My son just got fitted for his yesterday $1050 🤦🏽♂️ but it’s worth it! As a dual threat QB that takes some unnecessary hits at time, I feel relieved knowing that we can see where he’s taking the most impact and work on ways to correct that.
My little brother just got one it’s honestly so worth the extra 50 dollars it cost over the speedflex highly recommend it posted a video of him in it as well check it out!
Love the new helmet. My favorite part of the helmet is the face mask & the visor. But most importantly the technology that will help the players. The helmet cost about $750.
@@SportsDissected they gotta do something to start protecting that man’s future. 2 major concussions in a season and overall mismanagement of his health from the organization is going to force someone into doing something to protect him.
Also has potential to be used in the future for disputes about penalties of leading with the head on tackles. Definitive proof of where each helmet was oriented when the impact took place, and how hard. That could damn or absolve a player. I could see the NFL using this in the future for all these reasons, as well as player health.

I had the Riddell original bladder helmet in 1989, I bought it myself cause the school had very old Riddell and Bike helmets, the inside pads were fallin out, I played it till college where we had amazin gear!
I remember our shoulder pads in the 80’s n 90’s looked like a Raiders fan, big, clunky, neck rolls, huge thigh hip tail knee pads, nothin like today. We also hit a lot more violently and dirty.
I just got one from a Riddell rep for our highschool team. We looked goofy when our face got scanned though, but it's crazy how advanced helmets are becoming.
I really wish some major football entities like @NFL @CFL @NCAA @SEC @B1GTEN @BIG12 @ACC @PAC12 etc would assist youth football across America and Canada to provide these high quality helmets to the Kids. Youth football is your earliest level in the football farm system why not protect your investment. SMH....

It's because your brain is sitting in your skull surrounded by fluid. Now if someone alligator rolls you and you're head whiplashes back like when Tua got his concussion against the Packers. The helmet will protect your skull and will absorb some of the impact, but it cannot really stop your brain from moving around in your head. So when your head hits the turf, your brain still bounces the inside of your skull pretty violently, which results in trauma. After repeatedly getting rocked like that week after week, your brain will eventually just give out, and you'll start to develop CTE. Ask anyone who has played football, most of them get brain damage at some point. its always been an issue, even back in the day. It's just more apparent now, because people know about CTE. The sport is violent and these players are aware of the risks.
Unless you’re a youth coach all of that is definitely handled by the coaches or equipment staff.. wish I had these helmets when I played.. CTE is no joke

Man y'all don't care AT ALL about the health and safety of players, you saw an issue, and created a helmet that charges users to see data and you're marketing it as "safer". That's really crummy.

Which is crazy bc he was at the school prior picking up the school’s equipment for reconditioning. The school is changing the color of their helmets from blue to yellow so he literally had to call the coach to get the correct pan-tone number so that the helmet matches the rest of the teams. Smh super shady/corny
Yet please explain why concussions are rampant in the NFL, college football, and lower leagues despite you claiming your helmet is this Pandora’s box to all problems. You charge and arm and leg for the helmet for a price that nobody can afford, unless you’re a D1 or NFL team, and there’s no guarantee it’ll do what’s it’s supposed to do. Riddell has been scummy for years, half of this video is buzz words and pseudo testing. All you care about is profit and pleasing the shareholders.
Based on this comment I can tell you have no idea what your talking about. I have been in the industry for 15+ years. These helmets speak for themselves. Helmet technology has come along way, concussions have dramatically been reduced in the past 20 years. All helmet manufacturers are held to the same NOCSAE standards. On top of that, Virginia Tech University has been testing all helmets every year since 2011 and rate each helmet every year.
The helmet is great but the problem is, humans should not be exposed to the kinds of impact integral to football. That amount of data collection could provide evidence that football should be banned in high school. I'm surprised the NFL would agree to the whole monitoring thing. I'ts, potentially, bad for business.

It wasn't taken seriously years ago... Many of those players probably had head injuries, but were told to just shake it off and get back on the field.
