The best damn thing i've seen in a while! Every time i think i might get a cold steel knife, i think of their chopping videos and instantly change my mind 😂
Nice review - and it certainly gets a person thinking. I love the dry humour and satire, and I love the cold facts interspersed throughout the review. I live in Africa. The favourite traditional weapon here is a "panga" aka machete. I think that it's better to have a weapon when you need one, than to not have one. Sure, sure...weapons are all situational - gun vs. sword vs. axe vs. stone vs. ICBM etc... It's also about a craft, though, and aesthetics and the "art of the possible". It's a personal choice. If I were facing some crazy puppy wielding a panga then I would lurve to have in my hands a piece of reliable, cold steel that can match it. A gun would be better, I suppose...even throw a spear at the silly fuck, but... this is a knife review, right?
Thanks man! Adding slow mo and music adds to the edit time... but I'm happy with how I've turned out. It's a combination of things I've seen in a Cold Steel video, Looney tunes, and Stanley Kubrick movies.

The funniest video on RUclips! Much better than rope cutting. I saw a BBQ show with a Filipino that shaved a pig with a Bowie before cooking it; now, that would be a knife review! Imagine a knife that could go through the bones of a pig and have enough edge to shave it. That is advanced knife, bro

The first rule of using slow motion is to make the dumbest face you can. Ok that's really the only rule I know. I have spent way too many hours watching cartoons.
Machetes are too large and cumbersome to take into a tree when you're climbing with spikes, saddle, ropes and chainsaw. Sometimes it's nice to have a heavy knife to remove small limbs on the way up especially if you are usually carrying a medium to large chainsaw that you'd rather only fire up when you're dropping larger branches or section of trunk. I custom built my own for said purpose but I also use it to butcher large animals now as well. You're right about the rust though. I find blood causes rust much faster than water so clean your blade when you're processing the animal. Id rather have my modified machete if I was attacked by a wild animal but I could get the job done with that piece of steel you're holding there. I don't worry about knife fighting cause I usually fight men with my bare hands. In my life a tool like that is a great luxury to be used with pride. I have a hard time understanding why this video seems to think it's a ridiculous item.
Unfortunately it isn't. Some people need tools like this to make our lives less miserable. I clicked on the video to see a serious review of the knife but now I'm watching his videos cause they're funny. I'm also a bit of a troll so I was proding when I saw this video until I found out I liked his channel so that's my bad.
The "Bottle Ballet" is a new high for your videos. I don't always learn something from your videos but by god I almost always get a chuckle out of them. Well done. I.like that knife. I have no use for it, it's not practical, but I love the way it looks. There should be a law against providing it with a placlstic sheath though. That's just not right.
My hope is people learn nothing but are at least entertained! That plastic bottle dangly thing came into my head yesterday... I bought a package of water and didn't know what I was going to do with it. It looks funny, and helps fill in some B-roll that allows me to use the knife and tell a mini story. Thanks man!

@@AdvancedKnifeBro kinda surprised. I've seen reviews where the handle breaks with hard chopping, I think that's part of the reason for the switch to micarta.
