.In S4 HANA Material Numbers have been increased to 40 Characteristics.

In the simplification list - 1511,I do not see Ledger approach with S4HANA...Is it covered in Simple finance changes from ECC ...I do not see a list of changes for Finance alone....
there is no list for finance alone as far as I know

Quick question: If I want to create my own ERD (entity relationship diagram) let say, for BP Master Data, is there a document that give hints on the Data Model? I manage another SAP ERP (B1 for HANA) I have a document that tells me that OCRD is header table for BP, CRD1 has the possible address to deliver goods, CRD2 Payment Methods, and so forth.
In this way I am able to get good insight of the data model and how the system works.
Well, connections between different tables is very complicated in SAP.

I guess the question is what is the fundamental difference.
For example in SAP the only programming I need for debugging is ABAP and if I want to check tables I check SE16. Is they the same.
I know S4 hana is quite fast. I heard that it uses both ABAP and Java.
Also do you access tables the same way?
How do you debug?

I work as consultant implementation FICO ECC, the fact to understand the differences between two systeme is to begin with the first version 1511 , I didn't have to think about it, and just thank for that, but today how do you do if you work with the last version, I have to study the first version , is it enough if I use the last version of S/4 HANA or I have Also read the differents version ( 1610 1700 1800 etc ) what do you think ???? Hii Abdullah, I've recently joined an organisation straight after completing my graduation. They've put in into SAP BASIS domain. This is completely new for me.
I just wanted to know if it is going to be good for my future? And what what things I should add into this which will increase my demand as a BASIS Consultant in future?
BASIS is essential in any project same like all the other module. I don't have a lot of information about it sorry.

It's a technical module we do administration kind of things like patch upgrades, monitoring, implementation, database management, migration etc.

Thanks for sharing the video. Make the video of Sap ide's installation for students & professionals to practice. i am not in a position to pay to access the ides for practice for the exam. Hardly to arrange the exam fee to get a better career future. Please help me out how I can get the sap Ide's install on my computer or external hard drive.
IDES for S4Hana requires huge hardware, it's not an option
Only ECC you can get IDES but it's outdated
You can try free access to S4Hana with Google Cloud, check the video on my channel
