One thing you have omitted is that to release or retract the holder you need to VERY Firmly pull/push the green rim right back. This takes a little more force than is comfortable. Other than that, it's a nice tool.

I’ve got 2 and both very easy to activate. Occasionally it needs a bump back in but not often. Try some silicon spray

This was a good review, I especially like that you showed the one you keep on you and its condition after being used for some time. I bought the Wiha screwdriver which is similar and it broke in my pocket between buying it and getting back to site. Thanks for the review

Glad it was helpful! I’m still using the same one 😆. Although I’ve dropped it many times the only small repair was to glue in the 2 little brass clips that pop out if you spring it out too quickly (after a few drops) and it’s been perfect again since

Got mine today popped it out and it won’t go back in

Mine got stuck immediately. I can't force it back in even with body weight. Other reviews say it will retract with force but it's absolutely not happening.

I just got one and you need to really really push the green button thing down, use two hands. mine takes a lot of force to do. Obviously yours might be a mechanical issue but that's what worked for me
