This show helped solidify my decision to follow Christ around the same time my grandfather got (and died from) cancer. It also made me pick up my Bible and read a lot more. I was a pagan before I discovered this show. Thank you, Dallas and Jonathan for this portrayal of Christ.

I'm one of the gen Z's who were deeply impacted by the chosen while I was still searching for God. Now praise the Lord Jesus for His goodness that through the word and shows like this we could be reminded of what grace is. Praying for my generation to be able to know and be transformed by our redeemer savior our only true and living God, Jesus our King!!

i pray all young and old get to know Jesus, it took me until my mid 50's to finally see the truths, and now i am so grateful and talk to Jesus day and night, wherever i am, he's our friend.
This is fantastic. Our world NEEDS this right now. Don’t wait until you’re an older person with life experiences & then learn about Jesus. If it were the other way around, I would have been a much happier woman & would have coped better with life’s challenges. I pray for our younger generations. 💖✝️

Proverbs 22:6... "Train a child in the way he [should] go; and, even when old, he will not swerve from it." We've lost that message, and today, we've created the world in which we have so many problems. It was done deliberately, to remove us from Him, and replace Him with His Adversary, Satan... paving the way for the Antichrist to come as the false Messiah, in the coming Great Tribulation Age. This is why it is ssssoooooooo important we get this series out, and encourage all we can to watch it, even binge it like these nine did.
We must never underestimate the importance of the younger generations seeing the love and compassion of the authentic Jesus in a relatable way. The Chosen makes this a priority! So looking forward to seeing this in its entirety and praying for the impact it will have on others.

The wisest thing anyone has said to me in recent memory is along the lines of “The SAME Holy Spirit that lives in the heart of a believer that is a parent lives in the heart of the believing children; they do not receive some watered down version of the Holy Spirit.”
Wow. I’m Gen Z and I can tell you that sometimes life gets us down so deep it’s hard to follow and remember God. I myself struggle with trusting in him. But this show changed so much. It shows such a deep understanding for teens, adults, and children! Thank you Chosen!!!🙌🏼
more than just watching the chosen, you need the body of Christ. You need older people to disciple you and peers to pursue God together with.

Like Jesus said, "trust in God first and everything thing else will follow." It's not about how much u go to church or if u make it to every pot luck or meeting. That's a works based religion. Not saying being in the body isnt important. But it will follow. And our God gave us a gift so no man can boast. He has been working on me for years my friend. He's saved me from demons and drug addiction. And even when I screw up he convicts my heart still to repent. Now it gives me joy when I hear his voice to repent because it tells me he hasn't given up on me. He helps me change and helps me work through my short comings. So I pray he does for you a thousand fold what he has and is doing for me in my relationship with him. Amen.
Zoomer here! Although I grew up surrounded by the faith, I've only truly come to Christ within the past couple years. The Chosen has helped me *tremendously* in my journey. Thank you!!

So powerful, full of hope. Jonathan's portrayal of Jesus, in The Chosen, is starting to break through young hearts, full of pain,wariness. A true work of God is happening here. We are so blessed to be a part of this journey.
God's hand has been in this show since the very beginning before filming. I hope you get a chance to hear Dallas story on this, it is amazing and all the miracles that have happened during the filming at different times of seasons. God is good, wonderful, and so great. As a fellow zoomer, I AM GLAD THAT WE ARE GETTING SOME RECOGNITION! I feel like my generation can be just written off as godless and self centered but that cannot be more false. The Chosen for me has been wonderful and has only helped me to grow deeper in my faith. I pray that my fellow zoomers, whether they believe or not come to know Jesus through this epic project. I have never encountered Christian media that is this relatable. I am hooked and excited for more. God love you all.

I agree with you in prayer that our peers will come to know the Jesus beyond religion. Beyond structure and rules and condemnation, I pray for them to have an encounter with Him and have a complete revelation of who Jesus is. I agree I am a gen z myself and before I saw the chosen I was told by everyone that Jesus was a stern emotionless man who was only sent to earth to preach. Every movie id watch on Jesus just depicted him as some emotionless man who didn’t have a sense of humor or any humanity in him. Luckily I found the chosen and because of this show my whole perspective on Jesus has changed entirely! Legit I now truly and deeply believe Jesus had an amazing sense of humor that he care about everyone and still cares about everyone and will never forsake anyone no matter what! It comforts me knowing how much the lord loves me and you and everyone! Another thing I love about the chosen is the fact that it shows all the apostles as imperfect because they really were. They were imperfect people who had done many wrong things but that didn’t matter to Jesus, he loved hanging around those who were considered rejects by society and he loved seeing those who suffered thrive and be happy through him and his everlasting atonement. I think the show over all is amazing when it comes to well EVERYTHING! I love this show so much and I will never stop watching it. We may be apart of separate church denominations but I believe the chosen unites all church’s and peoples. This show truly is a gift from god.

Hey fellow Gen Z. I am a believer also and I came to Christ 8 years ago. One thing I think the reason why our generation is leaving the church is because I notice the older generations mock us, if we think even slightly away what is normally thought of. They don’t teach us or guide us, but rather mock us.
I feel for your generation you have tender hearts and when no one tells you what way to go you get swept away by social media. 🤗 I see you guys, you are intelligent you can do it. Give everything to God he will give you multiple times more than what you could do by your self. Blessings 😊🙏 xxoo

Agreed! It's really exciting to see a ministry like this arise during our lifetime. I've made it a regular prayer that God will reach MANY through the Chosen, and perhaps even result in national revival for some countries !! All Glory to Him!

@@lindseyflesher5742 I enjoyed doing this during the college days and a little beyond. Then, began wandering, wounded and wondering what life was all about. That’s when Jesus rescued me! Led me to serve in the Coast Guard where I got to literally rescue others! Met my husband, now married 32 years, 6 children and…maybe leading me back to writing etc with a surprisingly sudden empty nest this year!

I felt the very same way. What a lovely bunch of open, vulnerable people! So relatable. I don't know how they were selected to participate, but the person responsible could make millions as a jury consultant! ;) This was delightful...and deeply touching.

Please watch all the seasons, you will beige on them, I did when I first found The Chosen. I still tell some many about it today. Spread the news for them and The Good News of God. Remember it doesn't replace the Bible or going to church (to Mass). God loves us all.

This was super overwhelming to watch. I cried watching how they were responding and then for Jonathan to speak into one of the guys lives dying GOD IS CALLING YOU…i lost it. Complete waterworks. This show is changing the world in an AMAZING way. I know it has for me

This is FABULOUS! I have a Gen Z son who grew up in church but has pulled away. Please pray for him. He loved the Lord so much when he was little but I think feels jaded by The world. He’s a wonderful young man. I loved seeing these young people realize how much they’re loved.
Don’t ever stop praying for your son! The time is NOW for prodigals to return in Jesus’ name! Talk to him, share your hope ❤️

Christine...me too! Four kids, now adults, and THREE have left the church. Two walk in ways contrary to their upbringing. We NEED to pray for these, and this generation that is so lost.

This is a whole new level for "The Chosen." Yes, it's a great show, appreciated by millions of believers. Now we're seeing a generation introduced to the authentic Jesus whom we already knew and have wanted so desperately to tell them about. Let's pray for open hearts.
Tears rolled down my cheeks when I saw that Jonathan showed up to their discussion. That must have sent a strong message about the love of Jesus to a group who have faced the harshness of this world alone. I can't wait to see the fuller impact The Chosen has had on them. 💗🌻

I appreciate the promotion of the show through this message, and I am so sorry for coming across as a Deddie Downer, but "self-love" is part of our problem as people today.
Our focus should not be on loving and accepting ourselves, because Christ has lavished His love upon us, but on loving HIM and others out of thanksgiving for His love and acceptance of us. We know ourselves and what we were without Him. That should further drive us to be more open to loving and accepting of others as Christ does us (and didn't have to). It's not love of self that's missing from our lives (that's what kept us from God), it's the sacrifice of our love of self and our desires (as Christ's example set for us) to love God and others that is missing from our walks.
Again, so sorry if I came across sounding pompous or legalistic. That is NOT my intention. I just love you all, this show and the message of our Lord's word, and though nobody asked for my opinion, I was compelled to share this. Stay Blessed.
@@chrisa5743 I have to work with young people with problems, as a mom, and as a friend. Also working through issues myself. Yes on one level, if you read ancient Church fathers, they say self love is one of the major passions and the root of many sins. But I know that these people aren't talking about this in a technical theological sense. I was just discussing with my kid about a sticker advocating loving yourself that I received in the mail. Fly lady from my generation stands for finally loving yourself. I think instead of getting too caught up in semantics we can understand them to mostly mean self-care. Essentially this means developing routines to save them from depression and suicide. I try to use the phrase self care instead of self-love, but if someone else uses it I won't correct them, because I'm pretty sure that this is what they mean. They are sometimes suffering from a crisis of confidence, sometimes from a background of bullying and abuse. So it's important not to be critical of word choice in that situation, until like with my kid, we can reach the point where we can discuss what is meant in a non-threatening way.
@@chrisa5743 The more mature Christians need to struggle to be an example of what you are talking about. I think when the younger people see the results they will want to live like that also.
Ive been having the worst anxiety and depersonalization plus stomach issues. The chosen is my favorite show i love the pool of bethesda scene. If i could get a couple prayers thrown my way thatd be great, because im struggling to keep going.

Praying The Chosen brings Jesus to any who are lost!! People including the church (which is full of just broken people) will let you down. Seek and you will find, Jesus is always waiting and wanting you. But He gives us a choice and a free will. He came for the lost He came for YOU!!💞
Angela W. - Yes, totally agree with you and hope more will find our Savior... Yes, church is full of broken people, but that is where we try to get better... We gather to serve each other and learn from each other, as we study the gospel of Jesus Christ, worship Him and His Father, and learn the history of how the Israelites did this too... I have personally found that when we go out and "serve" others, we eventually get healing while we are actually helping others get healed... It is an amazing thing -- we do the work, and sometimes, it is challenging, etc., but if we do it for the right reason, we also get Blessed and our own hurts get healed... And isn't this Exactly what the Savior did His entire 33 years of His beautiful Life??? Yes, it is.... :) God Bless you and yours, Angela W. !

As I've been watching these young people and feeling heartbroken about all going on in society , there they were accepting you!! A miracle. My heart just welmed up with hope for this generation.
My oldest son watched this with me and his eyes lit up. I know this is going to be a way to involve younger generations in the saving message of Christ. To show authentic stories of people on real journeys...journeys that our own kids may experience one day...but that God never leaves them. He is waiting for them, calling to them, inviting them. It's beautiful and something that I'm so excited to see and experience with my son. Thank you!

In this picture, you see Him, you see the door, and you notice -- There is NO door handle on the outside of this door.... WE have to Open the Door from the Inside, and invite Him IN.... Without words... I am a pastor and all I could think is how deeply the church has failed. We've failed to show generations that the living God through His Son Jesus Christ wants to be real in our lives. We've failed to disciple our youth to grow in a thriving walk with the Father through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for portraying both of these ideals in a way that penetrates our souls!

Wow! This is so impactful. It is my prayer that they will find the kind of love that Jesus gives in whatever local church groups they decide to go to. And that God will direct them to His heart and His people. I'm so glad that we can market Jesus to everyone, regardless. God bless the Chosen.
Every time I watch The Chosen I cry like a baby. I can truly feel the hand of God pulling at my heart. I am a Christian. Watching this and reading the gospels make me want to be a better Christian and spread the word of God. God Bless everyone reading this!

I recently (last year) felt a renewed calling to return to God. That inspiration came from watching The Chosen. It was so beautiful and relatable. I have shared my excitement about the show and God with so many people. My husband and 19 year old son have joined me in returning to our faith. But we have been desperately trying to find a church in our town that has a young adult group to help feed and support our sons growth but there is an extreme shortage out there unfortunately. We still haven't found one so this group study may be very helpful to our family indeed. Thank you for doing this. 💞🙏💞

I don't know where you live, but I hope you may want to find The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in your area...They really have very well organized Youth Groups for both the young girls and young men...They meet of course on Sunday, and then another day of the week in the evening... I got the wonderful opportunity to watch the full program at Liberty in Feb!!! its truly amazing and breathtaking, I highly recommend everyone watch it!!!
Thank you, "The Chosen" team for doing this. After watching this I realized how prejudiced I am about Gen-Z thinking they're just a bunch of entitled secularists with frequent bouts of anxiety. And although maybe this description of mine is true, what I failed to remember is that they are not hopeless, and that they are the future. Instead of dismissing them, I should help steer them to the truths of Christianity.
The Chosen helped my younger brother feel a loving connection with Jesus. Since he was saved he has changed so much - he is less angry, he no longer swears (when before he was always cursing), he reads the bible every day, he has dreams where he is on foot in Israel following Jesus with the disciples and hearing The Word of God first hand. He no longer has the same flashbacks (he has ptsd).
Just to add I am a Christian- I was born again in 2015 and have prayed so many times for my younger brother. I love the Chosen as does my 12 year old daughter and we are so excited for season 3!

GOD is speaking through The Chosen in a way that I've never seen before. And it blows my mind. Never fails to make me cry whenever I see people react to Jesus and the show in a major way. Because it displays His love breaking down those walls. May God continues to bless everyone involved with this show. In their hearts, minds, body and soul.

Knowing Him changes everything for the better. I pray that this transforms the younger generations, and helps them to live a life filled with love and gratitude for God. Some of these kids have legitimate fears and my heart goes out to them. Especially the one girl that said she was not protected in the church. I am so sorry for whatever happened to her. We must keep our eyes on Jesus if we want to find Peace, Truth, and Love. What I would like to say to her is, as long as we’re breathing there will always be someone that we need to forgive. Life has vicissitudes whether you believe in Jesus or not. That is life. Stand firm in your faith keep your eyes on Jesus who came so that no one would perish. He requires very little from us, and He promises so much. ❤️💕💕💕
That made my eyes water and was heartbreaking to hear when she said she was terrified of going back to church because she felt like no one protected her. It is just awful that people have had such traumatic experiences in church- of all places. I hope that through The Chosen her fear will be lessened even just a little and that she will see the heart of Jesus and want to seek Him more enough to take that step back into church again. I would encourage her to research good churches in her area and to visit a fairly large church first so she can watch from the sidelines first before diving in.
This makes me weep. Our father desires for ALL to know him. ALL people. Oh that we could really share his heart with those who are lost. And us ourselves get close to our father so we can imitate his authentic love for others. Excellent work chosen team! I know God is working thru this series.

He is all that EXCEPT FOR A REBEL. Jesus came to fulfill the law not to abolish it. He is the fulfillment of the law, no one can keep the law except for Jesus and it’s there to show us how much we need Him. As for a rebel I’m sorry I don’t know where you see that in scripture. He followed the law. He was Jewish so all Jewish feast and laws He observed and loved them. He confronted the sadducees and Pharisees, He actually called them a brood of vipers. And told them they were like white washed tombs ya know in a mausoleum with dead man’s bones all un clean things. The white washed is the persona they put on to the world but inside they were dead spiritually. Jesus never came to make a revolution or be a rebel. He spoke against violence and taught slaves to obey their masters. He always caught people in their trickery so they can kill Him. So no Jesus would never come to start a revolution. That’s not why Jesus came to earth the first time as a vulnerable baby of poor carpenter. Jesus came to the lost sheep of Israel as prophesied, and through His disciples He became a Light to the World and The Glory of His people Israel 🇮🇱. God had a plan all along to bring us back into reconciliation and communion with Him. Genesis 3:15 is the first Prophecy of Jesus’ coming. Jesus was not a zealot He actually rebuked the zealots. Just remember Yeshua came the FIRST Time TO PAY YOUR DEBT TO SAVE YOU! AND HES COMING The 2nd TIME TO SAVE THE REMNANT OF ISRAEL AND ALL THE EARTH DWELLERS WHO DIDNT CURSE HIM AND MADE IT THROUGH THE TRIBULATION TO ENTER HIS KINGDOM.
I’m glad this film brought you all together to have community with each other and to share your love and excitement for Jesus. Just remember what you’re watching is an artistic interpretation of the life of the disciples not JESUS. So much in the film did not happen or did not happen that way so you MUST READ YOUR BIBLE TO KNOW WHO JESUS REALLY IS. HE WAS FULLY HUMAN BUT FULLY DIVINE, HE IS GOD. Enjoy 😉.

Oh my gosh, so powerful. I’m especially moved by the young lady who said she is afraid to go back to church because they didn’t protect her. Come on church, we have to do better, be better! We are so much like the Sons of Thunder wanting God to bring fire down on people for their sins but we forget that we all are sinners. But that’s not what God wants. He wants us to show love and compassion as Jesus teaches us to do. God help us to help all people to come to you. I am going to do better, be better!
How amazing is that to see people understand that Jesus is there for everyone.
Just by accepting Him in your heart, He has the power to heal everyone's hurt.

The world is coming after you even harder than us Gen Xers so we need to reach a hand to you all and help you get through these years. I'm right on the edge between being a millennial and a Gen z, so intrigued to see people my age reacting to The Chosen. In just this clip I felt solidarity with this generation and their thoughts and feelings about religion and spirituality.
Loved this! It's not just about making converts or getting butts in seats at church. It is about leading them into developing a true and vital relationship with our Lord. Like the old song says:

He claimed her, delivered her, spoke the word over her and took her as his own NO QUESTION. I really believe that 1st story- from torment to testimony-every soul is waiting for. As a young millennial I fell away so far from God for over a decade. Went into that phase of partying, drugs, hooking up, and etc. Us younger folks are just so caught up in trying to make that 6 figure salary today and its truly sad. Many people think of this pandemic as a cursed event, but I see it as an awakening. Thank you Chosen staff for helping God bring me back home!
God is using the Chosen in so many lives. I LOVE the Chosen. It’s so raw and beautiful. It makes me love even Jesus more. Jesus is so sweet kind loving and faithful and also so much more

Hot take for the people in the comments who say that “culture” and social media take kids away from the church… Don’t be so quick to lay the “blame” with something outside of you and look at how we can make the CHURCH more welcoming and safe to everyone without judging them. Like how Jesus welcomed everyone who sought him.
Also, if any teens are reading this: I think it’s super normal to start doubting things at your age. I know I did. I think it’s a sign that you’re not just taking things at face value anymore but you want to make it your own and form your own opinion. This is healthy and even though it might feel like your faith is slipping away, it’s just changing. Know that God is stil holding you and is giving you the space to do this. He is very patient. Try and keep talking to Him and listening to Him, ask Him for what you need. He is always listening and always there.
Good advice. I wish I had a gentler answer when my nieces spoke to me. Now that one of them has a daughter, I am teaching myself not to instantly react with "I think", or "you know what you should do". I now say, "let's pray about that, and Jesus will give us the answer we need in a way we can understand". Then, I pray right then and there. Let them see and hear me pray for them. I also apologize to my family for harsh, judgemental opinions I tried to force on them. An apology goes a long way in the healing process.

Something about it, is profoundly moving. In a world with so much fake everything, it's nice how authentic this feels. I know some people take issue with the interpretation of the Bible as portrayed here, however, the message is fundamentally what a relationship with God actually feels like. I've had my seasons where I was the prodigal child, I've had my seasons where I've been a sort of Moses. Through every despair and suffer and and joy and happiness, God is what sits with me quietly, endures it along side of me.

I believe with all my heart and always have. I am so concerned with everyone else’s soul and I try talking to others. I’m not perfect by any means and I found myself in a few of these people. Being able to love myself and wondering why I’m here and if I even want to be. Seeing these people changed by watching “The Chosen” brought tears to my eyes. I tell everyone about this show and how amazing it is. I can’t wait for the day that Jesus comes back. The people that have met and or seen him are so lucky. I'm a 56 year old atheist and I've watched lots and lots off religious films(,my mom and dad made me watch). I've watched the first episode of the chosen and it really has made me an agnostic(I went to Sunday school) I've never been moved so much by a religious program..I'm in very much trepidation to make agonist ism (is that a word?) into a believer!
@Steve Clarke ,Keep watching the Chosen. Even if unsure of God, say a prayer each day asking God to put your face toward the light and truth. Take a step at a time; for some it takes months and years, but for others it takes a moment , to get to the final step to God and Jesus.
