This is when Hollywood was still Glamorous. The actors and actresses were like Royalty. They had such class and an elegance. Not like today's actor's, they are just film actor's. Back in the sixties they were Real Movie Stars and acted... Didn't have to depend on special effects and Green Screens to make the film..

Unfortunately in both programs, she was going in and out of alcohol problems. However, like many stars said, she never let it get in the way of her work. I think this is a prime example.

I used to believe the inaccurate mommy dearest version of Joan until I read more about her , watched her and heard other peoples memory of her including Barbara Stanwyck and Steven Spielberg , her other children …. I find her classy , polite, talented , caring and professional and delightful . Here is to you Joan . Thank you .
