The performance of an orchestra is but the tip of the proverbial iceberg given the work involved in selecting the program and the exhaustive rehearsal that follows to make the concert seem so effortless. I’ve had the good fortune to watch Maestra de la Parra conduct Montreal’s Orchestre Métropolitain and she was an an absolute delight, an artist at the very top of her game. Watched a video of her leading the Frankfurt Radio Symphony this morning and was fascinated with her style of conducting. Appalachian Spring by Copeland. An American piece that I love so much. She is so special.
She is a visionary. She's highlighting the wide variety of Latin American music. Latin Americans are not all salseros, merengueros ni bachateros. Classical musicians are alive and well.

Watched a video of her leading the Frankfurt Radio Symphony this morning and was fascinated with her style of conducting. Appalachian Spring by Copeland. An American piece that I love so much. She is so special.

I was stationed in Bamberg what a beautiful city glad you were there too, I loved that city. Bamberg was founded in the 4th century and the first Pope out Rome Clement the second.
