As an American that stumbled on this podcast due to RUclips's algorithim, I'd be very interested to hear Indian views of the world. Your podcast is really good. This guest is real goodalso and has nailed us pretty well. As far as our political structure, it's going to take a tremndous united effort from the people to dislodge the Washington D.C. power structure back to us. It's been there since our founding. There are intense malevolent forces that want to destroy the American Dream. It is my opinion that were close to a another major terroist attack due to our open border crisis that'll make 9/11 look like a speed bump. I'm also convinced we'll have some kind of civil war or a balkinization. All I have is hope that'll good turn will come. I want peace and cooperation both inside and without the US. It's a tremndous effort for the average American to rise above the lies and deceptions.I humbly ask that you guys send us good/positive prayers in these dark times, please. I'm as average as an american can be and try to live in a way that doesn't trouble others. Please don't repeat our mistakes. Learn from them.
I think that when the 2024 election comes to the US many will get a big surprise. Most ppl are pretty “normal” people just give voice to the most extreme or ridiculous. This guy is talking about America being the furthest left…. No. This is folks who aren’t out in the communities and look to D.C. or whatever is on the news without thinking of the millions sitting here watching and they have come out big to vote in every election post Trump probably until the extremism is propelled out. This Israel-Hamas war shines a spotlight on the “far left” which is l believe more regional. And there’s more than just party reasons why certain folks won’t vote for certain Republicans recently. Most ppl actually say they are Independent…. And he sees China on an upswing while the West is declining. Hmmm 🤔 ok.
@@kth6736 Literally the only thing the Amerian parliament (congress) ever debates is how to fix *literally any of its problems* by negotiating how much go*damn money they should print. Every single solution to any problem comes down to printing of more money.

Bipolar America, hysterical America 🤣 Balaji's understanding, analysis, depth, range and articulate expression is supreme intelligence. Engaging and entertaining. Amazing job Ranveer.
Does it have to be a zero-sum game? It seems like corporations are the enemy here. Is there any way that India can help support small/mid size business in America with the return being requiring the businesses to somehow serve Indians? There are a lot of great caring Americans who didn't go to Harvard, Yale, or Stanford but it is mainly just people from such places who get to set the agenda, and they fail. Somehow let the rest of us participate. The problem with big corporations is they often get too influential with the Government and the government makes all kinds of conditions with them to the corporations favor. If the government focused on small/medium businesses and help the American middle class, where surely such people would want to have a voice and should have a certain insight into helping India they won't be able to dominate Indian politics (because they won't be able to donate or vote). Also if American Middle class can see the benefit of helping India out they would be advocates for India. The Government has to be firm, and have to set the terms, but what all entrepreneurs want is just to make some profit and the opportunity to grow. You don't have to give them everything. You can set stuff like a minimum wage and encourage them to franchise with Indian citizens. But as long as they can still expect to make something and build something they will come. I would argue that what helps countries are as many people who can control their own destiny as possible and if India can be a hub of entrepreneurship and encourage entrepreneurship among its citizens there is no reason why it could not become the focus of the world going forward. But it won't get there by a concentration of wealth as that is what ultimately brings capitalism down.
@@jacquelineanthony1080i think he's absolutely correct in identifying that America is no longer solving its own problems and is in fact manufacturing new ones
As an Indian who has one foot in the US and India, Balaji’s position on many geopolitical views is quite skewed. He utters a lot of what hardcore crypto guys talk about which is de-dollarization. Since he’s quite ready to throw the US under the bus, I wonder after moving to India what he may say about Indian internal issues. He also portrays the US to be this bully & self serving, but one should come to the realization that China as a world super power would be a worse scenario for India.
This is a 2 hour podcast - took around 3 hours to complete it - there are many parts I did hear again and again, switched from 1.5X to normal - crazy - Balaji - come again sooon 🙏🔥

This is by far the best. You were perfect host, getting out of the way and letting us hear him fully. Thoroughly enjoyed it and very happy with the way you are growing with every host.
Enjoyed the conversation - very engaging and thought provoking. Loved the analogies used to explain. Balaji Sreenivasan - great introduction to him. Thank you, Ranveer.

Balaji Srinivasan is genuinely intellectual; it's a joy to hear him put common-sense stuff into an iron-clad logical framework that the most bull-headed of contrarians would find hard to argue with. Common-sense is surprisingly hard to impart, but Balaji does it with elegant eloquence that comes from a habit of thinking things thoroughly through.
Srinivasan is incredibly well-read about business, history, politics, etc. From my experience as an Indian growing up in the US, many educated Indians are still not aware of detailed world history. So many of his references here will probably not be well understood by most listeners of this podcast. For this reason, I think it is imperative for most Indians, especially the young ones, to read about world and financial history and current affairs so they do not end up making the same mistakes as other countries did/do in such an incredible growth stage of India. His reference to the all-in podcast is a must-watch to get a perspective from 4 very smart entrepreneurs/investors of not only how business works but also how the world works. On the flip side, most Americans are ignorant about the world as they have been fed the nonsense about being the best so they do not feel the need to be well-informed about world affairs. Don't be like them!

It's probably extreme elite people who are Americanized are the ones who are anti Modi. I'm just talking about majority of people. Definitely there are pro Modi and anti Modi in every section of the society
Thank you for finally releasing the part 2. We definitely need his inputs into how to strategically gain economic freedom and how we can use blockchain tech to take Indians to another level. I think the bigger reason of communal tension increasing in India is not because of the government but the change of mindset of people earlier people use to neglect this issues but now they can speak or write it to a larger number of people via internet one of the biggest example you talked about vir das
It took me some time to understand the Political Internet. The analogy by Balaji of english peoples settled in america long ago and still being governed by london was an eye opener for me .
I still don't get the analogy. The best I can figure is that he wants the internet and its rules to supersede the Nation State. But who gets to set the Internet Rules?
@@SidFredricksonI guess its like soft power, no one set rules its a way to influence people to think in the interests of the leaderships way ( whomsoever controls that internet narrative)

Loved this show Ranveer. One small non-content suggestion: assess if you can have two ceiling suspended mike (vs a stick). Could see Balaji reach for coffee and the voice was cutting off. Would be a seamless listening experience that way....
Beyond excellent work! This is your best work. I absolutely look up to Tim Ferris so I am thrilled for you to have Balaji S. on your show. Learning a lot!

I’d love to be your Indian Geopolitics 101 Guinea pig so to speak if you want to reach the western audience as a whole.
As an Indian who’s grown up 10 years in India then in NZ and Australia, I LOVE all the topics covered in this podcast👏 I watch a lot of American politics and Joe Rogan… I think you need to do a lot of podcasts with psychedelic experts in India 💯% Indian history is 1000s of years old, so there has to be a lot of experience with how psychedelics have been by us in the past That will lead people to the other interesting podcasts on this channel 🙌
Loved this podcast and Balaji's insights, watched it till the end. It was funny how everything that Balaji was explaining went over Ranveer's head and got clueless and started asking stupid questions!😂😂😂
Communal clashes were common during congress rule Eg.muzzafarpur riots etc Terrorists attacks also happened frequently during congress rule Minorities have more prime time space than hindus Hindus had to be apologetic until 2014 And now at least atrocities against hindus are being reported Most so called attacks on minorities were trumped up to potray hindus in a bad light and in this media played a huge part Remember the kashmir incident, delhi church stone pelting
I enjoyed this two part conversation. Information put it in simple and correct perspective. I hope that the young Indian pay attention to it. Breaking conventions of tunnel vision most of us have about geopolitics. I do not agree with Balaji Srinivasan on a few things. But however he gets so many things right. I have been listening to his podcast he is very articulate and his ability to breakdown the complexity of financial independence in geopolitics and how it affects our lives . Thank you Ranveer you are doing a lot good for the young people of India educating them.
You lost me in the first few minutes only. Did not expected such wrong analysis from Ranveer about urban india and PM. Bringing Veer Das into such conversations about geopolitics is again unnecessary. He does not represent anything other than few woke people
Hello Ranveer, this was an amazing podcast. Thank you very much. Can you bring Sadguru in here? It would be amazing to learn more things that stayed undiscussed with him.
This was such a great podcast episode on geopolitics! Learned so much! Become a fan of Balaji today. Also, as a urban left idealogical person, I have been binging this podcast non stop. Happy to see great podcasts growing in India🎉
Balaji deserves a spot on various Indian podcasts, breaking through the layers of India's policy organizations. Meanwhile, Ranveer has reached a point where he can effortlessly host any guest, not understand jackshit and still extract content for 2 hours, still turn a profit.
India had a bitter taste of Hindi chini bhai bhai and then war, so it's difficult to happen looking at the growth of China in the defense sector along with economy
The only reason China and India has grown is because of the corruption of Western governments and corporations. If government wouldn't allow the export of manufacturing to India and China both these would still be 19th century. If West stupidity not Indian or Chinese brilliance that made both countries rise.

Dont worry. America is a very lucky country. It can do one feckup after another and still remain a good place.
Hmmm 🤔 ok.
Geography is an asset for the USA.
@@kth6736 Literally the only thing the Amerian parliament (congress) ever debates is how to fix *literally any of its problems* by negotiating how much go*damn money they should print.

I don’t get it bad mouthing the country that gave you education and lifestyle

Hi Ranveer, I'm a Malaysian Indian living in Australia.
We totally enjoy the people you bring on your show.
Can I ask if you could get Dr Shiva Ayyadurai to talk on your show?
I don't think Ranveer would ever do that. Dr Shiva is a super controversial figure.
As an American Indian, I really enjoyed his Great perspective, Balaji simplified the geo politics.
U are 2nd person in comments to use the term "American Indian" --- are you Cherokee or Navajo? LOL
Watch ankit shah not him for better knowledge
Now a days i am really bored🫥 with geo political analyst and other guest on various podcast across youtube, but this man MR Balaji S has brought alot of new ideas and thoughts to look at current geopolitical senerio that my mind has blown away🤯 , I need more of this mans worldviews and knowledge on this podcast.❤❤
This was probably one of the best episodes Ranveer has put out to date. Those were some top quality conversations man, keep up the good work! (Hoping to see that India 101 episode soon btw ♥)
I wish hindi Indian audience could get this information. This is so deep and insightful.
AI can do this in near future and Ranveer should be the pilot like how Mr. Beast has multi lingual channel
Why don’t you summarise in Hindi 😂
Watch dr ankit shah vìdeos he has been talking about it for 1 year
Thoroughly enjoyed both parts of the discussion, particularly the well-crafted analogies presented by Balaji.
This is by far the best. You were perfect host, getting out of the way and letting us hear him fully. Thoroughly enjoyed it and very happy with the way you are growing with every host.
Interesting & Informative conversation with S. Balaji , Indian American Investor & Entrepreneur.
Best Wishes to Him.
Balaji Srinivasan what a amazing person on podcast thanks to you ❤ Ranveer can't wait to hear next episode bring him back early 😊
Why didn't you break this in two episodes? My brain's switching off in the middle. Srinivasan shoots insights on insights, pure gold.
He did. This is the second episode. The first one was also about 2 hours long I think
Can't you watch it in 2 installments or is your brain to feeble to figure how to do that ?
Enjoyed the conversation - very engaging and thought provoking. Loved the analogies used to explain. Balaji Sreenivasan - great introduction to him. Thank you, Ranveer.

If India would put up classes on the Internet like you see many people do here on RUclips you would spread educational opportunities throughout the world but especially India where you have people in isolated areas. About the guest I don't think he would know as he is too focused on big business and not the little guy.
Damn .. this guy is bold and courageous; shredding out lies of US government and Western media. Bravo. Very important for indians to see this.

Balaji s is the only speaker whom i listen to at 1X speed. He is just too fast too furious. Love his energy. Try to get naval also ranbir

If only India and China could have a relationship like Canada and USA, they will certainly change global order set by the west.
What makes u think US n Canada have good relations? USA doesn’t care two pence about Canada. Canada is virtually nonexistent for them in all matters
India had a bitter taste of Hindi chini bhai bhai and then war, so it's difficult to happen looking at the growth of China in the defense sector along with economy
This is what the West fears.
The only reason China and India has grown is because of the corruption of Western governments and corporations. If government wouldn't allow the export of manufacturing to India and China both these would still be 19th century.
If West stupidity not Indian or Chinese brilliance that made both countries rise.
