    I listened to this sermon after much time with tears on my cheeks. Last year I went through the hardest time of my life. Rejected by my parents, best friends, and the pastor of the church. Constantly battling spiritual attacks and dealing with traumas from childhood. One day I arrived to exasperation and I wrote down on a paper the list of my problems, what God did wrong, and how He should have done things differently. I went into prayer and after reading the letter, God did speak to me. I've been humbled and changed since that day.

David was not always right, just a man, he was controversial, I in 40 years have not found anyone to teach the bible as wonderfully as he did. Thank you God for David, his life and his works, & we have his legacy to spread to everyone now

    9:45 friend has a false vision
    10:05 but Job says why am I suffering more than most ppl
    17:40 "forcing facts to fit their faith"
    20:05 "I'm not conscious of anything that I'm doing wrong"
    31:20 "will you condemn Me to justify yourself.."
    33:55 "I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes"
    34:05 he says the main thing is that God is talking to Job again..
    34:30 but I think this might have been the main point of the whole thing "I know everything you do is right. I should've trusted You"
    35:01 "you have not spoken of Me what was right as my servant Job has"
    36:01 "the test was would Job trust God without knowing"
    41:10 The main point: Job saying "I don't need to know as long as we're talking again" I sure wish pawson taught more on hearing the voice of God-hes hanging a great deal of the meaning of these texts on that type of reality

    KJV 7 And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath. So, Job was spoken of Him the things that were right.

    God Bless David Pawson, RIP. Both parts of this series are great and worthy. The only part Mr. Pawson gets wrong is Behemoth and Leviathan, it makes no sense that after talking about numerous animals that two more animals need to be discussed. Leviathan is historically identified as the Devil, Satan, the Serpent. So, then what is comparable? Behemoth is more of a mystery, perhaps God is referring to the powers and principalities that St. Paul talks so much about. Lastly, the reason Job gets his stuff back at the end is because Job is a type of Christ, as Mr. Pawson noted. In the text, Job being made whole works as a type of resurrection in the text.

    32:10 I do adhere to the idea that the creatures mentioned are not animals alive today. The hippo doesn’t have a tail the size of a tree. Also it makes it clear none can challenge these creatures due to their size. When I picture the scene of Job looking at a sauropod dinosaur, I picture a scene similar to the scene from Jurassic Park of something so big that just goes about it’s business without worry because of its size it doesn’t have to be concerned with anything. It paints a much clearer picture of God’s power to me. It also goes to show that if animals like that are no longer around the comparison God used is no longer easily accessed. And yet, we as humans are still fascinated by creatures of the past. People will already get out the swords and yell at me for saying creationist thinking. I don’t claim to 100% know the truth and discredit all the work that paleontologists have done. I just think there is more going on that we as humans just can’t see nor will understand in this life. I love paleontology but I admit the information is so limited that it’s impossible to know. There is a meme of a hippo skull and how paleontology would reconstruct it with the information available if hippos were not alive. Doesn’t even look like a hippo.

    • @DavidPawsonMinistry
      @DavidPawsonMinistry  4 месяца назад

      It is a very good question - but we place so much emphasis on the hear and now - when we live in a fallen world and God is focussed on the future - eternity
      As a Parent we can lock our Children up in cotton wool or ......allow them to experience life. This is the refining, maturing process we all go through
      "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tested beyond what you can bear "
      We all focus on Jobs hardship but in the end God blessed him with twice as much as he had before
      - so is God a hateful God who allows us to suffer - remember it was Satan who desired to hurt Job, God allowed but he did not direct Satan to do so !
      - or is God, a God who does not allow us to be tested beyond what we can bare and in the end ............will reward us with a double measure ?

    • @moodydude6790
      @moodydude6790 4 месяца назад

      @@DavidPawsonMinistry A lot of points to go on I dont know where to begin. First of you raise another piece of scripture that I also struggle with: "..not being tempted beyond what you can bear." It is something I long to believe, perhaps I have more faith in that than I did in the past, particularly having to know the difference between being tempted and tested; both of which are enough to differentiate among themselves but I suppose are tricky to define when the pressures on.
      As for over protective parenting: knowing believing parents whom do it themselves, lets just say Im not for it even with things getting as bad as they are.

    It's disappointing that many Bible teachers, Pastor Pawson included, do not appreciate that Job's wife (at 5:49 "she was insensitive") is tested as much as, if not more severely than Job himself. "Curse God and die" seems to be all that defines Job's wife, not what brought her to that cliff. She obviously did not have the kind of faith Job had, to sustain herself. Instead of treating her as a companion in times of testing, self-centered Job rebukes rather than comforts her. Like others whose faith has been shipwrecked in the midst of afflictions, her story is not handled with any compassion - least by Bible teachers who've never gone through what Mrs Job did. How is it that bible teachers are often the hardest people to teach the bible to?

    • @LorraineGrant
      @LorraineGrant 9 лет назад +2

      +chhmar99utube I was thinking a similar thing. Everything Job lost his wife also lost. Bereavement makes people have uncharacteristic behaviour.

      Lorraine Grant - on re-reading my own comments, and learning more about Pastor Pawson's personal family life, i have been harsh on him, and i apologise. for that. Mrs Job's anger with God at the lost her children in tragic accidents is indeed understandable. In the end her faith may well have been restored along with Job's although this is not stated.

    • @LorraineGrant
      @LorraineGrant 9 лет назад +2

      +chhmar99utube It is a valid point you make about Mrs Job. If a character is mentioned in the bible we should pay attention to them and have empathy for their situation.

      Let me explain..
      When Peter confronted Jesus that he should not die, did Jesus comfort him.. no..he rebuked him and called him Satan, because he was not mindful of the things of God.
      We are called to love God more then our spouses.
      Jobs wife. In her curse God and die, was a mouthpiece for Satan, and needed to be rebuked not comforted.
      He put God before all, he wife rejected God..

    So apparently the Hippo has the tail of a cedar and crocodiles can breath fire lol the bible speaks of leviathan and behemoth, great and powerful beasts, but their description defies modern science. But because he is soooo logical he cannot even bring himself to admit that God has created what would be considered a mythical beast like a dragon or a sea monster. God is more powerful than his intellect (however large lol)
    I love his talks but I always take God at his word, if he made these great beasts or created the world in 6 days then I believe God completely 🙏

    I grew up with a father who wanted to kill me. Now while this may be shocking for some it is also an admission of faith for others. My life story is not unusual ... many have lived my life ... we have just not met yet. Do you know what it is like to be say 7 years old and know your father wants you dead, is looking for ways to kill you, and you are fearful of the food he serves you. Heck this is no joke ... this is reality. My best friend in life was the son of my Reverend. He was a much bigger man than my father ... and ex professional football player ... a man I literally looked up to and a man who I emotionally looked up to at the same time. My reverend spoke to my father on my behalf. My father killed himself with a 12 inch kitchen knife shortly there after. That was justiice in the 1960's.

    What God said about the Earth is not poetry but is factual. The Earth is flat with pillars below and the firmament above, the seas are surrounded by the ice wall and God dwells over the firmament (the third Heaven). That’s why God was challenging Job, God is the creator of the Earth. The Bible never said God created Universe. Universe is man made term. The Earth is enclosed system and it shows the handiwork if God, it’s masterpiece. Genesis confirm this as well.

    Just to clarify: the animal that God speaks of in the book of Job is not a hippopotamus but actually a dinosaur. Be careful of poor Bible translations, that change the meaning of original texts. In the KJV Bible, for example, this animal is called “the chief of the ways of God” and that “He moveth his tail like a cedar.” Now, does the hippopotamus have a tail like a cedar tree? I think not. This animal is the “chief” or the largest of the animals that God made and so is most probably something like a Brontosaurus or Brachiosaurus. This scripture also gives evidence that dinosaurs did indeed live with man and not millions of years ago as evolution teaches.
