- Lucille Ball, The Undisputed Queen of TV Comedy stars in her hilarious follow-up to I Love Lucy!
LUCY AND ROBERT GOULET: When poor trucker Chuck Willis is turned down for a loan, Lucy decides to help him by entering him in a Robert Goulet look-alike contest. He loses the contest, but then again, so does the real Robert Goulet.
Well done without film trickery.
I love it when the writers of these classics shows even make the seemingly small roles like the waitress at the beginning of this episode stand out with some good lines/attitude.
Genius.
The secretary at the end too! When she said, I only have two visits to my psychiatrist. Too funny.
Her husband, Sid Gould, was a cousin of Lucille Ball's husband, Gary Morton.
Attention to detail.
Thank you
Poor horse! I wonder why the horses back was so.pulled down...
John Wayne probably sat on it at some point. Seriously though I hope that animal was okay.
Lucy's daughter was funny as well. Lucie is adorable. Lucie is about 63 or 64 now as of 2020
Older as Desi Jr is 67!
She was very good.
I had a crush on goulet when I saw him in this episode
That's Lucy 's daughter as Dottie
I knew it
the waitress is a relative to too I believe. Maybe Lucy's cousins wife? Something like that.
The way Moonie does what Lucy says like she’s really the brains n Boss 🥸
The comment Lucy made the Robert Goulet, "don't look likan Indian", would never fly today.
Lucy and Lucy Jr. ha , ha , ha , ha , ha ! thanks
The way he kept on blowing that smoke into Lucy's face, would not be allowed today, things were so different then.
Omg horse-chan be so cute~
c'est mervieux, love love it xxxxx 60 yrs later just as belting...
Jajajajaja, Lucy is great!!! "Don't leave me", jajajajajaja.
An Eye Opener.
Lucille Ball was on Themes.
The Thompsons Worked with Her as a Core Team.
They Basically are Superb
I love lucy
Lucy such a schemer! 🤣
Robert in makeup looks like a middle aged Eddie Munster from the TV show The Munsters.
What does it mean when she says " don't look like an indian ? "
the ol "how" with the hand in the air trick....
Mary Wicks may NOT have been beautiful but she was so intelligent. Astute. And had such a great personality & talent!
Robert Goulet looks better with the mustache.
I remember this ep from when it was new, and I was only 6 or 7 then. Amazing how these old eps can stay in one's mind. Goulet was cute. This show had several stars on it... John Wayne, Milton Berle, and I think Danny Kaye was on it. This ep is hilarious.
These episodes have to be from season 4 to 6 or 5 an 6
The waitress scene begins at 0:48 Lucy is trying to save money :) Her friend "Dottie" (who joins her at the table) is actually Lucy's real-life daughter.
Lucy makes a soup for the one's who doesn't have food. Lol
Love Mary Wicks!!!!!!
The book on her life is so interesting. It also gives beautiful detail in the era she was btought up in
I highly recommend reading the book!
Your name sounds super familiar to me.
This was so funny. It's my favorite episode, with Lucy getting drafted into the army following behind.
yeah me too 🤣
Oh that poor secretary.......LOL!
LOL
A bowl of hot water? Did you come here to eat or take a bath?
Just get a bowl of soup lady
NicoleAlone:) I’m willing to do that if it keeps me from being broke. Almost cut out on a restaurant before the menu came. Free chips and salsa!
Marinka RMC Go to San Marcos, Texas. Free chips and salsa everywhere. They’re catching on, though.
these shows were so contrived.. and dumb..
Brent Edwards ignorance
Why are you watching them then? And taking the time to write comments?
Brent then why are you watching Lucy
Brent Edwards then walk on by
Some of the endings were stupid on some episodes but the acting & in general the show was great.
