  • Follow along the #projectSPL video series as we build a dB Drag Super Street spl vehicle from scratch. In this video we get started on the enclosure. Lots of wood to cut, fit, and install to get this just right. I show some of the various methods I use during this leg of the install.

Very informative and very thorough video. I remember building the wall in my Kia. I see a lot of similarities with these builds. Piecing together and forming to the contours took the longest to do. Building the actual shell went by really quickly as well as the beauty panels. You really got a lot of work done in such a short amount of time. My new build incorporates a steel cage which is not fun, but it is almost done. Piecing the wood in is going to be fun. All kinds of crazy angles in this other vehicle. The shell shouldn't be too bad I hope. So far we are on track to be finished to go to the show in Florence SC. Tuned in for the next update. Thank you for sharing this awesome build Derrick!

A lot of “other people” don’t have jobs in car audio and work 80+ hours a week. Comments like yours are so damn ignorant.
Did you build the house or apartment you live in?
Did you put the engine together in the car or truck you drive?
Did you build the bed you sleep on?
      How about the dresser?
Ohhh right, that’s different, huh? 🙄
See, I can be ignorant too.
What’s really funny is when people do the build themselves and it sucks, everyone talks shit about how they don’t know what they’re doing and how they should go “educate” themselves or just pay someone to do it. There’s literally no winning with this shit.
